Can We Talk? I Mean Honestly? I’ve Got Some Good News and A Warning for You Too

by: Dee Scrip

1. Have you ever found an incredible buy somewhere and couldn’t wait to rush home and call all your friends to tell them about it? It is such great news and you know it will save them a ton of money.

2. Or have you ever been warned about a sinister person lurking under someone’s car at night waiting for their next victim to arrive? You are so concerned that you feel impelled to warn all your friends as soon as possible so they won’t become a casualty because of lack of knowledge.

Well, if your answer is ขyesข to either one of these questions, perhaps you can relate to what I am about to tell you…

You see, I’ve found the most awesome bargain since Alexander Graham Bell first invented the telephone! And I can hardly contain myself from sharing it with you because I know once you try it out, you are going to absolutely love it, and especially since it will save you a ton of money.

Well, here it is! Some ingenious person combined the features and convenience of the telephone with the power of the Internet, and came up with a computer phone. It intrigued me so much that I had to try it. And guess what? Now I am making all my phone calls from my computer! Plus, I have been pocketing almost 80% in savings after comparing the costs with what I was paying when using a traditional phone. It is a really simple concept too. How cool is that!

When I first tried the computer phone out, I found I didn’t have a built in microphone on my computer. That was a bummer until I discovered a microphone for a computer only costs $5.00 at a local store. And, all I had to do was plug it into the back of my computer so that I could talk. That alone was thrilling just from the simple fact that I am basically computer challenged.

Well, let me tell you, after I plugged that baby in and talked to a few people, I was off and running telling every friend I had about this incredible find! And now I am telling you too! You’ve just gotta try it! You are going to absolutely love it! I promise you!!

Even some of my friends on dialup connections to the Internet were able to use it too!

I don’t want you to become a casualty of computer phones either. So here’s my warning…

I found out there are a lot of computer phone (VoIP) companies out there offering their wares. But along with that, I heard a lot of clients using their services were given a virus or worm, and some poor folks even had their personal and confidential information accessed by some unscrupulous hackers who sold it to other villainous individuals information like their social security numbers, their birth dates all the makings for your personal identity to be stolen.

Being the naturally curious person that I am, I wanted to find out how that happened. Here is what I unearthed.

Over 90% of the VoIP computer phone providers were operating on unsafe lines – the kind hackers can easily access. How so? Because these computer phone providers were operating from publicly open and interpretable industry standard codec (codes) and industry standard protocols (IP addresses) to lower their costs. And being publicly accessible meant that hackers were lurking nearby just waiting for another innocent victim to prey upon.

I know it is hard to believe there are these types of criminal entities out there, but unfortunately, the harsh reality is that there are.

So, now I am thinking – how can I protect myself from these pathetic misfits while I am using my computer phone. Guess what? I found out how! It was just a matter of finding a computer phone provider that did NOT operate on these publicly open and interpretable industry standards.

In fact, here is some more good news I want to share with you too.

I found a computer phone provider that operated on its own proprietary highend encryption codec (code) hosted on its own proprietary patented technology. You want to talk about being optimally safe and secure…well, you’ve got it! Not only that, this one you can try out 7 days for free.

My thoughts are, if someone is so confident about their product that they would let me try it for free first – before even deciding if I wanted to purchase it, then they must have the real deal.

Personally, since I have been using the computer phone, I have kept in closer contact with my family scattered throughout the country, and I have made quite a lot of new friends in many other countries – all of which I talk to as long as I want absolutely free. Way too cool !!

Well, these are my great finds and warning for you. As an update: I have since become a computer phone solutions provider and can promise you that these computer phones are absolutely amazing in quality and safety, and are light years above the ขcompetitionข if you can call it that.

Why not try one out for yourself? It is free and you will have nothing to lose. Actually, you will have everything to gain, including putting some of that hard earned money back into your own pocket.

