Self Publishing At The Speed Of Thought

Self Publishing At The Speed Of Thought

by: Jack Humphrey

Publishing, both electronic and hard copy, from articles to books, has come a long way in recent years. I used to be fascinated by anyone who had become a ‘realก author of a book. For that matter, anyone who had been published in a magazine or newspaper!

The whole thing seemed so validating for authors, yet getting published, so cryptic. How do you become กpublished?ก How did you get someone to take your subject so seriously that they gave you a retainer to finish your project and then published and sold your books for you?

These and many other questions always flew around my head in the years that it took me to figure out how publishing, the traditional kind, worked. Then came the internet. Then everything changed.

And the changes today are more radical than ever before. You can completely publish your own work from the first sentence you write to the first time you flip through the pages of your book, all through the internet.

In fact, self publishing your own book is verging on common place these days. And publishing your work entirely on the web, with blogs or through a regular website is almost old hat to many people.

Some very famous people today are กbloggers.ก People who have a site that they constantly and instantly update with their articles and blurbs on politics and trillions of other subjects. If you don’t have a blog in some circles, you are not even considered worth talking to.

If you are an aspiring writer and are mystified by traditional publishing กrulesก fear not! You can take the bull by the horns and publish on the web by choosing from all kinds of software and services that suit you best.

If you want a book you wrote to be published, to hold in your hands and give to friends and family and even stock in Barnes and Noble or sell at Amazon, nothing is holding you back anymore! You can literally control the whole publishing process from start to finish yourself.

There are print on demand services that cater solely to self publishers these days. You can have a batch of books printed in runs as small as 50 books at very reasonable prices. Here is just one source of valuable self publishing information I found with a quick search engine query:

http://www.bookpublisher.com/publishyourbook.cfm

There are myriad free sources of information on the web that teach you how to get your own ISBN and UPC codes so you can sell your book in major and minor bookstores anywhere in the world.

I know people who have taken their self published books and gone to #1 on Amazon with them through savvy, guerillastyle marketing campaigns that really aren’t that hard to learn and master.

If you aren’t into paper it is even easier to get published and become known through the internet. You no longer have to be a geek to figure it out and there and tons of resources out there to help you figure out which method of online publishing is right for you.

If you are an article writer you can become an almost overnight success just by learning how to get syndicated all over the web, possibly being picked up by a very major online or offline publisher. I know people whoกs entire lives have changed over night, literally, after syndicating their articles to choice publishing กclearinghousesก on the net.

Below are just a few of the hundreds of sites that can help you get started learning about publishing online and offline.

Tale Chaser Publishing is a self publishing directory and information library on various self publishing topics for people looking into getting published online or off. http://talechaserpublishing.com

EquipMint.com is an online promoterกs Valhalla. Although there are many specialized marketing resources there for people to learn about marketing their websites, there are a few gems of information for self publishers including links to places that can have your work in front of every major online publisher you can imagine. http://equipmint.com

You can also find some syndication and promotion tools at Webmaster Traffic Tools. http://webmastertraffictools.com

Want to write the perfect press release for your website, blog, or book? Then take a free press release writing course at http://goodpressreleases.com.

Bottom line is: There are no more excuses for not getting your work published. With some work and research into the new technology and avenues for publishing that are available to anyone these days, you can become known in a very big way without having to pitch to major labels.

In fact, if you really do your homework, you can learn how to have the big publishers pitching YOU for deals!

The ONE Thing YOU Should Focus On Right Now

The ONE Thing YOU Should Focus On Right Now

by: Lynn Terry

Let me just start out by saying that I cant tell you what that กone thingก is. It is for you to choose, and for you to do.

Thereกs a lot of talk out there among the กexpertsก about how to get rich, how to become successful, how to do this or how to do that. Itกs very easy to get distracted, and even easier to become overwhelmed. กInformation Overloadก, they call it.

The truth is, there are A LOT of viable business ideas out there. There are MANY ways to become successful or wealthy. There is TONS of potential in online marketing. And thereกs still PLENTY of room for you to step in and claim your fortune.

The question is: What are you going to do?

You could:

write a book or an ebook

promote affiliate programs via PPC

sell products on eBay

create & optimize contentrich sites in niche markets

build an empire of minisites

become a public speaker

be a web designer, copywriter or VA

That list could go on and on… and on. What I see all too often is that many people try to do ‘the whole listก. Or at least several at once. And that can be okay if your focus is one and the same in all things that you are doing. Or it can be disastrous. A recipe for failure.

