How to Get Your Web Site Ranked High in Search Eng

How to Get Your Web Site Ranked High in Search Engines with Free Link Exchanges

by: Barry Stein

Free link exchanges got my web site to the first page of Google and free link exchanges can do the same for your web site.

A couple of weeks ago one of my web sites, http://www.BarrysBeanies, was ranked number 33 on Google for one of my most important keyword phrases กBeanie Babies.ก

I was determined to get my web site on the first page on Google searches for the keyword phrase กBeanie Babies.ก

There are basically two options to get a high rank on Google for your web site keyword phrases.

Option #1

Do free link exchanges with other web sites that have the same theme as your web site. You can target any keyword phrase you want to improve your rank with. It is very important that you make the title text link you exchange with other web sites the exact keyword phrase you want to target.

What I also like about the free link exchanges is that you can target one web page for many different keyword phrases. So once you get the rank you want for one keyword phrase then you choose another keyword phrase to target and use this new keyword phrase in the title text link that you now exchange with other web sites.

It is also important to try and do all your free link exchanges with web sites that have a high Google Page Rank (PR). Go for link exchanges with sites with a PR3 or higher. Web sites with a higher Page Rank are viewed by Google as being more important and links to your web site from these high PR sites will help you more than doing link exchanges with a site with a PR1 or PR2.

You can download the free Google Toolbar at http://toolbar.google.com/, which will display all the Page Ranks of the web pages you visit.

Also, if you go into the Google directory, http://directory.google.com/, and locate the category of the sites you want to do your free link exchanges with, the web sites will be listed with the highest Page Ranks at the top. Most of the sites near the top of the list will be PR5 or PR6. These are the web sites that you will want to start doing your free link exchanges with.

Here is a copy of the email I send to other web site owners to request free link exchanges with.

Hi,

I wanted to see if youกd do a free link exchange with me.

Many of the top search engines use reciprocal linking to rank your web pages. In order to have high ranking web pages you need links back to your web site.

Here is my information:

Title: Beanie Babies

Description: Youกll find over 500 different styles of Beanie Babies at

BarrysBeanies.com. Many at up to 59% off retail. We also wholesale Ty

Beanie Babies.

URL: http://www.BarrysBeanies.com

Please send email to [email protected] after you place my link on your web site with the URL address of where it is located along with the information for your listing on my web site.

Your information:

Title:

Description:

URL:

Once I receive your information I will place it on my Links Page and Iกll email the URL address where youกll be able to view your link.

Thank you,

Barry Stein

BarrysBeanies.com

Option #2

Optimize your web pages for keyword phrases. Youกll want to target one keyword phrase per web page. If you have great content and have targeted a keyword phrase then eventually Google will index your web page and rank it higher.

You should really use both these options, but of the two I like the free link exchanges best because I can quickly see the progress Iกm making.

Do free link exchanges work?

Well, as I stated above, my web site www.BarrysBeanies.com was ranked number 33 for my most important keyword phrase, กBeanie Babies.ก

I then started doing free link exchanges. Prior to that time I only had about 10 link exchanges on my web site with other web sites. Now I have about 100 links and my rank on Google for กBeanie Babiesก is number 5.

So free link exchanges do work!

Search engine ranking is one of the most important parts to your overall Internet success if you have a web site. In fact, it may be the most important thing you can learn how to do in order to have a successful Internet business.

How to Generate Loads Of Free Traffic To Your Webs

How to Generate Loads Of Free Traffic To Your Website!

by: Paul Kellum

One of the most popular ways to generate free traffic to your website these days is to use a free traffic exchange service.

A traffic exhange is website service that enables you to view someones website, and others in turn view yours. You earn credits when you view someones site, and you use those credits to have others view your site.

Internet marketers would like to know how to bring traffic to their websites quickly, without spending any money. Traffic exchanges can accomplish this.

The greatest benefit comes in when you sign up others and receive traffic from their efforts.

The different types of exchanges are start page exchanges, manual surf, and auto surf.

The key is to join more than one exchange, it could be start page, manual or auto surf exchange, and promote them to get referrals.

Go to any search engine such as yahoo or excite, and search for traffic exchanges. There are hundreds, with new ones being established everyday.

With all the traffic exchanges you find from the searh engines,if you join them, you will increase your traffic greatly.

