Electrify Your Marketing Using Positive Energy

Electrify Your Marketing Using Positive Energy

by: Hirini Reedy

Many internet entrepreneurs need to often stop and reflect on their results. A bit like an engineer checking your energy circuits. Finding where the most flow and resistance occurs. Replenishing your batteries so that you have more energy to input into your internet marketing. So take some time now to rest and ask the question, กwhat is my energy level right now?ก If your eyes, neck and brain ache then it is time to replenish your batteries. Get up, walk and stretch your body. Yet what if you are feeling disillusioned? Spending long hours on the internet but still lacking results. You write great salescopy but still no sales. You need to look at the energy vibrations you are subconsciously sending out.

Here are some ways to input more energy into your internet marketing efforts.

1. Get Rid Of The Mosquito Mind

The mosquito mind is the annoying negative mindset that we all have. It whines and bites when we are uncertain, scared and frustrated. Being bitten once by a mosquito is OK. Same with a negative thought. Yet being bitten all night by a mosquito makes you grumpy and tired. Same with continual negative thinking. It drains you and makes you grumpy. So it is time to swat that annoying mosquito and rub on repellent. So when you feel a negative thought start to bite, just give your forehead a good slap. It will help get rid of the whining negative thought.

2. Reverse The Energy Polarity.

We can transform negative actions by reversing their polarity. Find their positive equivalents. Everything in nature has a negative and positive polarity that creates both balance and flow. Find the positive equivalents in your life negatives. Here is an example based around two work negatives relating to a struggling internet entrepreneur.

Negative1:

My desk is a mess and I cannot find important documents. I stress out.

Positive Reversal

My work space is organised with a good filing system that I enjoy using.

Negative2:

Worried about paying bills, always struggling to keep ahead.

Positive Reversal.

My bills are easily paid on time. I enjoy peace of mind.

By adding these positives together, we start to create a positive energy flow around workspace and money. For example, Positive1 + Positive2 = กa organised workspace with a good filing system I enjoy using. My bills are easily paid on time. I enjoy peace of mindก. This looks more exciting then focusing on the negative equivalents. This positive statement forms part of your new desired outcome. It adds voltage to your energy levels.

3. Programme Your Subconscious With Positive Outcomes.

Get very clear on your desired outcome first. Describe it. Picture it. Fill in the details. Then instruct your subconscious mind to find ways to manifest this desired outcome. For example: กMy desired outcome is to have an organised workspace with a good filing system I enjoy. My bills are easily paid on time and I enjoy peace of mind. Subconscious mind, find me ways to fulfil this desire. Thank youก. Then just carry on with the rest of your day. Your mind will start to work behind the scenes to fulfil your order.

So start making a list of all your negatives. Find their positive equivalents. Then start to create business changes based around these positives. Become the change you desire.

Are You Marketing to Your Potential?

Are You Marketing to Your Potential?

by: Charlie Cook

Many small business owners struggle to grow their businesses only to find themselves stuck in a morass of marketing, management and delivery tasks. As your business becomes more complex and time consuming, the original vision of the business usually changes or gets lost, and it can become increasingly difficult to define and implement a marketing strategy that helps you achieve your business potential.

As a marketing coach I have many small business clients whose marketing is going nowhere because they haven’t clearly identified where they want to take their business/what they want their business to be/ and what role they want to play in it.

Whether you want to take your business to the next level or are just starting out, to be more successful at marketing you need to regularly clarify what you want your business to be and what your role in it is or should be. In order to develop a marketing strategy and plan that works for you, you need to first clarify:

What are your business passions and strengths

How do you want to spend your time

What work tasks you enjoy

What type of business you want to create

DEFINE YOUR BUSINESS PASSIONS AND STRENGTHS

The energy, determination and persistence it takes to build a business only makes sense if you are doing something you love or that at least gives you great satisfaction. What do you enjoy doing the most? What are you happy doing day in and day out?

What are your Strengths?

Identify your business passion, and then examine your strengths within that passion. How can you leverage your interest and knowledge to become a sought after expert in your field?