Maybe you can relate to this scenario: You set out to do something, and it takes longer to earn the amount you had hoped for… and then you see another option. You try it out, it does pretty well, so you put some time and energy into it. Something happens rules change, markets fluctuate, algorithms change and you’re moved two steps back. You’re introduced with something new, more stable, and you focus on that instead.

This is a familiar story. If you haven’t experienced it yourself youกve certainly heard about someone who has. And theyกll tell you that the business idea they started out with originally was a failure, or that there was กno m0ney in itก or ‘too much competitionก.

Youกve probably heard that you shouldn’t have all of your eggs in one basket. That you should create 10 microniche websites that earn $1,000/month instead of one larger website that will earn you $10,000/month. In less than one hour of surfing the กnet, you might be told to do this, do that, promote x and build z. All of it sounds good. All of it could work. Try to do all of it at once and you’re going to be in trouble.

The key is to have a FOCUS.

Choose one thing and do it WELL. For example, if you have a contentrich website, you can also offer an ebook on the same topic. You can capitalize on affiliate sales, or Adsense clickthroughกs. You can build a highly targeted 0ptin mailing list. You can incorporate an กupsellก and backend sales into your shopping cart. You can set up your own affiliate program.

Basically, you want to build on the foundation you already have and make it stronger, make it bigger… make it more profitable! Sure you can implement all of these new methods and strategies that you learn. But don’t set out to do something completely NEW when you have already invested the time and energy into a project you haven’t yet completed. Instead, focus on making it the BEST.

Once it is running smooth on its own, and completely automated, you may want to build another or focus on something entirely different. But if you’re trying to build on 10 things at once, or find yourself working in entirely too many directions… itกs time to take stock, go back to the foundation, and decide how you can best finish building on that original idea of yours.

And thatกs it. Thatกs the ONE thing that YOU should be focusing on right now.

The Brand Called You

The Brand Called You

by: Steven Van Yoder

Every company has a reputation. Everyone you meet will form an opinion about your company, even if they have not done business with you yet. The challenge is to manage your reputation so that the opinion that people have of you is positive. This is what creates a brand.

Brands have a number of strategic functions, enabling you to:

Differentiate yourself from your competition

Position your focused message in the hearts and minds of your target customers

Persist and be consistent in your marketing efforts

Customize your services to reflect your personal brand

Deliver your message clearly and quickly

Project credibility

Strike an emotional chord

Create strong user loyalty

For small businesses, branding is not about slick advertisements. Smallbusiness branding is about getting your target market to see you as the preferred choice. Building a slightly famous brand is not just about what you do; itกs about what you do differently from everyone else.

Building Your Brand

A brand is a promise of the value your clients will receive. In an amazingly complex and competing worldwhere itís increasingly hard to know whatís real and whatís nothaving your customers not only acknowledge but support the promise of your brand is the key to building a thriving business.

To become a brand, youกve got to become relentlessly focused on what you do that adds value. Do you deliver your work on time, every time? Do you anticipate and solve problems before they become crises? Do your clients save money and headaches just by having you on the team? Do you complete projects within the allotted budget?

Branding integrates customer service, sales promotion, public relations, direct mail, newsletters, discounts, event sponsorship, word of mouth and other communications tactics to present a unified message about the company, its products or services.

Your brand will integrate all your marketing around a core idea and vision. As a result, you will find it easier to sell yourself, because your message will be uniform and powerful. Every business needs to evaluate its brand identity against the following criteria:

Relevance to the Market

A brand must stand for something that is meaningful to members of a target market. Your brand encompasses the total experience of doing business with you.

Consistency of Behavior

Customers must be able to depend on the brand to deliver the same experience every time. Because your market experiences your values through your brand, the only way they will truly become loyal to your brand is through your dedication and consistency.

RelationshipBuilding

A brand is not a logo or an advertising strategy. ‘the strength of any brand is in the relationship it has between a company and its customers. The stronger the relationship, the more business they will do, and the more likely it is that customers will refer them to their friends and business associates.

Loyalty to the Customer Is Returned

The test of a brand is, in fact, the strength of loyalty it generates. If you have a strong relationship with your target audience, then you have a strong brand and a strong business.

Reputation Is Priceless

The only way to be successful in business is by establishing a good reputation, and a brand can help you do that. Your reputation works as your strongest marketer by communicating the relationship you have with people whoกve done business with you, and your target market in general.

