Do You Read On The Train?

Do You Read On The Train?

by: Tony Dean

I don’t know about you, but I see more people with PDAs on trains reading things on there instead of reading paperbacks, or newspapers.

Is this the future we are looking at?

Will newspapers of a morning be unobtainable anymore?

Will we get our daily news via the PDA?

Perhaps connected to a กSmartphoneก for downloading the newspaper to the PDA?

Or will กSmartphonesก take over the task of the PDA?

Will newsprint not be available in a few years time, also magazines at the bookstall?

Will public libraries not be a place you will go to and sit down and read? Or will they be a network hub with servers all over the place for people to instantly download, not only the daily newspaper, but any textbook, manual or book, straight onto their กSmartphoneก and read things on the move?

The saving on paper and ink would be enormous, as would the manpower, distribution resources, bookbinding for we could all read digitally, future generations will not know what a paperback is or a newspaper, unless they get saved in museums.

The race has been on for some time to preserve our modern culture in digital form, all the classic story tellers who are now in the กpublic domainก are being transposed into digital ebooks so future generations will be still able to read them. So many books have been กpulpedก in the paper mill it is still unknown how many authors works have been destroyed right to the last copy.

The race is on too, for the thousands of collectors of กfirst editionsก by popular authors, who scan every shelf at the second hand bookstore or market stall and even it seems, at the local Oxfam charity shops! The word is that the Oxfam charity in the UK took over thirteen million pounds sterling in the year 2003 just in old books donated to their stores. I find this totally incredible, but their figures don’t lie.

10 Steps to Writing an Effective Thank You Letter

10 Steps to Writing an Effective Thank You Letter

by: Robert Moment

The interview was fantastic; you know that you impressed with your perfect answers and excellent resume. You also know that, from this point on, you just have to sit back and wait for the telephone to ring with your future employer on the line, begging you to come to work. You know this, right? Very wrong. No matter how wonderful the interview or great the resume, you can never be sure that you will get the job of your dreams—anything can happen. However, one way to help shift the odds in your favor is to write a Thank You Letter. This courtesy is often ignored by job candidates; so, if you take time, future employers are likely to take notice. An effective Thank You Letter can push you closer toward your career goal. The Thank You Letter should always sell your skills and how they will help your future employer.

To write the proper Thank You Letter, follow these simple but effective tips:

1. Keep It Short

A typical Thank You Letter is one page in length; this allows you to make your point without going on too long. Remember that most employers do not have the time to read page after page of gratitude. Show that you understand by keeping your letter short. You show courtesy in two ways.

2. Refresh Their Memory

Refer to specific pieces of information discussed in your interview—this shows that you paid attention and can remember detail. By doing this, you can remind the employer why you are best for the job.

3. Send It Off

After your interview, begin writing your Thank You Letter. Do not wait; the employer should receive your letter within 48 hours. This shows proper respect. If too much time passes, a letter is not likely to help you. Your potential boss will probably forget you.

4. Be Professional

Your letter should be typed on plain, white paper. Do not use items like colored paper or special bonded paper. Do not send your letter through email or handwrite it. That shows a lack of respect.

5. Emphasize Everything

In your letter, be sure to reemphasize your qualifications and experiences. Remind the employers of why you truly are the best person for this position. A Thank You Letter can serve to alleviate any doubts he/she had of you during your interview if you stress your best qualities.

6. Extra Information

Make sure to save room in your letter for extra information that you may have forgotten to mention during your interview, or that the employer did not ask for. This can help reinforce you in their minds.

7. Be Original

Do not simply copy an example of a Thank You Letter and fill in the blanks; your letter must be of your own design. Otherwise, you can come across as unwilling to put effort into your projects.

8. Encourage Contact

Give your pertinent information (Email, Home Phone, Cell Phone, etc.). This will allow the employer to decide whether he/she wants to contact you or not—you give them the chance. If you do not put your information in the letter, you may very well miss an opportunity.

9. Proofread

While an employer will appreciate a Thank You Letter, he/she will not appreciate one with spelling or grammar mistakes. Before you send your letter, proofread it; and, once you have read and reread, allow someone else to do the same.