Making Effective Use of Traffic Exchanges

Making Effective Use of Traffic Exchanges

by: Brian Holte

A look inside the guts of a traffic exchange.

• What are traffic exchanges?

Traffic exchanges are used by 100,000 + people who are interested in the same goals as you are, marketing your product and services.

• How do traffic exchanges work?

Simply put, a group of people (myself included) who agree to surf and view pages created by other people.

• What benefits do traffic exchanges bring you?

The first way is in Traffic Exchange Programs, brings people who are interested in what product or service you have to offer.

• What is a down line?

A down line is where you have the opportunity to increase traffic to you site by having others sign in under you and promote your service for you without any extra work on your part.

• How to build down lines?

There are no magical ways to increase your down lines except by uploading your article and waiting for it to be spidered by the search engines.

Your best bet is to pick 2 traffic generating articles, and you also need a spider to crawl your site. It’s always better to let the spiders find your pages on their own.

• How many levels do you get credit for?

Most Traffic Exchanges have a down line of 7 or so, needless to say the possibilities are there for continued growth

• What kind of traffic exchange programs works best?

Well, that all depends on your personal needs. There are 2 different types of ways you could go about it, continue to use the free version of the program you have picked until you have a big enough down line. Once you have a half decent down line under you, you might want to upgrade Pro so you receive more benefits than the guy who chooses the Free version (like money and freebies).

• What can you do to improve traffic to your site?

Pick two favorite programs that you’ve come to trust and work them (don’t get discouraged, keep plugging away), submit those articles to article announcement groups, send a notice out to your subscribers letting them know about your traffic exchange programs

Summary

Don’t be a Rabbit by jumping from one program to another, decide on which programs you’re interested in and stick with them, promote you business, continue to do what works for you. Traffic Exchanges can be a great resource if you put in just a few minutes extra a day.

Do You Need Links to Your Site?

Do You Need Links to Your Site?

by: Max Ledbetter

I realize that in an ongoing attempt to rationalize selfinterest and selfimage (in other words, they want to pull the wool over our eyes), a motley crew of soso consultants are constantly trying to create a few convergent global Internet policies composed of extraneous and ad hoc rules backed up by little more than rumor and thin air.

Therefore, in comic defiance, I am listing a few automated link exchanges. Itกs fun, and irrespective of what the wouldbe experts say out there in wasteyourtimeland, the automatic exchanges do bring you traffic and sometimes a sale or two. When your page rank is zero, what do you have to lose?

First of all, add your site to http://freepgs.com/ledbetter/wordpress/?page_id=69 and to the automatic reciprocal exchange located near the bottom of http://classified.5gigs.com.

Then add your sites to these directories (the directories lead you to the signup pages of reciprocal automatic link exchanges containing 100s and 1000s of unique members running websites on separate, unique servers):

Here are a few of the very best free semiautomated linktrading services: http://link2me.com, http://linkmarket.net, http://linkmetro.com, and http://monsterlinkswap.com.

Then there is http://evolinktion.com/. กEvolinktion is committed to creating the most thorough and relevant human compiled and maintained reciprocal link exchange network in the world.ก

Thinking of Using Hit Exchanges to Boost Your Adse

Thinking of Using Hit Exchanges to Boost Your Adsense Revenue? Think Again

by: John Wooton

So, youกve added Adsense to your site and you are getting a few clicks. You could be thinking to yourself, How do I get a massive amount of visitors to bump up my earnings? If you’re anything like me, you hear those stories about webmasters that have added Adsense and are already earning five figure incomes per month, and you start to see the dollar signs.

So you start brainstorming. You come up with a few ideas: email marketing, ebooks, trial software, etc. The thirst for Adsense dollars (and maybe a few affiliate dollars) is your main drive. Pushing massive amounts of traffic through your site can give you quite a thrill ride.

Then along comes the well known email that markets the traffic exchanges. If you aren’t familiar with traffic exchanges, itกs really very simple. You see, you sign up for their service (which often times is free) and your website is put in a list. The way the free traffic works is that you surf the web using their browser, browsing sites that are in their directory (or list) and every 30 seconds you can refresh to a new site. As you continue to do this, it builds up credits for your account that you use for other people who are using their browser to see your site.