Good brands stand the test of time. To develop a brand that will last a lifetime, go beyond what you do right now. Think long term. Look at Coke, Ford and General Electric. No matter what they sell or how they change over time, they can rely on their brand equity build on a foundation of customer trust to take them deep into their customerís trust quotient and keep them there.

If you establish a place of trust and relevance in prospectsก minds, you’re already in the door. The more people believe in your brand, the more it will spread throughout your niche market without your pushing. If your brand is clear, distinctive, and easily understood, and expresses a unique, compelling benefit that people believe in, it will bring you all the business you can handle.

Internet: The Darling Of Business

Internet: The Darling Of Business

by: Arun Pal Singh

Internet has become indispensable in our lives. It has become the biggest source of communication and information for us. Just pause for a while and imagine being without it.

Impossible huh!

Yes! Though called virtual this world of internet is a reality of our lives. As the time moves ahead and technology becomes more sophisticated the internet will penetrate deeper into our lives, works and cultures. Our next generations to come will witness a world which will make our look like prehistoric.

Quite a percentage of population uses the internet. But most of are unaware of the potential it has to churn out the money.

Internet has become a business arena like nothing else. There are innumerable ways to make tons of money here. Every company from small to large has to have a web presence in order to succeed. You will agree with me that every successful company does have a web address which they display wherever possible.

Why?

First the technology of the net has made the whole world into your market. Web technology including websites and browsers permit a far more number of communications possible.

Whether you provide a service or sell a product, you reach millions and millions of potential customers. Any one who has a computer and internet connection is your potential consumer. Can you think such a reach possible using any other method!

Second reason is the economy of running a business. The cost of setting up and running a business is a fraction of what you need to run a business in the real life brick and mortar business. The internet saves you cost of running and maintaining the office, reduces the number of staff required to run the business and many others.

In fact a number of home businesses on the net are run by a single individuals and quite a number of them do this in their extra time after the office.

Third reason is that the business on the net runs 24 hours a day throughout the year. Once your internet shop or website is up and running it never closes until you want it to. When one part of the world sleeps other wakes up. Your office is up and running throughout day and night. Minimum of office hassles and minimum of employee related headaches.

That implies two things

You have more time for yourself. You can enjoy your life better; devote more attention to your family and hobbies.

You need to work for lesser time to run the business. If you are working you need not to leave your job while you grow your business.

It is no wonder that there are more webpages now than the human population on the earth. More and more people are turning to the net to make a good living.

Internet has surely become darling of business.

Have you embraced it yet?

10 EXCELLENT Reasons to Start Your Own Discussion

10 EXCELLENT Reasons to Start Your Own Discussion Forum

by: Rosalind Gardner

Riches, fame, glory … OK, thatกs perhaps exaggerating somewhat, but running a successful forum can certainly make you very popular and bulk out the wallet considerably.

Here are the ten best reasons to start your own discussion forum:

Meet People

Do you love to garden, do woodworking or build model airplanes? Visit a forum on any niche topic and youกll meet others who are also interested in that topic.

Share and Learn

Help others by sharing your knowledge and learn from those with new and different experience.

Increase RECOGNITION

Repeated posting is a great way to get your name out there.

Enhance Credibility

Become known as an กexpertก by providing thoughtful answers and suggestions to questions posed on the forum.

Boost Traffic

As you become more widely known as an expert, your name and URL will be mentioned elsewhere on the web, which then brings more visitors to your site.

Improve Site Ranking

More visitors means better page rankings at Google and higher search engine listings at all the major search engines which in turn means MORE traffic still!

Create Information Database

Any product or service sold generates a set of commonly asked questions. Post answers on your forum and then send people directly to the specific answer on your site. (Having them go to your site will also help boost your page rank and bring in still MORE visitors!)

Reduce Workload

Regular forum participants will answer questions that others have posted, thereby reducing your workload.

Gather Information and Feedback

Need new ideas for products? Post your own questions to find out what your forum visitors most want and need then use that information to:

Promote Products

Display ads for products related to your forum visitorsก interests at the top and bottom of every page. Ads can be for your own products or for merchants with whom you are affiliated. Post new messages when you have a new product that your visitors will be interested in.

Those are just the obvious reasons Iกm sure youกll discover many more benefits when you become master of your own forum.

Should You Write a Book?

Should You Write a Book?

by: Steven Van Yoder

One morning, you open your inbox and find several emails that will boost your business. There is an invitation to speak at a local group comprised of your best prospects. Several emails have arrived from people whoกve กheard of youก and inquire about your services.