10. Close With Gratitude

Without sounding overly dramatic, make sure that you thank the employer for taking the time to interview you. Thank them in your own way.

By following these steps, you can impress your future employer and give yourself the edge against other candidates. A simple courtesy could become the deciding factor of getting that perfect job.

Your Future Profit is in the Stars

Your Future Profit is in the Stars

by: Stephen Bucaro

You don’t believe in astrology but you check your horoscope in the newspaper just for fun. Me too. But millions of people do believe in astrology and are willing to pay to know the future. This creates an opportunity for you to profit from an astrology web site.

Because the earth and other planets orbit around the Sun in the same plane, the planets appear to move through a belt in the sky called the กzodiacก. The zodiac is divided into twelve parts called กhousesก.

Astrologers believe that the angles the planets make to each other and to the Sun and Moon affect our lives. Each house influences specific areas of our lives, such as health, money, career, and relationships.

The part of the zodiac that was rising on the eastern horizon at the moment of a personกs birth is that persons sign. My sign is Virgo. Virgos are hard working and dedicated to duty. They are also selfcentered, critical, and lacking sympathy and empathy. Anyone who knows me would probably say that description fits me pretty well.

Each planet controls a particular aspect of our life. For example, Mars has an aggressive influence. If Mars were to move into Virgo, my horoscope would predict that business endeavors would be likely to succeed for me, but nervous irritability would manifest itself.

Here is how to develop your astrology web site.

Use impressive graphics to display the signs of the zodiac. Give the site an air of class and mystery.

Astrologers use special symbols to write a map of a personกs individual possibilities or difficulties in life. Provide some impressive scientific looking charts.

Provide a free daily horoscope for each sign. Word each horoscope to tempt the visitor to register to receive more detail.

กA great opportunity will make itself available to you, but a person presenting that opportunity may not be entirely truthful with you. Please login for complete details.ก

4. Provide several levels of access. To login requires a small membership fee. For a higher fee, provide access to a comprehensive analysis. For an even higher fee, provide personal consultation by email. For an even higher fee, provide telephone consultation.

Important Points

Before you get started on your astrology web site, train yourself. Read a few good books on astrology. Visit some astrology web sites.

On the front page of your Web site place a link to a disclaimer that includes: กAny predictions of future events are NOT guaranteed, they are meant only as possibilities.ก

A person seeking guidance from astrology is actually looking for consolation and reassurance in their life. Regardless of what your astrological charts predict for the individual, communicate it in a reassuring and encouraging way.

If you are creative, can write, and like people, than you can provide valuable astrological guidance to people who are willing to pay to know the future. My horoscope for you is this your future profit is in the stars.

Making The Business Case For Web Standards

Making The Business Case For Web Standards

by: Karl Groves

Through the explosive growth of the Web, companies have realized the benefit of building a strong online presence. By publishing a website to the Internet, companies are able to build their brand, market their products, support existing customers, release publicity pieces, and even take orders. Lost in the feverish pace of growth however, has been an eye on the effect that their current webbuilding practices have on the bottom line and the future of their online presence. Not only does the website content itself have an impact on the companyกs income but so does the way the site itself is created.

Building your site with a commitment to web standards and continuously testing to ensure it maintains its adherence to those standards can save your company money and even increase website related income.

What are web standards?

Web standards are, for purposes of this discussion, carefully designed sets of rules and protocols that drive webbased content throughout the Internet.

Specifically, web standards revolve around:

Structural Languages such as HTML, XHTML, XML, SMIL, SVG, MathML

Presentation Languages such as CSS, XSL

Document Object Model

ECMAScript

These web standards have been defined by the Worldwide Web Consortium (W3C) and other standards bodies to ensure the interoperability and access of documents placed on the web. Documents that follow the established standards will benefit in many ways:

Lower maintenance effort and cost

Lower cost for redesign

Improved usability and accessibility

Broader compatibility across platforms and devices

Reduced hardware demand and cost

Site wide look and feel consistency

Designing to current standards enables the site to maintain the same look and feel theme throughout the site. Standards also allow the siteกs look and feel to change rapidly with little additional load on personnel resources.