Itกs a cyclical service. You see their site, they see yours. And since you can have as many browsers going (among the many traffic exchanges) as your computer can handle, you can theoretically build up a large quantity of hits on your site in a relatively small period of time.

It seems like a great thing, and for many it fills a very necessary niche, so I can’t say that the traffic exchanges are a bad service. I would use them in anything else that I am doing. I would, however, make a very big distinction.

First, I know and respect the techกs at Google and I know that when they make a new program for their visitors and webmasters to use, they make it for the benefit of everyone. That is the case with their Adwords and Adsense programs, both targeted to helping webmasters make money through advertising (albeit the opoosite ends of the scale).

So when I put an ad on my website, I know that I am offering a service to the advertiser (through Google) to reach their target market. And ethically, I should only be paid when I provide that service (someone clicks through that ad to their site). There are extreme ethical problems if you were to use traffic exchanges with the Adsense program to try and cheat the advertiser out of his hard earned dollars.

Plus, if you haven’t figured out by now, Google knows what you are doing. They have specific ways of knowing what is a legitimate impression, versus what is a hit generated by a traffic exchange. Your numbers quickly dwindle if you use a hit exchange and you run the risk of being kicked off the program.

Plus, often times you have to go through two websites wasting a full minute of your time before you get one hit directed to your website. Building up over time, it eventually it all adds up.

Take, for instance, the กsurf contestsก. This is where they tell you who has racked up the most surfing in the week. These numbers are huge… up to 10,000 page loads. When you add it up, thatกs over 84 hours of one week that is taken up trying to earn an extra 1,000 hits on your site. Not very worth it to me.

The best way to use the Adsense program is with a website that you have that is established and has a constant stream of visitors going through it. Thatกs the goal of the program, make money off of an existing site and its content.

Intro to the Traffic Exchanges

Intro to the Traffic Exchanges

by: Brennan Howe

Even if youกve been marketing on the internet for only a very short time youกve no doubt come accross ‘traffic exchangesก. The number of exchanges out there is staggering, so if you need to know what these things are all about read on.

A traffic exchange is a system where in return for veiwing the websites of others you will get credits for hits to your own sites. There are several different types of exchanges:

The กsurf exchangeก or กstart page exchangeก: The names are synonimous and they are by far the most predominant type of trafic exchange. The user is required to veiw a web page in their browser for a set amount of time before clicking to earn credit and move on.

กAuto surfingก: Like above but the pages change and credit is received without user interaction.

Popup exchanges: With these the web page will กpopupก at set intervals or or events. You will need to view the window for a set time before closing and receiving credit. These will usualy require a small program to be downloaded and run on the users computer.

Now that you know what they are you need to know what they’re made of. These are the things you will need to consider when comparing the different exchanges.

The กsurf ratioก is how many pages youกll veiw before one of yours is displayed. These can be from 1:1 to 5:1 but are usualy somwhere in between. Many sites will also give bonus credits or run promotions for credits. Some will also give credit for sending traffic to your referal page. All of these will combine to determine how many credits you actualy get for surfing.

You can also get credit for refering others to the exchanges. You will receive a percentage of the credits earned by the referal, usual this will go several levels deep.

You will allways be required to view the pages for a set amount of time. This varies between exchanges and usualy ranges between 10 and 30 seconds. For surf exchanges you will need to click to procede. Often the spot to click will change or you will need to click a certain number or symbol this is to help insure that a script or the like isn’t being used to cheat the system. If an exchange doesn’t have some kind of anticheat system itกs probably being cheated.

There is often the option of joining the traffic exchanges as a paid member. The benefits of this could be a number of monthly credits, better surf ratio, more referal credits and other special offers. And of course if you dont like surfing, credits are usualy offered for sale by the traffic exchanges.

These are the things you will need to look at when comparing traffic exchanges. There are hundreds out there with new ideas based on these principals appearing every day. Below are a few of my favorite traffic exchanges. Each uses a different system for you to compare.

Traffic Exchange Primer

Traffic Exchange Primer

by: F. Terrence Markle

Traffic exchanges are everywhere. A traffic exchange is a clever way to get hundreds or thousands of visitors to your website. The concept is very simple and the exchange process is easy to put into action. First, you join a traffic exchange program that includes individuals with websites to promote. Next, you set up the website you want to promote. Finally, you visit the websites of the other members and they visit your website in exchange.

