How to Achieve a Perfect Color Scheme

How to Achieve a Perfect Color Scheme

by: Maricon Williams

Your choice of colors reflects you and your business. Color expresses intention, emotion and character. You must be cautious when choosing your color scheme because it will reflect the message you want to convey to the viewers. Wrong choice of the same may spell danger and loss on your part. Color plays a pivotal role in a websiteกs impact, thus, it must be considered warily.

There is a way to have an effective – actually a perfect color scheme. You can use Adobe PhotoShop however, this technique is also compatible with any graphic creation or editing program that has the ability to open an image file. The first step is to find an image. You can search anywhere – especially on the web where you can find visually appealing colors. Do not be bothered by the copyright because you will not be copying any part of it. If you’re perplexed if it is the design or the color that makes it attractive, blur the image in your imagination. If the color remained appealing, use it.

The second step is to save the original image and open it in your image editing application. After that, you open a new document in the same work area. We will call it palette image. From the original image, establish the color that occupies most of the area. Use the eyedropper tool to get that color. Use the paint bucket tool in your palette image to set it as a background color.

With the use of the eyedropper tool, select another color from your original image. Be cautious of the image overall proportion. In your palette image, use the rectangular selection tool to generate an area that has approximately identical proportion to the whole palette image and the source color has to the original image. Use the paint bucket tool to set the new rectangle to the new color. Continue transferring colors in the approximate identical proportions until you already achieved four to five palette image colors aside from the background. If you have an able imaging application, convert the image to web safe colors then save your new color palette. After that, write down the hex codes for your colors. Finally, decide on the relative proportion each Web page element has to the overall page. Next is to assign the corresponding palette image colors to each of them. After these steps, there is still a need for you to tweak your colors a little bit. Nonetheless, you are already saved from the tedious process of trial and error.

When choosing colors for your image choose wisely this is because colors have superior impact on viewers. In addition to the color scheme, the proportion of those colors is also critical to the overall look of your image. Try to master it all and you will never go astray.

The One Simple Trick That Can Double Your Adsense

The One Simple Trick That Can Double Your Adsense Revenue

by: Brad Bahr

Iกve been working with Googleกs Adsense program for a while now. If you’re not already in the program, why not take a look at it now at https://www.google.com/adsense. I really like Adsense. It makes me money and itกs easy to work with. Just some simple copy & paste into your webpage and you’re done. Right?

Wrong! You can do it that way if you want. Who knows? Maybe youกll get lucky and get a lot of clicks. But if you’re really serious about making a lot of money with the program, you’re going to have to tweak it a little.

Iกve invested quite a bit of time experimenting with the program. When I first signed up, I got some clicks and made a tiny bit of money. That wasn’t good enough. I knew there must be a way to get more of my visitors to click on the ads.

Google has a strict policy about not pointing to the ads in any way or asking people to click on them, so there were two things I couldn’t do. What else was there?

Then I remembered reading an article once that discussed the psychological impact of colors on the human mind. I started researching everything I could find on the subject.

After a lot of reading, many tests and periods of watching my clicks go up and down, I found the one color combination that seemed to work the best.

Testing previously done at supermarkets had revealed that the same product could pull more sales from just changing the colors of the label. What were these colors? Red and yellow! The combination of these two colors has an immediate impact on the person who sees them. They make your eyes stop and focus. They pull your eyes right to that part of the page. They grab your attention! Iกm not sure exactly why the combination of red and yellow does this, but it does. On one of my sites, I changed my Adsense ads to a bright red border and a yellow background with black text and URL.

My click through rate more than doubled with just that one simple change. Thatกs what worked on my site. Your siteกs color scheme may work better with a slightly different color combination. Try lots of different color variations. Make a change in the morning and let it ride for the whole day. The next morning, try a different set of colors. Change the border, background, text. Change everything you can. Most importantly, keep detailed records of the color scheme you used, click ratio and revenue generated.