Improved usability: smaller document size loads faster

Designing to current standards means that by proxy the documents will be smaller. Because of this, the pages will load faster for the user. Download times have been shown to be a factor in website usability. A perceived delay in site presentation undermines usersก evaluation of the site. Users systematically rate slower sites as less interesting and having lower quality content. In addition they report that delays interfere with task continuity, their ability to remember the site, and use flow. Exceedingly slow sites can lead users to believe an error has occurred. Finally, users correlate site performance and security: Chronically slow sites are considered to be less secure resources for purchase. (http://www.humanfactors.com/downloads/aug03.asp)

Better crossplatform compatibility

As browser manufacturers come closer to adhering to web standards, it is becoming clearer that creating standardsbased pages can be an increasing assurance that the site will operate across multiple platforms. "Rendering fine" is a myth born of misunderstanding. Considering that 5 different rendering engines are used to surf the web using dozens of browsers (and versions of those browsers) on 3 platforms, attempting to test the site for rendering in every configuration is next to impossible. Coding to standards then, is the only practical solution for ensuring compatibility now and in the future.

Prepares for the future

"Rendering fine" on current browsers is no guarantee that a site with invalid markup will render fine in the future. Moreover, it is no guarantee that a site will render fine (or at all) in the growing number of nontraditional devices such as PDAs and cellular telephones. As browser manufacturers make further efforts to make their products adhere to standards, the point of "rendering fine" in target browsers becomes moot, anyway. Standardscompliant markup will be even more of a guarantee that it will work on all platforms than errorladen and proprietary markup.

Extensibility

Designing to the current standard means sites should be marked up using XHTML an XMLcompatible version of HMTL. Using this format will enable the company to venture into the inevitable world of XML without the need for major modifications to the site structure. XML features can be added quickly and painlessly.

Lower maintenance and easier troubleshooting

Personnel can come and go but the code they create will stay behind. If that code contains errorladen, invalid markup and "workarounds" for rendering in target browsers, it will cost the company money in personnel time to find the bad markup and make it right. "Because standards are very well documented, another person taking over some standardcompliant code can hit the ground running and will not need to become familiar with the previous developerกs coding practices." Tristan Nitot, Netscape Communications (http://devedge.netscape.com/viewsource/2003/whywebstandards)

Regardless of who does the site maintenance, designing to standards ensures shorter time spent hunting down problems. While poor rendering may very well be a buggy browser, in most cases "rendering improperly" usually means "something is wrong". Validation is one of the ways to uncover exactly what the issue is. By maintaining a standardscompliant site, you are providing yourself with insurance that if something goes awry, you will be able to more easily and quickly get to the possible cause. Simply put, if you know everything else is OK, you can focus any troubleshooting efforts on what has been changed instead of looking at what else already existed that could have caused or exacerbated the problem.

Accessibility

Designing with web standards makes accessibility an easier goal to achieve, as standards have been created with accessibility in mind.

Proper markup goes beyond "validity". Each element in (x)HTML has been created with a specified purpose, and so creating a standardscompliant site also means using the most appropriate element for the task at hand. Doing so increases accessibility. Proper markup gives alternative access devices the ability to provide context to the pageกs content.

Reduced bandwidth cost

Last, adhering to standardsbased markup can reduce the amount that a company pays for bandwidth. As stated above, adherence to standards has the effect of reducing the size of a document by up to 50% or more by some estimates. This can lead to big savings in bandwidth charges for hightraffic websites.

Standards just make sense

So what does all of this really mean? As the companyกs website becomes more important to its bottom line, standards can help position the company as a leader. Those who choose to make the commitment to quality will find a payoff that begins immediately and lasts into the future. Right now, youกll save on development of new content. In the future youกll benefit from reduced maintenance and increased agility. Standards compliance just makes sense.