There are both fr^ee and paid traffic exchanges. Some of the exchanges are good and some are not so good. They come in two basic flavors: manual surf and automatic surf. In the manual surf mode, you have to visit a website for a minimum period of time and then click on a button to visit the next website in the rotation. In the automatic surf mode, the websites are visited automatically for a specific period of time before the next website is displayed. The order of website visitation in both the manual and automatic mode is controlled by the traffic exchange webmaster.

A rotator or randomizer can be used to display the member websites one after another in either the automatic or manual surf mode. The rotator will display a different website in an order specified by the traffic exchange. In the auto surf mode, the rotator usually displays websites for a specific time period that usually ranges from 15 seconds to 60 seconds. The randomizer, on the other hand, will randomly select the website to be displayed. You earn credits as you view more and more websites.

A traffic exchange will expose your website to many Internet users on a worldwide basis. As a result, the exchange can possibly give your website a lot of hits. Visualize the traffic exchange in the same manner you would view a TV. The exchange provides you with websites to view similar to watching TV commercials.

The basic traffic exchange program works on the กcreditก principle. You earn a full or partial กcreditก every time you visit another member’s website. In turn, you lose a full credit whenever another member visits your website. The typical exchange allows you to earn from 0.5 to 1.0 credit for every visit you make to another memberกs website.

You can usually obtain credits on the traffic exchange by:

Viewing the websites of other members

Referring other individuals to join the exchange

Purchasing credits from the exchange’s webmaster.

If you purchase credits, you generally have a higher rate of conversion of credits earned and/or purchased versus credits used when you receive visits from other members. You have greater control over how you use your earned credits when you pay to receive credits. It is possible to get an display rate of your website that exceeds 1.0 for every 1.0 credits you earned or purchased.

As an example, in the basic fr^ee mode you might have to use 2.0 earned credits to display your website 1.0 times to other members. This is a 0.5 exchange rate. Depending on the traffic exchange and the number of credits purchased, you can increase the exchange rate up to about 2.0 displays of your website to other members for every hit you receive.

Some exchanges offer a signup bonus (fr^ee earned credits) to encourage you to join their traffic exchange. This enables you to start getting visitors to your website immediately.

You have the ability to enable or disable your own website for viewing by other members. If you enable your website, other members can view your site and thus consume your account credits. If you disable your website, other members cannot view your website and you conserve your credits. This allows you to continue to surf the other member websites and build up your available credits for use at a different time.

The traffic exchanges specify whether or not you can have multiple websites for display. However, you can only display one website at a time if you are permitted to have multiple websites. You can specify how many of your earned and/or purchased credits can be applied to each of your websites.

Most exchanges have a referral program where you can earn credits for the people that you refer to the traffic exchange program and their surfing activity. As a bonus, you may receive a certain percentage of their earned credits. Your downline levels may be unlimited or limited depending on the traffic exchange structure.

Most traffic exchanges earn money from the กpurchase creditsก feature they offer and from advertisements. In general, an exchange member can specify whether or not they want to see popups, adult or erotic websites.

Most traffic exchanges have restrictions associated with your use of the exchange. For example, exchanges generally specify whether you can or cannot have: (1) popup windows, (2) message boxes, (3) inappropriate content or adult material, (4) break out of frames, (5) site rotation, (6) URL or domain forwarding and (7) more than one account.

Furthermore, the traffic exchange may be able to delete your account if: (1) your account is inactive for a given period of time or (2) your website is causing problems for the exchange system.

Some exchanges let their members sell their earned credits for cash back to the traffic exchange. The rate of conversion from earned credits to cash is controlled by the webmaster of the traffic exchange.

Your website design and the time it takes for the website to load are very critical when using a traffic exchange. Your webpage will never get viewed if your site takes 15 seconds to load and the exchange rotates the websites every 15 seconds. You want to have at least a 10second viewing window to give the surfing exchange member time to respond to your webpage presentation.

Keep your website clean of unnecessary clutter. You want your visitor to make a quick decision whether to ask for more information or pass on your offering.

Make your displayed website short and simple. Do not send your visitors to the sales page on your main website. Provide a killer headline followed by supporting bullets and ask for their name and email address. Don’t make it complicated.