There is a message from a potential joint venture partner who has invited you to be a guest on a teleconference that will reach 500 people, all of them prospects. Later that day, a journalist calls. She wants to write a story about your business, which she heard about on a radio interview you gave weeks earlier.

Is this a fantasy? No. This could be a typical day in your life as a published author.

More and more business people are realizing the power of writing a book to catapult their businesses to a higher level. Speakers, consultants, coaches, therapists and other small business owners are learning that publishing a book is one of the most powerful marketing strategies available.

Published authors report that their lives change, often dramatically, when their books reach the marketplace. When you become an author, you become known as the expert. When you are known as an expert in your field, whatever your field, you will find that the world will beat a path to your door.

A Book Generates Visibility and Attracts Clients

Of all the information products you can create, a book has the greatest potential to open doors. A book can give you more recognition and professional credibility than audiotapes, CDs, videos, seminars, workshops and public speaking.

Since my book Get Slightly Famous was published last year, I have been amazed at how it has transformed my business.

Publishing my book was a newsworthy event that resulted in tens of thousands of dollars in new business, highprofile media coverage, speaking engagements, radio interviews, partnership opportunities, and too many other benefits to mention.

Prospective clients now hear about me from all over the world. The media regularly call me, and I appear in newspaper articles and radio interviews.

Get Slightly Famous is not just my most effective marketing tool. It has become the core of my brand identity. My book provides a marketing platform for my business that gives all my marketing efforts a natural, sharp focus.

Best of all, marketing is not such a struggle anymore.

As a successful author you will find the stress of constantly seeking new clients can largely become a thing of the past. Clients will seek you out, ready to pay good money for your services, because you are seen as a leader in your field. You become their first choice.

Itกs Not Just a Book Itกs a Business!

Your book is the seed from which you can grow a multifaceted กempireกก of related products and services, including seminars, teleclasses, reports, consulting packages, audiotapes, and other profitable information products.

Imagine selling thousands of books to trade associations as premiums for their members. Or how about creating a $49amonth newsletter, a $995 homestudy course, a $499 a year membership web site? Could you use your book as the basis for a yearlong mentorship program for which individuals or groups that pay thousands of dollars a piece to participate?

The idea is to see your book as a launching pad for new business opportunities.

Barbara Hemphill used her book Taming The Paper Tiger to develop a multipronged branding strategy. Hemphill offers organizing skills services designed to reduce stress and increase productivity. Her business is based almost entirely on her book.

Barbara has used her book to develop Taming the Paper Tiger software, gain an endorsement by Pendaflex, and found the Hemphill Productivity Institute. Her company now employs more than 70 Paper Tiger authorized consultants across the U.S. and Canada.

You can write a book!

Me, publish a book, you ask? Yes, you. It is easier than you might think, and you don’t need to be a seasoned writer to become a published author.

Writing a successful book is not the easiest thing in the world, but it is entirely possible. The talents and expertise you bring to your clients can form the basis of a successful book. If you know your subject area, and can communicate your ideas in a clear, compelling, organized manner, becoming a published author is within your reach.

A strategy that works for many is to break the process into smaller steps by writing a series of articles. They then become the basis for a book. Or, you can work with a talented freelance writer to help you express your ideas clearly and with conviction.

The most traditional route is to find a publisher who will handle the production, marketing, promotion and distribution. This involves up front work (you write a detailed proposal, a table of contents, sample chapters and a market overview). Then you shop the proposal around to potential publishers, either on your own or with the help of a commissioned agent.

Selfpublishing has many advantages over traditional publishing, the most compelling being greater financial returns for the author. กWhen you selfpublish, you keep all the profits,ก says Dan Poynter, author of The SelfPublishing Manual. กAdditionally, you get into print quickly, own the copyright, and take all applicable tax breaks.ก

On the downside, selfpublishing can be expensive. You pay up front for all the production and distribution costs, and if your book does not sell, you will be stuck with the leftover inventory. However, if your book is successful, you will not only have the satisfaction and advantages of being a published author, you will make more money.

Whatever publishing route you choose, the Internet provides a global marketplace for your book. Never before has it been so easy to market a book if you are willing to invest the time and energy to write one.

Are You The Boss Or The Employee Of Your Business?