After youกve done all the experimenting you want to, go back to the most profitable one and let it run for a week or so and see how it does. Iกm always trying different colors even after my run of good clicks with red and yellow. There are a lot of color combinations to choose from. You never know when youกll find just the right one.

Web Design Illustration Tips

Web Design Illustration Tips

by: Grannyกs Mettle

Pictures are worth a thousand words. So are illustrations and images on any web page. Your illustrations will either make your visitors stay and read on, or make them decide to skip and click on another web site.

For best results, you could apply the following tips for illustrations in your web pages:

• Use colors from a typical web palette for your illustrations. If you use solid colors for your illustrations, try to stick to the standard 216 colors of the web palette. The colors will have the same look on any type of computers and web browsers. If you want to use color gradients or blends, try it out first on your screen set to only 256 colors. This is to avoid having your colors look very muddied, unattractive, and hard to distinguish. If it doesn’t look good at this resolution, try a different color blend that is not as harsh. Furthermore, the colors in your illustrations should also match those used in other graphics of your web site layout. This includes the masthead, sidebar, buttons, icons, image maps, among others.

• Provide thick lines in your illustrations. Results in the printed image differ from images on your computer screen. Small lines that are visible in your printed image will show up more thinly or not at all on the screen. This is because the monitor has a much lower resolution than ink to a printed page. Remember to make your lines thicker and your illustrations will be seen more clearly by browsers, even to the most minute detail.

• Browsers should be able to download quickly. Speed is important for people who browse the internet. No matter that your illustrations are great and worthy of praise, visitors will definitely leave your site in a snap if they are too big in file size and difficult to download. A big file for an illustration takes a long time to download. Test first your illustrations at a smaller file size, either by reducing the amount of colors or provide them with less space on your screen. If they look good then provide a smaller version. Your visitors will be grateful and stay longer at your site.

• Your illustrations should attract attention. Your illustrations should be able to attract your visitorsก attention and make them want to read and click on to further pages. A very good illustration also adds perspective and character to your words. So make your illustrations speak for your web site.

• Illustrations are there to compliment, not control. Illustrations are made to compliment your web page and not to overpower other elements. They should be able to attract attention but not so much that visitors become distracted from the content. Allow for some breathing space. Provide white spaces in between images. Also, don’t overcrowd your page with too many illustrations. Place them strategically in the whole web site.

• Provide relevant illustrations to the web page content. Your illustrations are worthless if they don’t convey the message you want to send out. In addition to confusing your audience, they also take up too much time to download. They need to compliment your content. One look at your illustrations and the visitors should be able to have an impression of what they are about to read.

• Save illustrations in the proper file format. Save your illustrations in their proper file format, such as .gif and .jpeg. If you used mostly solid colors and lines, save your illustration as GIF files for it to look sharp. On the other hand, save illustrations as JPEG files if you used gradients or blends.

• Provide protection for your illustrations. Copying and downloading of images and illustrations are very common. Hence, it is important for you to protect your illustrations from unauthorized use. You could provide a copyright symbol with the name of your company or organization to your illustrations. If you want additional security, you could also subscribe to a digital watermarking service that allows visitors to see your name as author and copyright holder of the illustration. This kind of service also provides tracking of other sites in the web that displays your illustrations without permission.

ขSuper Adjectivesข Boost the Power of Your Copy

ขSuper Adjectivesข Boost the Power of Your Copy

by: Karon Thackston

Pretty or elegant? Good or scrumptious? Nice or delightful? There is power in the adjectives you choose. Just like Clark Kent and Superman or Bruce Wayne and Batman, some adjectives are plain, ordinary, everyday words. Others are alterego Super Adjectives that leap into your customers’ minds in a single bound. Adjectives are boring, but Super Adjectives impress, inspire, and convince your customers more effectively.

Look at these examples to see what I mean:

Before

Great Top for Hot Summer Days

When it’s hot outside, this top will help keep you cool. Made of cool nylon, you’ll love how it sheds moisture. Available in four pastel colors.