Put the lure on the fishing line and give your visitors a chance to say ขyesข to your presentation. You need to get your message in front of your visitor quickly. Capture their name and email address. You will have plenty of chances at a later time to market to your list.

Traffic exchanges can bring you a lot of traffic. It will take some work but the increase in your own optin list will provide constant inspiration. You should consider the benefits gained from traffic exchanges if you have the time and proper motivation.

Thousands Of Banner Displays For FREE!

Thousands Of Banner Displays For FREE!

by: Michael Hopkins

Hereกs a little trick thatกs quick and easy to excecute and will get your banner displayed thousands of times across the web. Putting this tip into action requires no big commitment on your part in most cases you just do it and forget about it.

Hereกs how it goes…

You’re probably familiar with the concept of banner exchanges. In a nutshell, banner exchanges facilitate having your banner displayed on other peopleกs websites in exchange for you displaying those other peopleกs banners on your site.

The problem with banner exchanges is that you have to display banners on your site that you may not want to have there, and with banner clickthrough rates continuing to get smaller, you may be asking yourself if itกs worth it.

The good news however, is that you can take advantage of banner exchanges WITHOUT the need to have banners displayed on your site.

You see, there are lots of banner exchanges out there that will give you free banner displays on their memberกs sites just for signing up. That means that you can go around to these exchanges, sign up for an account, get your free banner displays and then forget about it.

Here are a few of the exchanges that offer free credits when you sign up:

http://www.fusionbanners.com (600 impressions)

http://www.1bannerexchange.com (500 impressions)

http://www.surfitfast.com/signup.html (2500 impressions)

http://www.thebannertrader.com (2000 impressions)

http://www.ragingbanners.com (1000 impressions)

http://www.gobanner.com (25,000 impressions!)

http://www.trademytraffic.com (2500+ impressions)

http://www.searchenginetactics.com (600 impressions)

http://www.submit2engine.com (200 impressions)

Thatกs a total of 34,900 banner displays for your site! And this is, by no means, an extensive list of exchanges that offer free impressions. Run a few searches for กbanner exchangesก on the search engines to find more.

NOTE: Please note one thing, some exchanges will manually verify that youกve added their banner HTML to your site before your account will be activated. If this is the case, you have the choice of either (1) displaying their banners temporarily until your account is activated and youกve earned your free credits, or (2) just forgetting about them and finding another that has no such requirement.

And there you have it free banner displays without the pain!

Your Money Is Still In Your List Build It!

Your Money Is Still In Your List Build It!

by: Janice Sharman

You are a home business entrepreneur. You have just built a fantastic website, acquired a host of good products but your advertising budget is small. How do you go about enticing people to your website? I know exactly how you feel because, like lots of small home business entrepreneurs, I have been right where you are now.

Even if you’ve only been marketing on the Internet for a short time, I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, ขthe money is in the listข. A good email optin list – a list you build yourself, is worth its weigh in gold. It is the difference between being wildly successful and falling into the deep black hole of cyberspace. So how you go about building an optin list without much money?

There are several ways to go about capturing leads cheaply or for free. The most common method is to offer a free newsletter on your site. People who surf the web surf do so mainly for information. Giving them what they want, works. Offer free information as an incentive to join your list. Free works! Don’tก offer something that is available everywhere you turn on the Internet. Offer something of value – a mindblowing free report, an ebook packed with great information or an awesome free gift.

There are numerous free listbuilding programs that offer ways you can build your list. The List Builderกs Club, The List Machine, ListDotCom and Opportunity.com are just a few of the good ones available. Sign up with one or all of them and see if they are what you are looking for. If they are not, there is no need to waste time with them.

Because of the spam factor, buying leads does not work as well as it used to but it is still quite effective. It just takes more leads to get the desired response. Right now lead companies are falling over themselves to sell single optin leads cheaper than their competitors. Some companies are literally giving them away free for a limited time at the rate of 2,000 per day. Sign up with one of these companies and find an autoresponder service still willing to allow you to import purchased leads. It is a numbers game. Letกs say you only get 50 – 100 signups for your newsletter out of each 2,000, it is still not a bad deal. That is 1,500 – 3,000 additions to your list each month at a fraction of what it would cost to buy double optin leads. It is then up to you to build a relationship with the ones who have agreed to optin to your list.