Are You The Boss Or The Employee Of Your Business?

by: Henry Gold

I remember when I was working, back in 1996, I was a totally lazy person. If my boss ordered me to do something, I listened to what he said, but in my heart, I kept complaining that I needed to find a new job with a better employer.

All I thought about was getting a better job, with better pay, in a better environment.

However, I never thought about it from my bosses point of view, untill I became my own boss.

******

Here is what I remembered about him…

He said กHenry, you need to be able to expand your boundary, if you would like to become very successful.ก

กI see you have great potential, but you lack ambition to get to where you want to go.ก

*******

I remembered that he was always busy talking to clients, busy improving the store condition, and busy organizing work for the employees.

He was also busy reminding me to finish my work on time. He set deadlines and expected me to meet them each and every time.

I could feel that whenever he failed to meet a deadline he was very frustrated and disappointed with his own performance.

Once we finalised a project he would treat us to dinner. However, the next day, he would start a new project again without even slowing down.

Working with him, lead me to understand that his success was based on discipline and hard work, not just a type of luck that everybody is hoping for.

Here is how I started…

As you may have noticed, I started my Internet business in 1999.

During that time, I kept finding many good leaders in Internet marketing. I joined one opportunity after the other.

But nothing worked at all 🙁

I joined several M.ultiLevelMarketing programs which I failed at, and even lost over $10,000 calling up leads as I had been taught on the teleconference. When I saw one guy earning $10,000 in 3 days, I joined his bizopportunity. When I failed to produce any results, I found what I thought was a better business opportunity.

Failure after failure, I almost gave up the idea of socalled กw.ork at home opportunitiesก. I began to think that may be Internet business was not for me.

It brought me to the point where I was thinking about my past employers, who had taught me how to be disciplined and how to push my limits.

I was thinking about the real reason why I had failed. It was not because it didn’t work, but because I hadn’t developed my own principles for becoming successful.

Surely it is in everyoneกs own interest to become successful. Every bizop owner says he will help you to become #1 seller by promoting his programs.

Think about it seriously, does he really care about how you feel when you fail. Does he care about how miserable you become when you fail instead of reaching your goal?

The truth is กNO ONE WILL CAREก.

The truth is, he has got thousands of people he has to take care of right now. He is too busy finishing his work to ask you กAre you ok?ก

************************

Being the boss means…., you need to:

1. Face every obstacle that comes your way. 2. Accept the truth. No one can help you except yourself. 3. Take responsiblity to change the quality of your life. 4. Be disciplined and learn from the mistakes along the way. 5. Finish every task on time.

*************************

I frequently suffer from lack of sleep and food, but I enjoy it because I keep thinking about the end result, the end of this month, next month, 1 year from now, or even 5 years from now.

But unsucessful people keep worrying about their future by saying,ก What if it doesn’t work, what would they say?ก

The truth is, กNO ONE WILL CAREก.

Henry, how can I become a true leader?

Be yourself. Imagine the end result, and use other peopleกs knowledge to create your own result.

I found out that if I kept joining business opportunities, I would create an OK income, however, instead of just being the seller, I would like to be the owner.

It means that instead of helping him to sell his products, you learn how to become him by helping others to sell your own products.

For example:

Ask yourself: Who is more powerful?

The one who uses the computer or the one who built the computer?

The one who uses Microsoft word or the one who built Microsoft word?

Itกs obvious, the answer will be the builder, not the user. Itกs obvious that the owner of the bizop is powerful, not the seller.

Henry, how can I become the builder?

When you start your own Internet business, don’t just promote affiliate programs, but open your own Estore with your own unique purpose.

Once you have built it up, use the business opportunity or other similiar program as a plugin opportunity.

Thatกs the only way you can become very successful online.

Another important thing is: Learn as much as possible from people who are the leaders in this field. One of the best ways, is to purchase their courses, books, audio, or even to participate in their seminars.

With the combination of leadership inside you and your willingness to expand your limits, you will definitely become a leader in the industry of your choice.

This is what I call 100% success rate.

Closing note: Many people who send me emails on a daily basis are totally negative about their current work situation as well as their current financial situation.

Your willingness to change the present by pushing your limits, is the only way you can become very successful online.

Remember: If you keep expecting that somebody will rescue you, or one day you will win $1,000,000 from lottery or gambling, you will NEVER become successful.

Take charge of your life by changing your habits. Instead of feeling depressed about life, you should concentrate on finding a solution to the problem.

Your life will definitely become very successful.

Because Your Lucky Number Is?

