Do You Have The Courage To Ignore The Experts?

Do you have the courage to ignore the experts? Do you have the willingness and ability to understand and use the power that is within you? Courage is that state of mind when you do something that you know is right for you and your loved ones and the rest of the world thinks you’re mad. The ability to make the decision and then make it happen. Courage is not progressing through life with gay abandon, ignoring all the fears. Quite the contrary. Courage is an understanding of fear. An understanding of what to fear and what not to fear. Courage is the ability to challenge what is deemed to be common sense.

The world will constantly knock the courageous because they want mediocrity. They want mediocre players and people. People who don’t rock the boat. People who do what they are told. People who willingly stay within the rules even though they know they are causing harm to others.

Pause for a moment. Just think . Does it take courage to make the latest technology go faster, make it bigger, more complex than the last edition? Does it take courage to add to what already exists? For us, courage is shown by those who fight for something new. Follow their dream and see the benefit of going in the opposite direction.

The question is do you have the courage to do what you want? To touch your potential. Do you have the courage to speak out for what you believe in? Do you have the courage to go for it? Remember when you were a child. Were you curious? Were you a risk taker then? No doubt you had lots of courage when you were a child. You did many things based on a focus and no evidence. As a child no doubt you trusted the processes of life. So what’s different now?

If you are now feeling a huge resistance to going forward to naming your aim and objective, to realising your potential. Don’t worry it’s normal. The resistance is a normal way of moving forward. It’s your natural brake that is saying hang on a minute lets have another look at this. Every time you meet resistance within yourself or others it means you are growing because only as you start to think and state something outside your box do you encounter opposition. So don’t be discouraged and write yourself off. Stay with it.

You see, the feeling of fear and not following your beliefs was no doubt planted in your childhood. The time when you were told that you ought to value money. That you ought to save. You need to be careful, you need to have heroes and follow others. Perhaps instead we should have been taught to respect money but to be generous with it rather than be thrifty. Perhaps we should have been taught to go for our dreams rather than settle for security. As Andrea Dworkin, the feminist and civil rights activist, stated in one of her speeches:

By the time we are women, fear is as familiar to us as air. It is our element. We live in it, we inhale it, we exhale it, and most of the time we do not even notice it.

We think it applies to men as well as women. Well at least Graham says it applies to him. Every time he thinks of stepping out of his box, fear is present.

So there isn’t a fearless state. We just have to accept it and carry on. What is that phrase? ขFeel the fear and do it anywayข. Start by looking at your aim and objective. What is your aim? Do you have one? Is it a general I want to earn $50,000 a year or is it more focussed on an activity. For example, I want to tap into, understand and use the power that is within me. I want to assist others to do the same. All you need is an aim and the willingness, the courage to make effort to implement it.

Once you have your aim the hard work really starts. Now it’s time to practice, practice, practice. To read all you can around your subject. To buy all the books that will help you. Go on courses that will help. Meet successful people in the sphere of your chosen aim. Pick everyone’s brain. Whatever needs to be done to reach your aim.

Don’t worry about your capabilities they will come. If you have chosen the aim from your heart, from your subconscious then the capabilities will follow. How do you know your aim is chosen from your subconscious? Because you have no doubts about it. It feels comfortable. More than that it makes you get up in the morning.

As they say, the journey begins with a first step. Now; do you have the courage to take it? Do you have the courage to ignore the experts and do what you really want to do in the world?

The 3 C’s of Getting Your Foot in the Door of a Prospect

Are you frustrated with cold calling because of all the rejection, phones slammed in your ear and being told to never call again? Wondering how some sales professionals seem to always be at the right place, at the right time? Feeling like you just can’t seem to get your foot in the door of any new prospects? You’re not alone. These seem to be universal concerns for many sales professionals.

Getting your foot in the door of a prospect often reaches beyond what most have been taught in sales training seminars and books. It is a state of mind, emotion and action.

As you think of prospects you want to meet and connect with consider the following…getting your foot in the door takes courage, creativity and consistency.

Courage – It has been said that courage is not the absence of fear. It is the ability to identify one’s fear and walk through it anyway. Where does the fear come from when you try to get your foot in the door? Perhaps it is fear of rejection. Maybe it is fear the client is too busy. Perhaps one fears the client won’t want or need the product or service that is being offered.

A powerful way to overcome fear is to take action. The action can be to gain a greater understanding of the client’s needs and situation. Perhaps you need to know more about your product or service. Maybe it is simply to pick up the phone and make the call. It is in the willingness to take action the fear will lift.

Creativity – Many people read a book on the ขskillsข of cold calling and selling. Do Step A and you get Result B. Fact is, there will be times getting your foot in the door is about trusting your creativity.

How often have you gotten an intuitive thought or a feeling to try something different? And how often does reason take over intuition? Some of the most successful sales professionals trust their intuition and inner knowing to lead them to step through the door of the unknown.

It is in the willingness to explore unique methods for approaching any given situation the magic of selling will occur. The next time you ขget that feelingข be willing to explore the creativity of your idea and watch the magic happen.

Consistency – Success is often not the result of big actions, but rather one tiny action at a time. It is in the consistency of our actions on a daily basis; making the call, following up on a regular basis, inputting the names into the database, and having a system that allows us to free our minds of unnecessary concern and clutter. When the mind is clear, there is more opportunity to be creative and walk in a place of courage. This allows for truly serving the needs of your customers and clients.

Selling is not about closing the deal. It is about the desire to serve others through the products and services we provide. Serve well.

Do You Know What It Takes To Win In Your Business

Hi All,

I do hope this message finds you all well I have a few quick and simple philosophies I want to share with you all today and i do hope you remember them and use them in your everyday lives.

So often i see people miserably complain about their day Jobs or particular life chores, they cant seem to see any light at the end of the tunnel and just rock along each and everyday doing the same boring depressing activities that originally caused them to be depressed and bored in the first place its almost like they have excepted in their brain that this is just the way life is for everybody and in turn is the same for them, I think you know what i mean here and i also know for a fact that all of you including myself have experienced this feeling and to somewhat still do from time to time.

But what the masses of people don’t realise is that all this can be completely transformed and changed around to a positive so that you don’t feel bored and depressed and sick to the teeth with the hateful partner next to at your JOB that puts you in a bad mood and depresses you by infecting you with his negative cynical comments and behaviours.

REMEMBER JUST AS EXCITEMENT IS CONTAGIOUS SO IS NEGATIVITY

I once heard a great saying and it went like this FOR THINGS TO CHANGE FOR YOU YOU MUST CHANGE; don’t expect the government to change or your boss to get more generous Because you could have a very long wait 🙂

Don’t expect an apple tree to produce pears it will never happen

I think you may be smiling by now and i hope you also see where I am going people, if you want to make a change in your life today you have got to understand that its up to you nobody has ever knocked on my door with a business opportunity or offered to pay my bills and id safely bet no one has ever knocked on your door and offered you these options either.

If you need to make a change you must step up to the plate for you and yours and dig down deep into your gut and find that courage that’s essential for change in your life because understand it takes courage sometimes great courage to make a change in ones life so don’t be put of by the knockers and naysayer and ignore the critics even if they are family members because the critics often spend more time talking about themselves than they do about what’s been criticised, I know in my heart and soul that you have what it takes inside you to live a more fulfilled life all you got to do is want it bad enough