Here ya go – try it out 7 days for free at http://www.whypay4calls.com/gtp/to.pl?l=ARTFREE

Oh, and I almost forgot. I have put together a little Report entitled ขWhy Hackers Love Computer Phones – Shocking Inside Informationข which is absolutely free also. Here’s the website for that: http://www.whypay4calls.com/gtp/to.pl?l=ART04

Internet Affiliate Marketing 101 Itกs All About

Internet Affiliate Marketing 101 Itกs All About Relationships

by: Glenn Beach

So youกve found the perfect affiliate program, youกve signed up and they gave you a website….now what? ‘theyก say that กall you have to doก is drive traffic to your site…but you don’thave a clue where to begin…
Never fear, Affiliate 101 is here…hereกs a list of a few simple, free or inexpensive tasks you can accomplish today. Detailsfollow, first just the list:

Send emails to friends and family;
Make new friends on the internet;
Print out and distribute posters, business cards, and/or postcards;
Write articles and post free ads.

First of all, don’t panic. You don’t have to do ALL of these, just whatever you feel comfortable with. But I do heartily suggest that you push the envelope a little on your comfort level…
Email Friends and Family
If you’re uncomfortable with contacting family members (they CAN be your sharpest critics) first scan the options, maybe one of the less obtrusive ones would work.
Be sure to write ONLY to friends. Anything else will be considered spam; any worthy company will drop you like a hot potato when they receive legitimate spam complaints.
Consider the friends and family you might write to and decide the best approach for each:
1. The Second Opinion Approach: save this for the hard nuts to crack, flatter them with กIกve signed up for this opportunity and would really like to hear your opinion…ก
2. The Beating Around the Bush Approach: กIกm making some extra money doing this biz, do you know anyone who might need a few extra dollars?ก
3. The Direct Approach: for those close friends that you KNOW could use some financial miracles in their lives… you can lead with the business opportunity or with the products. I think itกs Avon that has a nice promo these days, กproducts you can buy and sellก. Simple and to the point…
4. The Chummy Letter Approach: just write a letter to a friend as you usually would and casually mention what you are doing, that itกs on กwait and seeก, or already is making you a little money, or whatever.
5. The NoMention Approach: just add a signature to all your emails that includes your websiteกs URL and your email address, maybe the name of your company. Subtle, letกs them explore if they want.
Getting to Know You…
How do you currently meet people on the internet? Game chat rooms, forums, optin email lists, Yahoo groups, messenger services…these are only a few ways to meet people. Many sites such as Yahoo, AOL, or ICQ let you create a profile including favorite websites, etc. While direct advertising is often frowned upon or prohibited, usually signatures at the bottom of posts is allowed. Many friendships formed in forums and chat rooms lead to email and website exchanges.
Stuffing Envelopes…
Printed fliers can be distributed everywhere you go, posted on your car…be creative. Include a business card or flier in every piece of mail you send including bills, on tables in restaurants, in phone booths, stick them in business books in the library. Make it fun! If you have mailing addresses rather than email addresses of anyone who might be interested, send them a flier or postcard.
Become a Famous Author
Anyone can write an article, everyone is good at something or has an experience that would help someone else out. Article writing helpsbuild trust and over time will brand your name and drive traffic to your website. And itกs free. Submit your articles to individual webmasters and editors as well as article directories.
Banner Swapping and Text Linking
Some say that banners are not very effective in getting traffic to your website, but hey, itกs free and it doesn’t hurt to try. Itกs best to spend some time finding a high traffic site or two and not fill your site with banners. Text links are still your best bet.
There you have it, lots of good ideas for beginning promotion of your website.

Don’t Bite the Hands That Used to Feed You

Don’t Bite the Hands That Used to Feed You

by: Denise Hall

When we begin working online we have no idea how to get visitors to our website, let alone actually make a sale. We start to read everything we can get our hands on to learn as much as we can.

We subscribe to newsletters, sign up for free reports and buy eBooks and courses offered by those who already make their living online.

They know how to start and promote a business and they’re willing to show us. We follow their lead as they guide us into the world of Internet marketing, teaching us what they know each step of the way.

There are many wonderfully helpful people in the Internet business world. Not only do many of them provide help along our journey, but they also become our friends.

Then there are the ones who กhit the big timeก and leave their friends behind. They suddenly think they’re too good for those who haven’t yet reached the same financial status. They’re hobnobbing with the กbig guysก now and don’t have time for us. Our names aren’t in the same social class as theirs anymore.