After

Perfect Tank Top for Hot Summer Days

When the temperatures are steamy outside, this tank will help keep you remarkably cool. Made of breathable 100% nylon, you’ll love how it sheds moisture. Available in four springfresh colors.

See the difference? The latter paints a more vivid picture of the tank top than the former.

Try this…

Before

The Prestige Collection is a unique selection of ceiling fans available at Hastings Home Center. The Prestige Collection offers all the quality craftsmanship, and dependable performance, you expect from Hastings along with styles so pretty they take ceiling fans to the next level – and dress your home for any occasion.

After

The Prestige Collection offers all the expert craftsmanship, and whisperquiet performance, you expect from Hastings. In addition, you get styles so stunning they take ceiling fans to the next level – and exceptionally dress your home for any occasion.

What’s the difference? Why are the ขaftersข so much more powerful than the ขbeforesข? Because compelling adjectives were used. Adjectives let the reader know more about the product and develop a connection with it. But boring ordinary adjectives aren’t the answer. You need Super Adjectives to entice your readers. For example, instead of just ขcool nylon,ข we say ขbreathable nylon.ข The colors aren’t just ขpastel colors,ข they are ขspringfreshข colors. When you read that, you begin to envision what the colors look like. They aren’t deep, dark colors. They are delicate shades found during the springtime.

Instead of saying ขa unique selection,ข we said ขa distinctive selection.ข Rather than ขquality craftsmanship,ข it’s ขexpert craftsmanship.ข Not just ขdependable performance,ข but ขwhisperquiet performance.ข

Where do you find these Super Adjectives? They are all over the place! Here’s a short list. You can also visit free sites like http://www.thesaurus.com for more.

Adjectives vs. Super Adjectives

Appealing – attractive, alluring, fascinating

Best – excellent, unsurpassed, paramount

Cool – trendy, fashionable, hip

Different – unusual, exclusive, special

Color Psychology in Marketing

Color Psychology in Marketing

by: Al Martinovic

On the internet we don’t deal with face to face selling. The internet is a visual and psychological medium. The words, or sales copy, on your website have by far the greatest psychological impact on your visitors and thus becomes your most important communication and sales tool.

But another important psychological aspect of your website that is often overlooked are the colors. Yes, thatกs right… I said colors.

Just as you use words to express yourself, colors can be used as an expression as well and are a language all on their own.

The background color of your website, the color of your header, the color of your text, headlines and subheadlines etc. can all have a psychological impact on your visitors.

Here is a list of some of the common colors and what type of psychological emotion they invoke in people:

RED is associated with love, passion, danger, warning, excitement, food, impulse, action, adventure.

BLUE is associated with trustworthiness, success, seriousness, calmness, power, professionalism.

GREEN is associated with money, nature, animals, health, healing, life, harmony.

ORANGE is associated with comfort, creativity, celebration, fun, youth, affordability.

PURPLE is associated with royalty, justice, ambiguity, uncertainty, luxury, fantasy, dreams.

WHITE is associated with innocence, purity, cleanliness, simplicity.

YELLOW is associated with curiosity, playfulness, cheerfulness, amusement.

PINK is associated with softness, sweetness, innocence, youthfulness, tenderness.

BROWN is associated with earth, nature, tribal, primitive, simplicity.

GREY is associated with neutralality, indifference, reserved.

BLACK is associated with seriousness, darkness, mystery, secrecy.

You can use the above as a guide when choosing colors for your website. It really boils down to your target audience and what psychological message you want to convey in colors.

Blues and white backgrounds work best for business sites. Maternity sites should consider some pink. Golf or lawn sites sites should consider green. Food sites should consider red, etc.

There are also numerous shades of the same color that you can use too. Here a link that lists 216 colors that work in all browsers: http://www.geocities.com/webtvbeth/hexchart.html

It also boils down to common sense too. As far as using colors in text, black text on white backgrounds may be dull but it is the most readable and pleasing to the eye.

Yellow text on white background is not only unreadable, but causes eyestrain which will have people leaving your site quickly. Nothing will lose sales faster than eyestraining text.