The Future Of Email Newsletter

The Future Of Email Newsletter

by: Llnado Ford

What are you doing with the Spam you receive? Iกm sure you are not happy receiving it just like none between us . You have installed already a good Spam filter or you let your ISP to select your Spam and you receive it already into your กSpam mail folderก where from you can delete it easily.
But you as entrepreneur should carefully observe your feelings doing this activity because Iกm sure You have got your own newsletter or if don’t, you intend to start one in the near future.
Well at sending out your newsletter you have to count with the fact that (especially if you are using a bulk mail software) your email will land eventually in the Spam folder of your subscriber.
He will retrieve the emails in his Spam mail folder too because he is subscribed to several newsletters and he is waiting for your info but only if he is convinced that this info is of high value for his interest niche.
How actual studies are showing contrary to what some people may think newsletters still have a great future.
Since not every small marketer can allow for himself to use the กdirect to desktopก technology and very few costumers want to be bothered with flashing graphics on their desktops the majority of delivered news will still remain the กgood old email newsletterก.
So it seems you as owner of a newsletter are a winner because you will post your newsletter in the future too, but it becomes more important than ever to deliver a relevant content.
Surveys are showing that people do not read anything what seems to be waste of time.
Your newsletter must bring useful, up to date information on your market niche without to become boring at all.
What are this niche markets?
Everything what is not of general interest, and the information about it is instant deliverable.
There are no limitations. You can write about Your interests which could be gardening, pets, body building, search engine optimization, everything you love, or you feel passionate about. This because if you love your topic you will never run out of subjects, you will never loose your passion for it and your prospects will always receive with your rows the power of your enthusiasm which starts from your love. for the given topic.
But you should avoid to start newsletters about a topic you don’t love at all or do not feel any passion about it because that will give you much more headaches as money.
For a better understanding of this subject and not at last to keep this article short I suggest you to check out What Gary Halbert Americaกs #1 sale copy writer says about creating a product. Here is the link go there http://www.thegaryhalbertletter.com/ it is completely FREE and read the newsletter titled กHow to get a product to sell if you don’t have one already and how to get it for nothingก
You can find another great collection of ideas if you go to http://marketingadvices.com/newebooks.html and check out the ebook Creative Product Creation.
So as final conclusion: If you still don’t have your own newsletter or want to start one more be careful what you choose to be your topic. Finally you want people to read your newsletter want to build a huge list and want to think in very long terms by publishing your newsletter.

Laser Printers Play Detective

Laser Printers Play Detective

by: The Digital Room Moderator

Technology has yet to reach its full potential and still, there is a promising future in fighting against crimes with the use of printers alone. With the unlimited possibility of the capabilities of every technology available on earth, laser printers are not logging behind. The future promises that laser printers can fight crimes. And it is a big possibility with the on going research in Purdue University.

This is a very big development on the laser printing industry in relation to a more precise method of tracking every document printers produce. It is not surprising that with the speed by which printers are improving, you can imagine that in the future, you will be able to print a driver’s license at home. Although it immensely reduces the time you spend in line waiting for your license at the DMV, one might start questioning the validity of such documents. How would the research resolve this?

With on going research, I am still impressed to know that every printing technology has the capacity to give identification. Although it may not be obvious, as was said, laser printers leave specific markings on each document they print. This is what they call the bonding process. The article also states that Purdueกs School of Electrical and Computer Engineering has pioneered a tracking system that uses banding to trace a document back to the printer from which it originated.

I look forward to this development and acclaim the people behind the research who will make this possible. I am also dreaming of having a faster acquisition of my documents but still I would not want to compromise my safety in exchange of it.

Planning For Your Websiteกs Future Get Search Engine Traffic

by: Heshy Shayovitz

Five tips to effectively schedule your content.

In order to get traffic on your site you need content. Itกs that simple the more content you have the longer visitors stay at your site and the more free search engine visitors you receive. So should you just find out what content your visitors like and publish it? No!

Try to get as much content as you can, then schedule it. PHPNuke and other CMSes offer you an option to กprogramก a story to appear in the future. So it doesn’t matter when you write it, it matters when you publish it.