Excuse me, Mr. กIกm a Millionaire now.ก Wasn’t it กlittle guysก like me who helped you make so much money? We bought your ebooks and software programs. We became your affiliates and sold your products, putting even more money in your pocket.

(By the way, if you’re so rich, why didn’t you send my last commission check? Iกm still your affiliate even if you don’t acknowledge me as your friend anymore.)

We looked up to you and we appreciated everything you did for us. Most of all, we were your friends. Suddenly we’re not good enough for you?

You should never forget where you started and how you got where you are now. The hands of your former friends and other กlittle guysก put food on your table and clothes on your back.

To the people who remain ‘realก and true to their friends, I say ‘thank you from the bottom of my heart.ก Without all of you, most of us wouldn’t get anywhere.

I haven’t yet struck it rich, online or offline, and maybe I never will. But even if I do, Iกll never forget my humble beginnings and the friends Iกve made along the way. They’re much more valuable to me than money.

The Essentials of Free Internet Marketing

The Essentials of Free Internet Marketing

by: Marie Kirschbaum

Given a solid product, a welldeveloped Web site, and a carefully designed marketing strategy it’s possible to make good even excellent sales without investing any money in promotion. That said, it does take a serious investment of time as well as marketing knowhow. Although you may still want to invest in paid advertising, free advertising methods can help keep your costs down.

Give them a reason to come

Give potential customers not only a reason to visit the first time, but a reason to keep coming back. Site design marketing strategy and must work together. Whether itกs simply advertising a weekly sale item or something more involved, like inviting people to a contest in which visitors find pictures hidden within your Web site to win a prize, the site and marketing should complement each other. The site should be alive a product sitting quietly on a page won’t get much attention. Provide content thatกs original and valuable to your target market – not just rehashed newswire copy. Add a ”Send this page” script to your articles and try to have them published (with or without pay) on other sites whenever you can. Unique, relevant, and regularlyupdated content will both bring you more visitors which will in turn improve your searchengine ranking and keep your old visitors returning. Organise your site to lead visitors toward making a purchase, enticing them to your products page with tempting suggestions in your one or two of your articles or in your sidebars. Use small banners as ”instore ads” to attract to your products page from, for example, your feature article page. After all, even if visitors spend time at your discussion group or reading your weekly column, it’s little use to you unless they buy. Keep your advertisements to a reasonable level, though. While ad copy should be lively and seductive, trying to pass an advertorial off as unbiased information will look superficial.

Schmooz

Connect with the people in your niche and built a community of potential customers. Online and email discussion groups are some of the easiest ways to mingle with potential customers. These groups are usually clubs of regulars, so get to know the people there on a human level, not just as a Web address. Use your URL in your signature, but avoid posting anything outright commercial. Many groups are, frankly, hypersensitive to anyone smelling of the promotions department. If you start your own discussion group, remember that people rarely leave messages on a board that looks inactive. Liven up the board to life first by inviting friends and family in and asking each other openended, relevant questions or by inventing a few personalities and talking with yourself for a while. Anything you can do to build a community around your site will help. People are far more likely to buy from someone they feel they know – not to mention someone they can find!

Encourage word of mouth

The ”Internet” was meant to be just that – a network of people exchanging information and linking often brings as much traffic as the search engines. Banner or link exchanges with sites of similar size and complimentary but not competing productline will introduce your site to a targeted, buying audience. However, FFA links don’t increase you search engine rank and usually don’t garner much traffic unless placed in small, narrowlytargeted sites. A better option is getting listed in a directory relevant to your site’s subject. As a variation on the bannerexchange, try articleforarticle or articleforlink exchanges with other sites and newsletters. A wellplaced, informative article can attract a lot of positive attention.

Viral marketing is another way to encourage word of mouth. Offer free ecards or a useful free ebook that people in your market will pass on to friends. Alternatively, selectively send out a story, tips sheet, or anything else uniquely useful that will get passed around. Something with your URL on it that comes from a familiar address has far more weight with the recipient than any emaillist ad campaign from an unknown address. Have a ”Refer a Friend” scripts and offer an incentive for your visitors to actually refer their friends.