Say you love skiing and want to make a living in that industry, which you know well. Are you going to run a ski shop, be a ski instructor, or become a skiing guru, sought after by thousands, with your simple and innovate teaching techniques?

Which aspects of your passion suit your expertise and experience? How can you build a business around them?

SET GOALS FOR HOW YOU WANT TO SPEND YOUR TIME

Personality and interests vary. Some small business owners have a passion for hands on delivery, others enjoy focusing on growing their business and coordinating the delivery of products and services.

Some can’t stand being stuck in an office all day; others would prefer never to talk to a client or customer. What aspects of your business are you good at and which do you want to develop further?

Use the following questions to help you clarify how you want to spend your week.

Do you like being in charge of marketing, operations or service delivery?

Are you an educator, do you love sharing what you know or do you like inventing new products people can use without your involvement? Or both?

Do you prefer managing the business and delegating daily tasks to others?

Do you like to travel or prefer to work from an office or at home?

How important is flexibility in scheduling and work location?

Do you want to work less and earn the same?

Do you want to work part time or do you love your work so much that you could do it seven days a week?

Do you want to structure your work so it is more satisfying?

CLARIFY THE TASKS YOU ENJOY

We all like and dislike specific activities, excel at some and are better off delegating certain tasks to others. Clarifying what you like and dislike is essential to then defining the strategies and structures you need to create a more satisfying work environment.

Do you enjoy coming up with new products?

Do you enjoy selling your services and products?

Do you like to write or prefer public speaking?

Or both?

Is the phone your communication tool of preference?

Do you prefer to use email for most of your communication?

Do you enjoy public speaking and sharing your ideas?

Do you enjoy following up with employees to make sure theyกve done agreed on tasks?

SPECIFY THE TYPE OF BUSINESS YOU WANT TO CREATE

What have the answers to the questions above told you about your business and your role in it? Depending on the services and products you provide, does your business need additional staff, facilities, technology, geographic presence, or capital?

Would you prefer to be a successful one person business/sole proprietor? Would you like to grow your business to include five to fifty employees? Will profit or passion be the driving force? Or both? Are your markets local, regional, national or international?

Answer these questions to define your business goals and your role in your businessก growth. Once you have a clear and current idea of where you are going, you can define a marketing strategy to get there, to achieve your business potential.

New Yearกs Revolution

New Yearกs Revolution

by: C.J. Hayden

No, thatกs not a typo in the title. Resolutions are easy; most of us make them at least once a year. A revolution, on the other hand, is something you may not have made since you started your business.

Starting a business is actually quite revolutionary. When you began yours, there were probably many details of your life that changed. Some of those changes were intentional, others accidental; some you liked, some you didn’t. Other changes you always meant to make just never happened.

Is your business everything you meant it to be? Is it giving you all that you wanted? Are you satisfied, even delighted with the way your life as a business owner is turning out? If not, perhaps itกs time to make a revolution. Here are some revolutionary ideas you might consider:

1. Serve only those clients you care about and enjoy being with. When you work with people you don’t enjoy, everything becomes a struggle. Your clients are a key part of your business. You wouldn’t hire someone you didn’t enjoy working with, so why let them hire you?

Begin today to let go of clients you find difficult to work with, and start seeking out those you really had in mind when you started this business. Have the courage to refuse new clients that don’t fit your picture of who you most want your business to serve.

2. Make a plan to reach your income goals. Unless you are independently wealthy, your business not only needs to support you, it needs to provide for your future. Setting goals for your desired income level is a good first step, but to reach those goals, you need a plan.

Create a financial model for your business. How many clients, appointments, billable hours, or contracts will it take to generate the income you want? How much of your time will be required to do that amount of work and do the marketing required to get it? How much money will it cost you in overhead, marketing costs, and admin help? Does the model work?

3. Take enough time for yourself and those you love. The number one reason entrepreneurs name for going into business is time more to spend with their families, more flexibility in work hours, or simply more control over how their time is spent. But how many of us actually get this?

Most entrepreneurs spend either too much time struggling to get clients and earning too little money, or become victims of their own success, working too many hours to fulfill clientsก demands. You can overcome these problems by combining the financial modelling described above with the approach to marketing outlined below. And don’t forget, if you earn enough, you can hire all the help you need.