Because Your Lucky Number Is?

by: John Taylor

I am a strong believer in the Pareto Principle, otherwise known as the 80/20 rule, or the rule of the vital few and the trivial many.

In any human activity, just a small group of factors is responsible for the lionกs share of success.

For example, just 20% of affiliates earn 80% of the commissions.

20% of authors sell 80% of all books.

Only 20% of the people who read this article will benefit from taking action.

20% of your daily activities generate 80% of your success and income; and so on.

Have you figured out what your lucky number is yet?

Yes itกs the magic 20 percent, you don’t need to master scores of techniques and learn hundreds of secrets. Just a few the right few will bring you outrageous online success.

Thatกs why itกs important that you take time to identify the best places to invest your time an energy. Choose the affiliate programmes that generate the best return. Identify the ezines and web sites that create profitable returns on your advertising efforts.

Invest your time in developing the skills, knowledge and experience required to become one of the successful 20% of all affiliates

Learn and apply the right skills and techniques and you will become a giant of your industry. You will grow richer than you ever would otherwise. And you will be happy, because achievement is the key to happiness.

In short, you will succeed by mastering the vital few, while others squander their time on the trivial many.

Where can you learn those vital few skills?

Here are my top three recommendations…

Firstly, James Martellกs 8step process, which currently sells for $167, provides every piece to the puzzle of affiliate marketing and guarantees that anyone who follows in his footsteps will succeed! http://goclick.com/to/martell

And then in the less expensive ($47) The Super Affiliate Handbook Rosalind Gardner really goes into the details on how you can build you own profitable Internet business. http://goclick.com/to/gardner

And finally, thereกs an interesting alternative to just reading ebooks. There is a brand new programme that just gives you baby step instructions. You will enjoy UNLIMITED step by step training for any and AS MANY affiliate programs as you want. And, at the time of writing, you can get started for only $29.97 http://goclick.com/to/class

Whichever one you choose, please DO ensure that you are one of the 20% who takes action. Because, if you invest your time in developing the right skills, you too could become a member of the 20% club and earn your share of the 80% in commissions!

Do you think ANY of these gentlemen don’t think the ends justified the means?

Do you think for an instant that the months and years invested hasn’t been rewarded a thousand times at least? You don’t even have to think about it, do you?

So now you know ! It takes an average of 3 YEARS to build a significant income on the internet.

Every house is build brick by brick. So is your business !

Of course we all want to go faster. But we have to start at the base first. Itกs a basic law. We are subject to time and circumstances.

We have to learn. We have to experiment. With learning and experimenting we get experience. And with experience we become an expert.

We have to set goals. The goals will guide us one step at a time. It will will pave the way to our success.

You cannot go on a road trip without knowing your destination. You need a map. You need time. You need to rest. You need to eat. And sometimes there is roadblock.

When we hit a dead end we turn back and take another road. But we keep going to our destination.

Itกs the same thing with your home business. There is bumps and jumps and sometimes we crash. But we always keep our eyes to the goal. That is what give us the drive. Itกs our paradise. The goal become our existence. And it is.

By never, never giving up you will reach your goal one day. One mile at a time. Itกs impossible that you won’t reach it. Unless you die.

Thatกs the only secrets to success. One client at a time. One step at a time. 100 client at a time. Until you reach thousand like me and make your $100,000 a year and +.

To make $100,000 a year, start by making $100 per month. After $200 a month. And after $500 a month. And after $5000. And so on and so on.

Day by day, your on your way to succeed, week by week your on your way to succeed, month after month your on you way to succeed, year after year your on your way to succeed.

Until you reach your goal in 3 YEARS. (Maybe less, Maybe More.)

We reap what we sow, but the harvest is never in the same season as the planting! Today you are planting…and will be at least for the next several months.

Your harvest will come in time. Be persistent. Be patient. Think long term. Take action every day, (no matter how small) to build your business and you cannot fail.

MY 11 SECRETS TO BECOME A MILLIONAIRE

1. Your first ultimate start must include written goals and plans. Formulate a plan of weekly activity and be persistent in following it—if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Sticking to your plan is essential for success.

2.Don’t wait for everything to be exactly right to start…THERE WILL NEVER BE A กPERFECTก TIME! Start now, with whatever you have.

The things you need will come to you as you work toward your goal. You cannot become successful in anything when you’re trying to do too many things at once.

3. Treat your business as a serious, fulltime business, and it will become one. Think of your first six months primarily as a training period. Don’t expect large earnings until after youกve educated yourself.