Do what you can to get into the major search engines and keep up on searchengine optimisation, but don’t waste all your time on monitoring your rank. If youกve found your market niche, your rank will almost take care of itself. Don’t neglect the speciality search engines, either they exist for health, music, pet care, and almost everything else and offer a more targeted audience and less competition.

Drop in on them

A useful, regularlydelivered optin newsletter is the ideal way to remind you customers about your site. But don’t bombard them with ads or fluff make the newsletter so useful your readers want to pass it on to their friends. Within the newsletters, give them a reason to return to your site, such as a new article, a sale, or a quiz with the answers at the site. At some point send out a survey asking customers what exactly they want, either from Web sites like yours or products like yours. For even more mileage, offer to swap ads or articles with other newsletters.

Getting nothing for nothing

Not every marketing scheme works as well as its promoters would sometimes have you think. Generally free classifieds work only in the narrowest markets. Free sites (porthole sites) at tripod and the like can work if they contain real content and with perhaps a different slant than your main site or are used to highlight a specific product. Bulk email adcampaigns are often disappointing in results and may make you more enemies than friends. This technique, while it still brings in buyers in some markets, is working less than it used to.

Study, study, study!

Keep researching it may take some trial and error to find the techniques that fit your product and market. Given the rapid pace of Internet development, networking is usually the most efficient way to stay on top of advancements. There are a number of sites, discussion groups, and newsletters devoted to Internet promotions that will help you keep up with marketing trends and techniques and gather new ideas. If your business strategies are sound and your product is in demand, you may well be able to make a solid profit even without a bottomless advertising budget.

Short Story: The Benefits of Shopping Online

Short Story: The Benefits of Shopping Online

by: Jesse S. Somer

Maria’s new lifestyle: Short story about the benefits shopping on the Net has given to a dedicated artist.

I’ve got this strange friend; her name is Maria. Maria’s always been a little weird but now things have gotten unworldly altogether. You see, Maria’s an artist; she’s into sculpture in particular, of which she specializes in the manipulation of Perspex with a blowtorch. Lately I haven’t seen too much of her as she’s hooked up the Internet. Actually not many people at all have seen her recently; she says she’s working on a big project.

Now that she’s got the Internet she reckons she can focus a lot more on her work without distractions. She doesn’t ‘waste’ time doing grocery shopping anymore. Now she orders all her food and household items. She says if she’s extremely busy, her weekly list is saved into the computer, and she just clicks on ‘order’ and the usual stuff is delivered to her door every week. No more driving, parking, searching for stuff, standing in line, dealing with bored and under slept cashiers. I’m starting to think it’s not such a bad idea. Maria is pretty proud. She’s now organizing for a local greengrocer to deliver her fruit and vegetables too.

Maria has always had a ‘thing’ for Donald Duck. On the Net she’s found all these rare collectable dealers like Ebay. When she’s not warping Perspex into postmodern configurations representing the need for a more spiritual existence, she’s thriving in the consumerist world of finding and bidding for Donald Duck comic books from the 1950’s. Last I heard a friend said she’s actually starting to look like a duck herself!

All this Internet shopping is pretty new to me, it sounds like it really could help a lot of people out. However for recluse artists it could be the final straw for friends and family who may never see their buddies again! Nah, its coolI just hope Maria’s new project isn’t a giant Perspex Donald Duck. I don’t think the world needs any more Donald Ducks!

I just got back from Maria’s place. You’re not going to believe what I saw. She was actually having a party, and I wasn’t invited. Maybe she thinks I’m boring compared to her new friends. She says she met them on the Internet, a whole bunch of people into Donald Duck! One guy was actually dressed up like Yosemite Samgun belt and all! It seems I’m the odd one out.

Before I left her place she showed me her new sculpture. I underestimated her newfound love. It’s a giant computer; inside it is filled with the heads of all her friends (me included). Of course none of us had human mouths, smiling duck beaks adorned all the heads, a definite sign of the Internet’s powerful influence, and of the collective warping of today’s society!