Here are five tips on how to schedule your articles most effectively:

Seasonal If you have articles that is more effective in a season or near a holiday. Then schedule it around that landmark so it will be more pertinent to visitors.

Correspond it to your site events if your site is launching a new service or product keep articles about the product to coincide with your launch.

Maintain a consistent schedule If you adopt a frequent schedule then your visitors will visit you more often. Google likes this to and they will send their FreshBot to visit your site often if you have consistently new content. The more frequently you get visited the more free search engine visitors youกll cultivate especially for timely topics.

Don’t overload on one topic Schedule your articles so that you do not display too many stories about the same topic in one period. While some of your visitors may love it, other may not be interested in that topic and may decide not to come back.

Tease your visitors. Show your visitors whatกs coming in the future so they are encouraged to come back. For example MetOpen offers an upcoming articles section so visitors can see what we are offering in the future. Users of PHPNuke can download MetOpenกs free Met Future Articles module.

How to Print Your Marketing Postcards For A Penny,

How to Print Your Marketing Postcards For A Penny, Address Them For Free, and Automate the Whole Process

by: Jason Van Orden

This article will show you how to cut your printing costs to a penny and have your postcards addressed for free without doing it all yourself, reducing the time you invest in your mailing to almost nothing.
So, you have a list of hot prospects in hand; you need a way to get your marketing message in front of them with the hope that a reasonable percentage will call you. You decide that you want to send a postcard to each prospect.
You open the yellow pages and randomly select a printer.
After explaining what you want, she gives you a quote of eleven cents per postcard. That seems like more than you wanted to spend, so you call a few more printers. Several phone calls later, you finally get a quote that meets your budgetsix cents each.
A week later you have the postcards in hand. You sit down with your list on one side and a pile of hundreds of postcards on the other side (if you aren’t sending at least hundreds at a time, don’t expect much of a response). You pop a couple of your favorite DVDs into the disc changer and settle in for an evening of addressing your postcards.
You finish the first and cross it off your list. After scribbling through the first fifty, you look at the clock and realize this is taking much longer than expected. All the same, you are determined so you continue.
Two movies, two pens, and one bandaid later (for that pesky papercut), you finally reach the end. The smile that cracks on your face is broken by the thought that you still need to stamp them. One movie, one sponge, and hundreds of stamps later, you really reach the end.
Despite the feeling of accomplishment, you can’t help feeling dread at the thought of going through the process again in two weeks when you mail to the list again (if you are not following up with your prospects multiple times, again, you are wasting your time). There must be a better way.
Does this scenario sound familiar? If so, then keep reading. I am about to show you how you can change that. You will be able to quickly setup multiple mailings in advance, sit back, and just wait for them to go out on the specified date.
For those who haven’t yet experienced preparing your mailings by hand, feel free to try it for yourself once and then we’ll see you back here in a couple weeks when you are ready to appreciate what I am about to share.
Leveraging Your Time Effectively
Time is as precious as your cash flow and it should be leveraged just as carefully. Developing efficient systems and automating repetitive tasks is essential to your success as a business. When it comes to postcards and other similar mailings, the United States Postal Service has taken care of this for you. The postcard mailing system I am about to share with you is based on a service available online at:
http://www.usps.com/mailingonline
The first time you visit the Mailing Online web page, you will need to click on the SignUp button. Signing up for a personal account allows you to save postcards and mailing lists so that you can easily reuse them in the future. Now let’s talk about some of the benefits that this service has to offer.
A Penny per Postcard for Printing
Normal postage for a postcard is twentythree cents. The cost of mailing out a postcard through Mailing Online is twentyfour cents. This is like getting your postcards printed for a penny each and addressed for free.
Avoid Numerous Steps and Saves Hours of Your Time
Avoid picking up your cards from the printer, addressing and stamping them by hand, and delivering them to the post office for mailing. The money saved is significant and the time saved is huge.
Use ReadyMade Templates to Create Your Mailing Pieces
Mailing Online provides templates for you download and open in several popular applications such as Microsoft Word. This makes designing you postcard easy. Then you upload the postcard to Mailing Online to use in your mailing campaign.
Easily Upload Your Mailing List
Mailing Online allows you to easily upload your mailing list from several different file formats including Excel and MS Word.
Verify Your Addresses against Official Post Office Records
Mailing Online will automatically check you mailing list against official post office records. You will be told if any of your addresses do not match. Then you can decide whether to eliminate these addresses so that you don’t waste money on invalid addresses.
Choose from Several Mailing Formats
You can also choose to mail a variety of other mailing pieces including brochures, letters, and selfmailer flyers. Mailing Online provides the templates you need to create these mailers. However, I suggest using this service primarily for postcards. I have not tried their flyers, I think brochures are pointless, and I imagine their letters are labeladdressed which is puts your mailer in the junk pile as soon as is seen by your prospect.
Saving Mailing Lists, Postcards, and Mailing Campaigns for Future Use
You can save your lists and postcards to be easily reused for future campaigns without uploading them again.
Schedule Mailing Campaigns to Go Out at a Future Date
You can pick a date in the future for you mailer to go out. You could even set up an entire sequence to go out on autopilot. For example, you could schedule a postcard to go out right away, another one in 10 days, and another in a month. This allows you easily followup with your prospects.
Your Postcard is Only as Good as the Marketing Message it Delivers
Without getting into a discussion on copywriting, I want to make the following points about your postcard design:
1. Your postcard will only be as good as your marketing message. You have about two seconds to attract the reader’s attention before your postcard ends up in the garbage. The best way to accomplish this is with a wellwritten headline.
2. Don’t waste a lot of space on your logo or other fancy graphics. Don’t waste a lot of space on your company’s name or your contact info. Focus on telling the reader what you have that can benefit them.
3. Make sure you make it clear what you want the prospect to do next. Most likely this will be to call you or a message hotline.
4. Since postcard space is limited, just share the most important aspects of your marketing message. Tell the reader how they can get more info if they are interested by sending them to a web site or by asking them to call you to receive more information (i.e. the rest of your marketing message). This is called twostep marketing.