Hereกs a link for a กcolor wheelก that shows which colors compliment each other, and which ones don’t: http://www.saumag.edu/art/studio/chalkboard/cwheel.html

In conclusion, not only can the sales copy on your website have a psychological impact with words but the colors you use can as well.

Use them wisely…

Color’s Mighty Power of Persuasion

Color’s Mighty Power of Persuasion

by: Maricon Williams

Color is everywhere. It surrounds us. It’s with us every time. It does not only provide crucial visual cues but also influence our feelings and thoughts. It captures our emotions thus can persuade us. However, up to what level can it influence us?

Color exudes character and identity. In fact it has been associated with a lot of things. Blue means male, water, peacefulness and sadness on the other hand, pink means female, weakness and softness. One of the powerful colors is red. It conveys love, passion, heat and fire. The brightest color is yellow. It connotes happiness, caution and slowdown. Even the status of living is associated with colors. Royalty and grandeur is associated with purple. There are still a lot of meanings in colors. Green means money, envy, spring and fertility. Brown means grounded, earth and environmental. Orange conveys warmth, Halloween and fall. Color form part of our daily lives. Our cheeks can be described as ‘red as beet’, our personality ‘green with envy’.

Sir Isaac Newton in the early 1600’s proved that light can create colors. The glass prism that Newton used caused white light to disperse into spectrum of colors. He named it red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. Colors flow in waves of varying length. A beam of light has frequency, wavelength and energy in it. In the spectrum the wavelengths are very narrow which ranges from 400 nm at the end of indigo to about 700 nm at the end of red. Lights that we cannot see like radio waves, microwaves and xrays fall on either end of the visible spectrum of light.

Color is very compelling this is the reason why it is regarded as the most powerful design tool of all. If you have selected the right colors, then expect a strong emotional response from the viewers. In turn, it enhances communication by way of ensuring comprehension. This is because you are relaying the right message. On the contrary, if you choose the wrong colors, it can result to an irreparable mistake which may ruin your business strategy.

To thrive, all you have to do is to master the basics of color theory, userinterface design and its application. The first two can be clearcut guides to create your perfect color. If made the right selection the viewers can easily comprehend what you want to communicate. Picking the right colors is the same way as choosing the right words to communicate. It is your key to achieve SUCCESS!

The Smallest Is The Best!.. As Long As It Serves I

The Smallest Is The Best!.. As Long As It Serves Its Purpose.

by: Decebal Scraba

It is true! In graphics optimization, seen as a part of website optimization, the smallest is the best. Of course, the element in question should still serve its purpose of being the expression of an idea. Furthermore, it should be understandable, clear, suggestive and goodlooking. Letกs see together which could be the right choices (in terms of web graphics optimization) when we decide what type of graphics we’ll use on a website.

What kinds of web graphics are present on the Internet?

When it comes to their origin, there are two types of graphic digital files: vector graphics (created with software tools like Corel DrawTM , FreehandTM etc.) and raster graphics (photographs, 3D renders and any other type of bitmap files). Most of the web sites on the World Wide Web hold as graphic elements bitmaptype graphics in three different formats: GIF (standing for Graphics Interchange Format), JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group) and PNG (Portable Network Graphics). All these 3 types use different compression algoritms to considerably reduce the size of the graphic file. Because PNG is not so popular, I hope that you will forgive me if I stick to GIF and JEG in my article. Probably you already know a lot about these (or you can browse the web and find plenty of information) so I’ll get directly to the choices we must make when it comes to design our web site.

How many colors should we use for our web graphics?

What type of bitmap files will hold our web graphics?

Some specialists say that we should always go with JPEG, because it supports 16 milion colors and produces quite small files. Well, this is not entirely true, I think. I can only tell you for sure that we don’t have to go with the same type all over our website. How’s that? Let’s see!