A Great Banner Only Needs Simple Things…

A Great Banner Only Needs Simple Things…

by: Grannyกs Mettle

To create your own great banner, you only need five (5) simple things:

1. Size according to standards. Always keep to the standards. Having a bold, huge banner would look good and attract more attention than any graphic design ever would. Nevertheless, if everybody is doing it, what would be different about you then? As one designer have said: กI know that if your ad is slightly larger it may get more attention but if we all start doing this where will it stop.ก Sticking to the standards is quite the norm. Some sites would even require you to create your banner according to the regular standards of. So it is still better to design your banner this way than to revise it later on.

2. Great content equals great banner. Aside from a great graphic design, your banner should also have content that equals your banner. This must be short, simple, and very direct something that captures your objective and purpose. Most of all, it should be able to catch attention.

Banner ad contents are made to be direct and short because there is simply not much room for a lengthy discussion of the information you want to get across. In addition, not everyone would want to read or try to read what you have written in there. So keep it at a minimum. Don’t overindulge. Get the help of your friends and family to come up with what it is you want to say, but in a few words. You might even create a special saying that you could use to identify you from the others in your field.

3. Color and animation that match. Your website should have color and animation that match in all the pages. The colors should be eye catching and easy to look at, while graphic design animation should be made simple and short for easy download. No matter how animated and catchy your banner, it would be lost to someone who has already clicked off the page before it could even be started. Just make sure that your ad downloads quickly on an accelerated connection. And always assume that different people have different connections. Some may have DSL; others may have a slower provider. Whatever it is, make sure that your download time is reasonable.

4. A call that produces action. Contrary to popular belief, people are still highly susceptible to suggestions, and that according to studies, call to action words still work. So try to integrate calltoactionwords like กcall nowก, กclick hereก, or even กbuy nowก. This would help you convert your site to income and fast return of investments.

5. Critique from family and friends. A web designer once said that the best place to sample your web site would be your family and friends. They would be able to give you a positive or negative feedback just because they are the ones who would want you to succeed. Also, they wouldn’t be shy to tell you outright if you’re banner stinks. So go ahead and employ your lovedones to critique your design. Itกs free anyway.

Blogging Can Be A Collective Experience That Turns

Blogging Can Be A Collective Experience That Turns Faceless Strangers Into Close Friends. The Internet Is A Medium For A Revolutionary Change In How Humans Will Relate To Each Other In The Future.

by: M6.Net

I’ve been searching the Internet for blogging sites for a fair while now and recently I came across a whole blogging community, which has grabbed my interest greatly. It’s called Joe User and it’s a site that many bloggers all around the globe are partaking in. It is very well organized into categories such as Best Articles, Newest blog entries, Top blogging sites, New sites and Most hiton bloggers. The blogs range from very personal life introspection to serious analysis of current affairs in the media.
The aspect that has appealed to me the most is the very personal type of blogging community. Many people are talking about their feelings and issues about life with people that technically they have never met face to face. However, the type of camaraderie I’ve ‘witnessed’ as a bystander has truly amazed me. These people talk to each other as though they are extremely close friends, and the strange thing is I think this is the reality.
When one person has something important happen to them in their life, up to 100 or more comments will arrive under their blog entry with advice and information as well as emotional support from their blogging friends. Of course there are some differences in opinion, but the general perspective seems to be one of a positive approach to humanity. People are really spilling out their souls to each other, and then accepting criticism as well as discussing possible solutions to problems. I just find this to be truly inspirational, a human community or ‘tribe’ that has formed simply because of the Internet’s existence.
These people must spend a lot of time communicating with each other. Some are writing new entries everyday, as well as articles and conversations. The conversations usually happen in the ‘comments’ section where one can see that these people often stay up into the late hours of the morning, blogging to each other back and forth. The amount of love shared by these arbitrary acquaintances is astounding. One could perceive the whole experience as a form of therapy but I think it is much more than that. I believe this is a sign of a revolution. The coming of the New Human Tribe has begun.
If random bloggers can evolve into a community of people who trust, respect, and are intimate and united with each other this says a lot for the human condition. People are tired of the segregated, separatist reality of countries, cultures, races and religions. These group blogging sites, or collective online journals as I now like to think of them, are symbolic of the future connectedness of all of humanity. It may take a hundred years, or a thousand, or maybe only fifty, but it definitely looks like there’s hope yet for the warring, greedy humans. One day we all may be ‘one’ again in our minds as well as our physical forms.