4. Be patient. Youกll work the hardest your first six months or so and get compensated the least. Big incomes never happen overnight.

They only come after youกve properly shown your affiliates how to duplicate your efforts. Always be ENTHUSIASTIC!! Don’t give yourself unrealistic expectations.

5. Don’t complain to your upline leaders. Realize that what you accomplish is mainly in your hands, no one elseกs.

Also realize that, when you see a problem, 95% of the time there are factors you are unaware of. Don’t jump to conclusions. When you have a problem, present it in a concise letter as positive, constructive criticism. Offer solutions if possible, too.

Not only will this approach get you better results, but youกll be building your relationship with your upline instead of tearing it down.

6. Be organized, but don’t allow the act of organizing keep you from the most important element of a successful business: MARKETING.

Market and promote your business EVERY DAY! Don’t let little problems upset you. Concentrate on the many positives…and the กbig picture.ก

7. Always remember that the only thing that will never change is that there will always be changes. Don’t let changes upset you.

Know that you will have to deal with changes and other obstacles, both big and small, continually. Be prepared to be flexible.

8. Don’t be a negative thinker and don’t let the negative attitudes of others (even if they’re family members, friends, or peers) influence you.

All the great men and women in history had to overcome the naysayers who said it couldn’t be done—and then went out and did it. Think for yourself!

9. Don’t be derailed by กperfection paralysis.ก Realize that you won’t be able to do everything perfectly. Do the best job you can, then move on to the next project. Keep learning and keep moving ahead.

10. Read books (such as Napoleon Hillกs classic, ‘think And Grow Richก) that will convince you how powerful your mind really is. Develop the tremendous potential in you (that we all have) that has never been tapped!

11. Don’t quit. The only way to fail is if you give up. Remember always…กYou are what you think you areก

The Seven Traits Needed To Become A Leader In Netw

The Seven Traits Needed To Become A Leader In Network Marketing

by: Terry Stewart

Do you ever wonder what character traits are needed to become a successful leader in network marketing. Network marketing is a very hard business to do it is not a get rich vehicle. This industry needs a certain type of person to be successful.

To build a down line which can earn you a residual income you need to become a leader who leads by example so your organisation duplicates you. You Need seven traits:

Drive

Persistence

Teachability

Thick Skin

Positive Attitude

Compassion

Vision

As the leader of your organisation you need to have drive. Drive for yourself so that your group can see and feel your drive and they will follow in your Footsteps. Imagine that you have two children a large mortgage to pay and not a lot of income coming in. Circumstance like that will give you the drive to Succeed through the bad times.

You also need to have persistence a good leader knows that you need to keep going . All to often people stop just as they are about to get some where they stop one yard in front of the finishing line. A true successful marketer will keep on until they achieve their goals.

You must be teachable only then can you rise up and become a leader. How Can you lead if you do not know what it takes to be a leader. You can not you run before you can walk, so if you don’t know what it takes to lead how can advise your organisation.

As I said previously network marketing is a hard business. So you need to Develop a thick skin to see you through to achieve your goals. There will be people out there who will criticise and knock you every turn you make. No one has ever attained success without first enduring a withering hail of criticism from friend and foe alike.

Another important trait to have is a positive attitude, When you are seen with a positive attitude it spreads through your organisation. You cannot have encourage Others If your thinking is pessimistic and downbeat. Positive thinking is essential for a leader.

It is very easy for leaders to fall into the trap of thinking people in their downline as Just tools or instruments to do with as they will. They would motivate the group far better by Showing some compassion. Compassion is the another trait needed for leaders in networking marketing. People tend to react better when shown a little encouragement as opposed to being relentlessly driven.

To get all your organisation pointing in the same direction at once you need to have a vision which can be shared by the whole group. The key to having a vision is to get your whole group believing in it and pulling in the same direction.

So you see the seven traits when all used in conjunction can help you become a successful Leader and in turn your organisation will duplicate you. The benefit of this is obvious to See you will get other leaders in your group, your group will become self sufficient and you will have residual income for ever.

Online Marketing Dontกs

Online Marketing Dontกs

by: Jessica Klein

There are over 200 million people worldwide connected to the Internet, with over 64 million regular users in America. It’s no wonder that such a vast audience has made online marketing one of the fastest growing industries in the world. However, half the trick of conducing successful ecommerce is finding a way to get people to your site in the first place—hence online advertising.

Internet advertising generated an astounding $1.92 billion in 1999, double from the amount generated in the previous year.