When should we go with GIF?

for graphics with fewer colors: web logos, cartoonlike drawings and lineart (pure black and white) drawings; whenever it is OK to use for our graphics the 256 colors pallette (or even the 216 “safe” colors pallette)

for grayscale pictures with less halftones (with big contrast)

for graphics with smaller screen size (even if with many colors) which rely on details; GIF format compression is lossless and keeps sharp contours and clear definition between areas filled with different colors;

when we need the “Transparency” option of GIF Format, e.g. when a graphic should have a nonrectangular shape and/or we want to discard its background

whenever an image saved in GIF format is smaller than one saved as JPEG, both images being at a comparable level of quality when displayed

generally, for vectorgenerated graphics (unless they have blending and/or gradient fills)

When to use JPEG format?

for color images with 16 milion colors and many halftones (photographs, 3D render output files, any other images with continuoustones)

for grayscale images which rely on subtle halftones

for graphics/images with big screen size where colors and shades are more important than contours, outlines and boundaries

whenever an image saved in JPEG format is smaller than one saved as GIF, both images being at a comparable level of quality when displayed

generally, for photographs and similar images

Which are the inconveniences of each format?

From my point of view, these are the main limitations for GIF and for JPEG formats:

For GIF: limited number of colors (it can show 16 milion colors, but only in dithered mode, which I do not recommend)

For JPEG: compression is done by reducing quality of the graphics (loss of sharpness, “hair filaments”, “pixelate” areas etc.)

Whatever format you choose, when it comes to graphics optimization as a part of website optimization, the SMALLEST is the BEST! Beside the format choice, keep in mind some tips when you create and optimize your web graphics:

Minimize the screen size of your graphics to the point where it is still clear and suggestive.

Try and try again saving a graphic in one of the two formats, at different quality levels (for JPEG) and different number of colors (for GIF). Do this until you find the best size / quality ratio that fits your needs.

Use vector graphics software and limit the number of colors when you create the nonphotographic graphics for your website.

Put emphasis on shape, contour, silhouette and contrast when creating / processing your graphics.

Choose carefully the resizing method in your image processor when you change the size / resolution of your graphics “antialias” is not always the best choice.

I hope that this article will help you in your work and always keep in mind that, when it comes to graphics optimization and website optimization, the smallest is the best as long as it serves its purpose.

Tradeshow Booth Cures Living Color

Tradeshow Booth Cures Living Color

by: Patty Stripes

Feng Shui is the Ancient Chinese practice of configuring home or work environments to promote health, happiness, and prosperity. By utilizing elements such as light and color, Feng Shui Masters used their skill to promote the flow of กchiก, or vital energy , to protect and enhance the prosperity of the Imperial Dynasties. Widely practiced today, Feng Shui theory focuses on methods to manage the flow of energy and with skillful application, can effectively lead people into your booth.

Johnny Cash had his allblack attire, Christo had the saffrondraped กgatesก in Central Park. Were they embracing Feng Shui color principles? Perhaps not consciously, but both men instinctively knew the incredible impact that color has on our mood and our perceptions. Retailers and marketing professionals embrace color as one of their most effective tools. Psychologists have suggested that color impression can account for 60% of the acceptance or rejection of a product or service. Clearly, color is an important กweaponก in the Feng Shui arsenal. Master this key element of Feng Shui theory, and youกll have people flooding into your booth.

Color can both soothe and stimulate and the two reactions are not mutually exclusive. Itกs possible to excite your customer mentally while keeping him still enough physically to listen to you! A high energy presentation can be an effective tool, but itกs not to your benefit if your customer is too jazzed to pay attention to your sales pitch. Balance plays a big part in any Feng Shui application, and this is especially true when it comes to color.

Strong yang (masculine energy) colors such as red, orange, yellow or gold can be used to stimulate energy. Bright, rich color both pleases our eyes and excites our brains while yin (feminine energy) colors like green and blue promote a feeling of wellbeing. A combination of yin and yang hues is the most desirable but limit your predominant colors to three or less. Signage is an effective way of combining the two try using light, yincolored letters on a dark, yangcolored background. The contrast will make the lettering appear larger and viewers will find it easier to read.