4. Do more of the work you like doing and less of what you don’t. If you’re not enjoying the work you do, thereกs no one to blame but yourself. After all, you’re the OWNER of this enterprise. If you can do different work in the same business, start now to make the shift. Loyal customers will follow you if you’re still offering services they need.

If more rewarding work would require a new business, join the ranks of the serial entrepreneurs. You started and ran one business, why not another? Life is much too short to do work you don’t enjoy, and it doesn’t make much sense if you’re working for yourself!

5. Build a marketing system that really works. The definition of a system is a selection of related components arranged in a specific order to achieve a common end. Does this describe your marketing? Or is it more like a hodgepodge of random elements jumbled together without a clear goal?

If you want better clients, more money, more time for yourself, and more enjoyable work, an effective marketing system may be the universal solution. Don’t know how to build one? Make this the year you learn. Already know how but haven’t built it? Get support from a colleague, mentor, coach, or group to make it happen. Have a system but aren’t using it? Pull your plan out of the drawer and recommit to doing what it takes to have the business you always dreamed of.

Turn Any Hobby Into A PartTime Business

Turn Any Hobby Into A PartTime Business

by: Kevin Purfield

If you are planning on beginning a business, your best bet is to start out parttime while you are still earning a fulltime income at your present job.
If you are like most people who are existing from payday to payday, you don’t have a lot of money to invest in a fulltime business. No need to worry! Just use your favorite hobby as your business base and grow from there!
Thereกs no telling where youกll be at 2 or 3 years down the road. Perhaps you can even tell your present boss to ‘take that job and shove it.ก Wouldn’t that be great?
Using your present hobby or favorite pastime as your business base has many benefits. Why? Because ANY business you decide to become involved in should be doing something you LOVE, something you believe in, something that you would work at NO MATTER what income it would generate.
This will give you the stamina to see your business through the beginning hard times and times when there is more work to do than you can handle. We all know the feeling of doing a job that we hate to do.
With jobs we dislike there is no way we can give it 110% of our abilities because we procrastinate getting through it and just want to get it over with. Thatกs why it is vitally important to dearly love the product or service you have chosen to build your business around.
Do you like cooking? Start a recipe newsletter for others who like the same thing and sell your recipes by publishing a simple booklet. Do you enjoy making crafts? Sell them online. (be sure and mark up the price for shipping and handling).
Do you enjoy writing? Write a small booklet or howto manual and sell it as an ebook. Do you enjoy computer programming? Write a program and sell through shareware groups or even thru your own affiliate program.
Just about anything you love doing can be magically transformed into a business opportunity for you. Start educating yourself by reading and researching other homebased businesses.
Businesses that claim to put you in business overnight should never demand a large amount of money from you. On the contrary, legitimate businesses have nothing to hide and should invite you to learn the กwholeก story behind their claims.
Another good move on your part is to invest a little time in online business forums. Many are free, and the valuable information you obtain from actual people who are in business is something that will be extremely valuable to your education.
Yes itกs that easy! Of course, this is only the beginning. As with any hobby, it will take time to realize a profit but think of it this way: Most people that have a hobby know they have to spend money to take part in their hobby. It only makes sense to invest money in advertising your hobby to others so you can eventually make some of that money back in sales for your own business!

Fuel For Your Business Success

Fuel For Your Business Success

by: Arun Pal Singh

May I ask a question if you do not mind…?

What does your business mean to you? Please choose an honest answer.

Making a living.

Freedom from job

Realization of your dreams.

All of the above

I hope you chose the right option.

Everyday million of people get up and think ‘Oh no! I have to go to office again.’ It is something they dread. Whether they realize this or not is a different issue. Have you noticed how excited people are over their weekends as they will be off the work and can enjoy.

That reflects they do not enjoy what they do. But they continue with that. Yes, they have sufficient reasons mortgage, seniority, children and security to name a few. There is another good reason worth mentioning – lack of willingness and lack of initiative to start their own venture.