Traffic Exchanges are great places for getting leads. Don’t expect a huge number of direct signups for your programs from them. Most of the people surfing the Traffic Exchanges are advertising their products or sites. They are not looking for programs to join.

The best way Iกve found to work the Traffic Exchanges, is to join a few lead generation programs of your choice and advertise them on the Traffic Exchanges. The people surfing the Traffic Exchanges who are not getting results are open to offers from new recruiting programs.

Run contests on your website and have people subscribe to your newsletter as a requirement of entry. If your newsletter is any good they will continue to receive it even after the contest is over.

A fantastic list building method that requires no expenditure is writing articles. Write articles and submit them to web sites, ezines and other places on the Internet. Ezine publishers are constantly looking for fresh content so articles will always be in demand. กI can’t writeก! Sure you can! If it means the difference between starvation and making money, you discover just how well you can write. Get out your notepad and sit at your computer with the TV and radio off and get something on the page. Everything improves with practice and your writing will too. Try it. You have nothing to loose and you may find you are a fantastic writer. Write about something you know are familiar with or are an expert on. If you blatantly advertise your products in your article, it will not be accepted. You can advertise your website or your expertise in your Home Business in the resource box at the end of your article.

I have found that it is best to implement several methods to build your list quickly. Whatever method you use, remember that for email marketing to be effective it must be targeted. Your prospective customers must be interested in your product or service.

List building is not a get rich quick method but it is still extremely effective. It takes time to build a responsive email list and it may be several months before it becomes the moneymaker you anticipate. With this in mind plan a really good lead building strategy from the outset and you should gradually see your profits soar. Your money is still in your list.

Winning The Hit Exchange Game

Winning The Hit Exchange Game

by: Ofa Morgan

กHow do I get more traffic to your site?ก Thatกs the eternal question. Or to be more precise, กHow do I get more targetted traffic to my pages, people who are going to be interested in what I have to offer?ก

Afterall, thereกs no point, or rather little point in getting a steady stream of boxing fans over to your site, if its main theme is bread making. I said little point because Iกm pretty sure that there are some boxing enthusiasts who are also avid bread makers, but what would be likelihood of getting that many over to your bread making site at any given time?

One method of getting targetted traffic to your site is through the hit exchanges. Now despite what you may have heard about them, I urge you to give me a chance to explain, why, if hit exchanges are used in a certain way, they can be a great souce of targetted visitors. Warm responsive prospects who want to know more about your site and/or business.

Put simply, a hit exchange is a facility that you can use to get hits to your site in exchange for viewing other peopleกs sites. Not all exchanges are created equal and two of the main things to look out for when picking which ones to join are:

anti cheat controls: the top hit exchanges have tight anti cheat security which prevents the use of auto surf software. Whilst the use of such programs is very tempting and attractive, it kind of defeats the point of the hit exchanges. Thereกll be more on this later on!

the exchange ratio: just how many sites will you need to view in order to get one visitor to your site? The smaller the amount of pages you have to visit in order to get a hit back to your own site, the more productive your surfing time will be.

The traffic that comes from hit exchanges has been called a number of things, none of which are particularly savoury cheese burger traffic (well, I guess thatกs pretty savoury in one sense of the word!), a waste of bandwith, a cheap gimmick.

Well, inspired by another internet marketerกs experience with them, I decided to advertise an ebay auction on one of the top hit exchanges and ended up getting a much higher winning bid than I would have done otherwise.

The thing with hit exchanges is that youกve got to know how to use them, otherwise your results will be disappointing. But if you apply the three tips that I personally use when advertising on them, you may be pleasantly surprised.

So letกs go straight to….

No1: Create a special page for the traffic exchanges.

The maximum amount of time that your site will be given to load is 30 seconds and the last thing you want is a slow loading page. It needs to:

load quickly which will mean being very sparing with the graphics and animation.

put across the greatest benefit for visiting you site very clearly.

have a quick and easy way for surfers to bookmark your page. This is very important. When surfing for hits, you get into a kind of flow, one you don’t really want to interrupt. Having a favourites button will ensure that people who are pushed for time can always come back and view your page later.

If you have links to other sites on your special page,itกs best if they open in new windows. That way your visitor doesn’t have to leave the hit exchange.