If you are attempting to breathe new life into an existing trade show booth, nothing yields more bang for the buck than a fresh coat of paint. Even if you opt to stick with the same color scheme, a fresh coat without marks or nicks is more reflective and conducive to energy flow. If you do decide to go with a new color scheme, make sure it enhances the mood you want to set. Use red and yellow to evoke excitement and optimism and black to convey authority. Green and blue, colors found in nature are soothing and serene.

Careful consideration of color theory will go a long way towards conveying your message, even if (God forbid!) no one is in your booth. Combine this with the lighting strategies discussed in our other article and youกll be well on your way to a successful show. But there are still a few tricks up the ancient mastersก sleeves and the next article in our series will demystify them.

Know The Color Basics

Know The Color Basics

by: Blur Loterina

Do your print ads or web pages seem so flat that no one ever bothers looking at it? How would you like to make them more unique and attractive?

The key to a striking visual ad is the color. It gives life to any image. Take for example the cartoons that we watch on television and how they attract kids. We may also wonder why fast food and restaurants use the same color for their business or why banana catsup is colored red and not yellow.

Every color has its own characteristics. They represent different mood, personality or impression. In other words, colors influence people.

In deciding what color to use, you must first know the nature of your business. You cannot use just one color, or else your ad will look so plain and boring. However, using different colors can mess up your image or it may create a different impression to the viewers. Balance is important.

There are three basic color models used in graphics design, CMYK, RGB and Pantone.

In making printed images, it is best to use the CMYK color model. CMYK stands for cyan, magenta, yellow and black. It is referred to as the fourcolor process. This color model is commonly used in the printing process to produce fullcolor photographs and images. The advantage of using this model is that it reduces the cost of printing. When CMYK are combined, they produce the greatest number of printable colors. It is not advisable for use in singlecolor printing, though. Also, this model does not produce spot inks, such as metallic silver or gold.

Use the RGB (red, green and blue) color model in creating your web page images. All display devices, such as computer monitor or television, use this type of color mode. There are no cost limitations in the use of color for unprinted ad such as the web page. So you can use as much color as you want without fear of spending a lot of money on colors. In addition, current computer programs now offer a wide variety of colors.

Pantone colors are best suited for logos and corporate identity because it creates exact color match. This color model specifies consistency. If you want your printed company brochure to look exactly the same as how it appears on the computer, use pantone colors. The only drawback is that you will have to look for the right printer and paper. Glossy or coated paper tends to slightly alter the color. The difference between printed images on a glossy paper and a plain paper is very visible.

There’s a rule in color psychology that we must apply in designing print ads or web page. Use colors that will best describe the nature of your business. More importantly, your ad image must speak exactly what you want to tell the viewers.

I think it would be helpful if I said I’m a big fan of Zach de la Rocha and Rage Against the Machine. This would explain my own views about a lot of things. Their songs were about national issues, politics and human rights. They support the American Indian Movement and Che Guevara, the face you see on tshirts. Not that it concerns me. I only like their music and idealism.

I’m not an artist, I’m not a poet. I just love writing anything I want. I wasn’t born a genius, I just want to know and understand something I don’t. I like to find the difference between similar things. It’s like counting birthmarks on each identical twin.

Graphic Designs Standards

Graphic Designs Standards

by: Blur Loterina

Do you find it hard to create your own graphic design? Before you can come up with a good graphic design you must first understand the basic principles in creating the design, as well as the factors it must contain.

Design is defined as a plan or pattern formed for the purpose of making or doing something. It explains how things are done or how to come up with something.

A design must have a purpose, or else it will be useless. It must contain enough information. You can use visual languages, such as chart, table or graph, for it to become more understandable. It should also explain the details. Start from the general idea, then, give the specific details. Make sure that each detail is related to the main idea.

There are many types of design, such as a graphic design. A graphic design results from the features of lines, colors, shape, materials or texture.