Getting Free Viral Traffic Using Automated Visitor

Getting Free Viral Traffic Using Automated Visitor Referral Systems

by: Benjamin Choi

Would you like to get unlimited viral traffic to your site, for free?

It sounds too good to be true, of course. Many companies will promise to do this for you. The catch you have to put a banner ad, text link or popup on your page. This is not a good deal as it will increase your traffic by only 1% to 2% on each level. Furthermore, it involves the hassle of an affiliate programme.

However, it is possible for you to get free viral traffic to your site using the visitors you have. All you have to do is make it easy for them to tell their friends about your site. (Note that this tactic may not work if your site is a boring one and your visitors have no intention of telling their friends about your site.) Normally, it is too much trouble to shoot off an email. Therefore, if you want news of your site to spread rapidly by word of mouth, you must make it easy for your visitors to refer their friends to your site. The easiest way to do this is using a form. All they need to do is fill in their name, email, and the emails of a few friends, then hit the button. A quick email will be shot off to their friends with a link to your site. To have this kind of form, all you need is a HTML editor to make the form and a script to process the mailing.

The easy part is making the form. However, having a script to process the mailing is far harder. This will definitely create plenty of problems for you, unless you find a free service which will provide the mailing script. Also, it would be nice if that service could throw in a free formbuilding tool.

There is no shortage of such services; but most of them cleverly include a banner ad as part of the form built for you. Having seen many such services, I have made one which DOES NOT force you to put an unwanted ad on your page!

Enter TechnoSoft21 ViralTraffic, the allnew free service which provides a formbuilder and a form processing script to anyone who needs it. All you need to do is head to the site, fill out a form which generates the code for you, then copy and paste the code into your own website. When you view your site, you will see that it DOES NOT have a banner ad or any other ad on it! You will be ready to get the tidal wave of traffic to your site! To get started, just go to http://www.technosoft21.com/viraltraffic/

P.S. If for some reason or another you don’t want to use TechnoSoft21 ViralTraffic, you will probably have to construct your own form processing script in FrontPage WebBots, PHP, CGI, Perl, C, AppleScript, Python or another language. (TechnoSoft21 ViralTraffic is powered by PHP scripts.) Itกs tough work, but itกs fun. If you’re game enough… go for it!

Email Etiquette

Email Etiquette

by: Rose DesRochers

Today we are going to discuss one of my pet peeves, and learn about email etiquette. Those who don’t BCC send, an email nightmare. When you send your friends an email showing all email in the to: or CC line and those people forward that email to their address book of friends, suddenly 500 people now have your friends email addresses.

These email addresses remain in the email, because most people don’t do their part to edit them out. So when you forward an email that has 200 emails in the two field and your friend forwards it on to 300 of their friends. You now have an email with 500 emails.

Today I received just that email and I was able to harvest 500 email addresses from that one email that was carelessly sent by a friend of mine. So now 500 people I didn’t know had my email address. Ever wonder why you receive so much spam, adds to enlarge your penis or adds saying you have been approved for a mortgage? This is one reason. I do not believe for one moment that you would hand out your friends home address or phone number to people that you don’t know? The same consideration should really be taken into thought when sending out email.

You have the resources right there at your finger tip to protect your friends and family from spammers, stalkers, etc. So please use the BCC, instead of To or CC when sending group emails. Don’t ever give out another personกs email address without their permission.

Like I said above an email address should be treated just as a phone number or home address is treated.

So how does on BCC send. I have collected a few resources to help you.

How to BCC send in Yahoo http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/mail/send/send01.html

How to BCC send in hotmail

Example:

If you were to enter these email addresses:

‘to:ก [email protected]

กCC:ก

กBCC:ก[email protected] , [email protected], [email protected]

Each recipient will receive a copy of your email but it would look like this