A lot of people dream about working for themselves. Dreaming is easy. It costs nothing.

But that is end for many. Moving beyond that involves risk. Their security is too precious.

Nevertheless with advent of internet, home business things have been made simpler and easier.

You do not need to leave your present job and still can start a home business that you can manage in your part time. Initial struggle period is buffered by your job. You can manage your investment capital better and there is job to fall back upon.

Things could not be simpler. Nice paradigm. A surge in home businessmen and businesswomen proves this.

But then people still fail in their ventures. There could not be better time. There could not be a better platform. But people still do not capitalize the opportunity to its full extent. What could be the reason?

No. Please do not say that internet saturation has occurred. The net is not to be blamed. Internet is wonderful medium of communication. It has made millions pursue and achieve their dreams. It is not saturated. Not yet and not for a long time in near future.

On the contrary it expands day by day.

It may appear a bit complex owing to its virtual entity but it is not saturated.

But internet is only a medium. It does not run business for you. It makes it automated and easier once you understand what is what. Still the person who does the business is responsible for outcome.

So what sets a successful businessman apart from an unsuccessful one hypothesizing that both have equal knowledge?

Motivation!

Zeal!

Passion!

I know an entrepreneur who would get up early and work till his eyes would droop with sleep again, socialized minimally and never cared about what he ate.

‘Why don’t you ever take a break and enjoy sometimes?’ Many including me asked.

‘I enjoy my work. Why should I take a break?’ He would always respond.

That man is millionaire now. Still works like crazy.

Though that state is an extreme for most of us but that does leave a lesson. To be a success one needs to work with passion.

When you bring passion to your business (Of course for that you need to like what you do). it reflects everywhere. It reflects in your website. It reflects in your sales letter, you promotions. You come across a genuine person. Your words start delivering the better message. Your results start improving and success prepones its appointment with you.

There could not be better key to success in home business. It is easier to admire a successful person’s working. But when we want the same success, the input has to be of similar nature.

Let me come back to my original question.

What was your response?

The Effects of eBay on American Merchandising

The Effects of eBay on American Merchandising

by: David Espino

With one brilliantly simple idea, eBay was born just a few short years ago.

From its humble beginnings in the Collectibles business, it went on to achieve the lofty heights it enjoys today.

As eBay has continued to grow to over 30 million registered users, it has transformed the ability of individuals (as well as Corporations) to move product of all kinds.

eBay is now a place where virtually any item imaginable is available, for the right price.

With a few clicks of your mouse, the doors to the world marketplace are opened for you.

Similarly, with a few clicks of your mouse, the entire world can be viewing your merchandise for sale.

It is this awesome power that eBay gives to you, for a small fee.

Is it any wonder that large institutional sellers, such as the U.S. Postal Service, J.C. Penneys, various Police Departments and all types of Corporations have discovered the power and efficiencies of selling on eBay?

The drawback for the smaller seller is that, as more and more individual and institutional sellers sign on to sell on eBay, the supply of similar items will increase.

This increase in supply results in a decrease in demand, and with that decreased demand, lower ending bid amounts and lower profits for all sellers.

This has already begun to happen in some categories as ending bids continue their slow trend downward.

As sellers begin to see profits eroding due to too many sellers กplaying the gameก, the question of the day seems to be, กWhat is the best thing to sell on eBay?ก

The simple (and somewhat facetioussounding) answer is, กWhatever people are interested in that is not currently selling on eBay in mass quantitiesก.

More often than not, success on eBay results from a seller taking on a niche that they are familiar with and enjoy. Many of the top eBay sellers have built their entire business around a niche that they enjoy, such as a certain type of collectible, or a certain hobby, interest or sport.

If you take this approach, not only will you be happier doing that which you enjoy, but listing items will not become a กchoreก, it will be an enjoyable experience.

As eBay continues it’s trendline of massive growth, sellers must be increasingly aware of three things that will ensure opportunities for growth and success:

Opportunities for new products to sell

Alternative venues in which to sell their products

Advanced marketing techniques that can leverage their time and money

Ultimately, it is this extra awareness that will determine who the winners are in the game of Online Auction sales.