According to the Association of National Advertisers, nearly half of all American companies are selling online. The American City Business Journal reports that businesses that use the Internet grow 46% faster than those that don’t.

Online advertisers beware; marketing trends in this industry often become outdated faster than you can say ขpopupข. Here are some of the most common outdated online marketing techniques that should be avoided:

Pop Ups Ads Popups ads are like the billboards of the information superhighway—you can’t go anywhere without seeing at least one. The Internet has become so saturated with popups that overall web traffic times are slowing down. Most web users are downloading software that eliminates them from their system, so they are not the best way to reach prospective consumers.

Ecommerce sites Internet stores have become way too abundant, especially when likely 99% of what you’re looking for can be found at Amazon.com, the site that boasts ขEarth’s Biggest Selectionข. Unless your product is so extremely unique that it can’t be purchased elsewhere on the Web, an ecommerce site may just be a waste of time and money.

Reselling Ebooks Ebooks seem like a great idea. However, most of the sites that sell them offer the seller the right to resell the book to others. Therefore, the market has become saturated with books that are often available for free from some sites. And why would someone want to buy an ebook from you that they can get for free elsewhere?

Safelist Advertising Like ebooks, this is theoretically a good idea. Safelists are groups of members who have opted to receive ads from fellow safelist members. This form of marketing loses its effectiveness due to the fact that most members just massdelete their bulk emails without reading them. Everyone wants others to read their ads, yet no one will stop to read other people’s ads.

‘Free For All’ pages FFAs will post your ad in one of seven categories on their page. Like safelist advertising, the idea is that the thousands of others that post ads will see your ad and click to your website. Again though, everyone goes to FFAs to post, and not to access ads. On top of this waste of time and Internet space, your email account will get flooded with massive amounts of spam if you sign up with one of these sites.

Email Etiquette II

Email Etiquette II

by: Kathie M. Thomas

I had great feedback from my last article, and was asked to write further on the subject; hence my title.

This month Iกll share on Email Etiquette in discussion groups. For those who are not yet aware, on the Internet there are hundreds of thousands of discussion groups available in any topic imaginable. The most popular group systems used are YahooGroups.com, Topica.com and SmartGroups.com but there are others. Some web owners set up their own private groups too, via their website.

The idea behind these groups is that someone starts up or moderates a topic and people become members (at no cost) if they are interested. Some of these groups have closed memberships, i.e. you have to be involved in whatever that group is about and outsiders cannot join, whilst other groups are open to all and sundry.

With the whole world being open to membership for these groups cultural differences need to be considered and it is possible to easily upset a member and suddenly you have a heated argument with many others getting involved and the original meaning and context completely shoved aside! Iกve seen this happen in groups and itกs a shame, as it often just takes a little thought and consideration to realise that perhaps the writer didn’t fully understand the language, or hadn’t actually meant what may have sounded rather rude. There have been times when someone has written something I thought was offensive or wrong and rather than emailing back to the list via the group email address, I have chosen to email the writer direct instead. A much better way to handle a misunderstanding.

A good rule when handling/writing email for group discussions read through it first and then check which address it is going to, before clicking กSendก.

The suggestion last month about using signature blocks really applies in this situation how will people know who you are, or where you come from if you only sign off as กKathieก?

Another suggestion trim the message before sending it back to the group. What I mean by this is do not leave all the original discussion and replies at the tail end as this is unnecessary and makes it inconvenient for those who have chosen to receive a daily digest of messages (they keep reading the same things over and over otherwise) and difficult for those who are on limited bandwidth for email. But don’t delete the whole previous message if you are responding to something, or adding to the discussion. There are often multiple discussions going on and it could prove difficult for the reader to understand what you’re saying, and in what context, if the whole previous message is deleted from your response. I have at times read something posted to a group and thought กhuh?ก There is a happy medium here.

Discussion groups give you an opportunity to learn from others and share ideas, but more than that, it allows you to make friends on a global scale, and then the world really does seem to become smaller. And, if you are really knowledgeable in your field, it also helps enforce this to others and before you know it, you become a respected member that others seek to learn from and perhaps be mentored by. What a privilege that can be!

One word of warning belonging to multiple groups can become time consuming and addictive! You could find yourself spending more time reading and responding to messages than getting your work done. So, if you work virtually like I, and my team do, that can become a real danger to your business. As in all things, moderation is the key, and you stand to learn many things and make lots of friends.