Itกs also a good idea to have some form of email capture facility on your page. Offer surfers something free in exchange for their email address or use a subscription box to get sign ups for your newsletter.

No2: Choose hit exchanges that allow you to select which category your site falls into. This way, it will be viewed by surfers whoกve also chosen this category or similar categories. So your search optimization site won’t get shown to surfers interested in action/adventure games!

Some exchanges also let you pick the type of sites you want to see.

No3: Use hit exchanges that don’t allow cheating

Remember I touched on this earlier? Itกs so important that I thought Iกd talk a bit more about it here. Put bluntly, hit exchanges that allow cheating aren’t worth too much of your time.

Why? Because whilst you’re faithfully clicking away, and viewing other peopleกs sites, yours never gets seen because X amount of surfers in that exchange aren’t really surfing at all. In fact they’re using some form of surf automation software thatกs busy doing the กclickingก for them!

As I mentioned earlier, this really does defeat the point of traffic exchanges which is to give some of your time to view other peopleกs sites to receive the time of fellow hit exchange members.

Anti cheating controls can take the form of having to click on a certain number or shape before you can proceed on to the next page and earn a hit to your site.

Other types include acknowledging receipt of bonus credits and some even offer cash prizes that you need to claim!

You may have heard a lot of bad things about hit exchanges but don’t be put off by them.

As with most forms of advertising, starting off with free offers and then marketing your main product(s) and service(s) will always work better than trying to sell something straight away.

This is especially true of hit exchanges were peopleกs main focus is surfing for credits.

Apply the three tips above for better results, and whilst surfing, take an interest in other peopleกs pages. Learn from their mistakes and try and emulate their sucesses. And you never know, whilst looking through other peopleกs sites, you might very well come across that elusive product, service or bit of information that youกve been searching for.

Link Exchanges What they can do for your busines

Link Exchanges What they can do for your business (PART 1)

by: Martin Lemieux

For those of you who don’t know the definition: Link Exchanges are 2 links back and forth between 2 individual companies that have linked to each other.

What is the purpose? To build กlink popularityก within Search Engines!

How Does That Work? Well when someone types in your business within search engines, you will get 2 types of results.

1) Your optimized site & related topics listed by you into the search engines. 2) All the links back to you from other sites listed within the search engines.

Number 2 is the important one for this subject: If your site is NOT กoptimizedก for great search results, a popular link could do just the same.

กOptimizedก Look for articles on กOptimizing your site for search enginesก

Martin, PLEASE TELL ME MORE!!!

Well, letกs say that 80% of your visitors come from search engines. And letกs say that the search engine just all of a sudden deleted you out of the engine! You will still get people coming to your site and searching your site with great link popularity. All the links back to you will STILL be listed in the search engines!

Many professionals believe that you should only link to companies that have related discussions or information as your own! They are absolutely right! Do your business a favor, link ONLY to sites that are related to your own site!

Itกs not only good for search engines! Huh?

Thatกs right, many link exchanges come from privately owned businesses, probably like yours. With this into account, once a visitor is satisfied with browsing the site, they may look for other resources! If you have links to your site all over the net, thereกs more of a chance some people will see it and visit your site!

Please Note: When giving other companies your description of your link (Company Title) please make sure to be specific on your sites information!

Hereกs an example of the information we provide for our text link:

Title: Smartads.Info

URL: http://www.smartads.info

Description: Smartads :: Learn everything about Link Exchanges, Search Engines Submissions, Advertising & Marketing Tips, Web Design, Special Canadian Sites. Promotion & Traffic Resources

Thatกs it!

Here are a couple of companies that promote link exchanges between all kinds of other companies:

http://www.plainlinks.com/

These are just some examples. They are not listed here as the best there is, just some of the many companies out there!

If your searching for companies to exchange links with, hereกs a couple of things to look for!

1. Look for buttons or links that say this:

Links

Link To Us

Reciprocal Links

Link Exchange

Directory (add your site and link back)

2. When looking through other link programs, make sure they say something like this: กLink to us and well link to youก Many sites often only have กHelp us promote our site, link to us!ก and they don’t even link to you!

Not to say this is a bad thing, but if iกm going to link to you, the least you can do is link to me! 🙂

I hope this article has opened your mind about Link Exchanges!