What makes a graphic design attractive and lively is the color. Here, you can apply the color theory. Every color has its own characteristics, such as visible spectrum, dimension, inherent and emotive qualities. The primary colors are the red, blue and green. If you mix these colors, new hues are created. You can either have lighter or darker colors or contrasting colors. Take the white color for example—it is the opposite of black. Any color can appear lighter or darker depending on the field it is on. For example, when you put pink beside green, pink is the lighter color. But when you put pink beside white, pink will look darker.

Your graphic design should contain design elements, including line, shape, texture and size. A line is a curved or straight mark that connects two points. Shape is a form that has height and width. The three basic primitive shapes are rectangle, circle and triangle. Texture is measured by the look and feel. It is basically the roughness or smoothness of the surface. Space refers to the area or distance between or around things. The size refers to how large or small the thing is.

The principle of composition and layout includes the emphasis of the elements, the balance or the equal distribution of weight, the pattern or rhythm, and the unity or the relationship between each element.

Decide on what perspective to use. There are four basic perspectives; the one point perspective, the twopoint perspective, the three point perspective, and the 3d illusion.

For the text, consider the type of font and the style you have to use. There must be consistency in the height and width of the letters.

Be more creative, make use of the theories. Follow the rules in designing. You will know that a design is effective if you have successfully communicated your idea to your target audience.

You may wonder why I write articles. Besides from the fact that it’s my job, I used to write short stories when I was younger.

I like to read anything that contains words in the old English form, though I can’t understand it. You know, the King James Version of the Bible with words like thou, thy, thine, wilst, etc. The words used are different. The construction of the sentence is different, too, which makes sentences sound artistic. I also like gothic metal, a music genre, because most of the lyrics contain such words. It is not only the words that fascinate me; it’s the hidden meaning it contains. It’s like an abstract painting; you don’t get the real picture until you see through it.

I’m not an artist, I’m not a poet. I just love writing anything I want. I wasn’t born a genius, I just want to know and understand something I don’t. I like to find the difference between similar things. It’s like counting birthmarks on each identical twin.

Perfect Color Combinations (Is it really important

Perfect Color Combinations (Is it really important in designs?)

by: Nash Ville

Color communicates so effectively so, it’s truly important to make sure that it says the right thing.

Choosing the colors that blend well together and draw the attention to your design is truly important. Doing so is like picking out the clothes that you’ll wear on special occasions and other significant events. If the overall colors clash and are too distracting, your design will definitely become not compelling but annoying instead. It’s actually all about finding the right color combinations!

With the various ways to come up with good designs these days, color combination has opened up to new levels. I know that you’re aware of the fact that mixing odd colors is very much okay but you always have to make sure that it’s actually done in just the right touch. If you’ll mix safe colors only in your design, it may sometimes end up looking ordinary too fast. Combining bright colors, on the other hand, must not appear like they’re competing with each other because it’ll just finish up looking too busy and very disturbing.

When you consider using bright colors in your designs, try to limit it to only one dominating bright color. Then, keep the rest of your color scheme in a more neutral one. When you have a bright layout design, you must select a more conservative shade for your text so that the text will not compete with the design. With this, the text will surely look very pleasant. There are times when you might want to inspire ขshock and aweข in your audience. In such cases, colors that never look good together and seem uncomfortable with each other can be the perfect bet for your designs. But when it comes to unique ideas and complex interactions, the right color combinations are truly valuable weapons to be used in your designs.

Generally, you have to make sure that the color combinations for your designs fit the intended content and the expectations of the viewers. You must also think carefully about why you’re using a given color or selection of colors and to whom that color is being delivered. Never use colors that don’t add to or support the information being presented. Always keep in mind that how you combine colors has a significant impact on how it will be received by your audiences. Try to be consistent throughout the design with your color combination choices. Without forethought, your designs might only weaken the message you want to convey or worse, make it ineffective altogether.

Truly, choosing the right color combinations for your designs can get overwhelming fast!

Graphic Designs Standards

Graphic Designs Standards