The Search Engine of the Future: Mobility Has a Pr

The Search Engine of the Future: Mobility Has a Pricetag

by: Chris Palau

We all know the ease of using a search engine to garner information from around the world in microseconds. Weกve gotten accustomed to accessing these for the price of our hookup to the internet, be it dialup, cable or wireless. But as more of our world connects via wireless media, what is included in our กfree lookก may be changing.

Mobile phones are taking over the world. There will be 1.7 billion wireless subscribers by 2006 according to Strategy Analytics. Interestingly, among the socalled กfirst worldก countries, Europe has the most wireless customers and the United States the fewest. Not even in consideration is China and her billionsyet! Your company webmaster might be advised to take a closer look at feebased advertising, because there is likely to be extreme competition for the key slots in any search result in the very near future.

In many parts of the world, a fixed line telephone is still a luxury. That is not the case with mobile phones, which are getting cheaper by the day. Add to this, access to the world wide web from a PC requires a great deal of hardware, most of which is costly. Conversely, access from a cell phone can be facilitated by a variety of different technologies and the target market for your company will soon be available to the tiniest of villages in the remotest part of the globe! The only constraint will be whether your website is correctly positioned on the webกs search engines.

This is a fascinating time for increased communication, but you must seen to be heard. That is not as odd a statement as it sounds. As access to the search engines from cell phones, PDAกs, car telematics, and pagers continues to increase, so will competition heat up for the key spots on search engine listings. Your company must target the parameters of the search engines to gain the advantageous top spots or it will be ignored. Or, you must pay for the privilege of the ‘top dogก slot.

Facts are that portables are being used for everything and that the young are the most plugged in of the age groups. They will talk and drive. They will text message and drive! They are strung with ear pieces and voice activated microphones and can barely get through a meal without being in communication with someone elsewhere than at the dinner table. In the very few years that it takes them to grow into your boardroom executives, they will have determined your future. Cater to them and you shall be richbut they must know you are there.

Things change quickly. When text messaging and ads first started coming to cell phones, the response rate was stupendous. All you had to do was offer a poll, a free chance on something or even a free newsletter on an interactive screen and your response rate was as much as 11%! That is down to 2% if you have a really good offer. And the spam cops are out there, ready to close you down if you are not thoroughly permissionbased. Likely, search engines will have to change to accommodate the every increasing need for information from an increasing mass of people. The competition will be fierce. Your ideas, products and services must be piercingly targeted for your customer or your message will never be heard.

They’ve been stressed out and tired, their health has suffered, they’ve worked countless hours away from their family, yet they find themselves in mundane jobs with no scope, no recognition, living payday to payday with no further desire to succeed and no seemingly possible way out.

This article is geared towards those of you who’ve reached that point and find yourselves at a loss in terms of the next step. Perhaps you’ve already invested in a few opportunities that haven’t worked out but your determination keeps you going. If you have some long term financial goals and an unshakeable will to succeed then this article is for YOU.

Ever wish you’d had the foresight to recognise an opportunity that would set you up for a stressfree future, abundant in time and money?

Do you know that the bigger the (calculated) risk the bigger the reward yet find yourself justifying why not to take a risk?

Want more out of life but emotionally and/or financially cannot leave your 9 to 5 job?

Always thought you were meant for bigger things but never been able to find ‘that thing’?

Ever found yourself in a job and wondered quite how you got there because it ‘just wasn’t you’?

Want your own business but feel you lack the skills to get started on your own and don’t have time to study for a new career?

First thing’s first….YOU ARE NOT ALONE! There are tens of millions of people out there who are dissatisfied with their job, their financial situation and the path their life has taken. In fact, 80% of people employed in fulltime work, hate their jobs!

Whether you answered yes to one or all of the above questions, consider for a moment that MultiLevelMarketing is for you. Let’s look at the potential:

Foresight: Perhaps you lack the foresight to identify an opportunity. Many of us do. But what if someone told you that a business in MultiLevelMarketing was the way of the future, with unlimited earning potential, freedom to choose your own working hours and a lifestyle you’ve only dreamed about. Would you have the faith to believe them…or would you continue to rely on your own foresight even though it’s yet to come up with anything worthwhile, if at all? (Recommended reading: The Business School For People Who Like Helping People, Robert Kyosaki)

Risk: Many people fear risk because they lack the ability to see the potential of taking a risk. Others are fully aware that taking a risk can lead to success, yet they set limits on the level of risk they’re prepared to take, so they risk nothing at all. Whether your concern is taking a risk in the area of finances, time or your ability to succeed, MultiLevelMarketing allows you to choose your level of commitment whilst providing ongoing support and guidance to ensure that whatever risk you take, brings you the rewards you seek. MLM allows you to take calculated risks yet the RisktoReward ratio can be HUGE, so long as you have vision and determination to succeed.

Can’t leave your 9 to 5 job? The great news is, you don’t have to! Whether it’s because you can’t afford it due to finances or fear of failure, you can start your own MLM business working from home around your current schedule and not only does this allow you to maintain a level of income to which you’ve become accustomed whilst building your second income, but it also allows you to build your emotional strength and your skillset before you consider moving into your MLM business fulltime.

Meant for bigger things: Perhaps you’ve felt you were worth more than a fulltime corporate job where recognition for your hard work was passed on to those above but maybe you doubted your ability to start up your own business. Or maybe you wanted to start up your own business but didn’t quite know what you wanted to do or if you did, you lacked the capital to invest. The beauty of MLM is that it’s a marketing system used by many different types of businesses so, if MLM’s where you want to go, you need only choose a business and an industry that excites you and the potential for your future suddenly explodes!

Your current job just isn’t you: Whatever it is you dislike about your current job, whether it’s lack of people contact, too much people contact, lack of support and scope for the future, guaranteed there will be a MLM business out there to suit you that is going to give you exactly what you want

Lacking in skill and don’t want to study: The truly amazing thing about MLM, and what makes it perfect for so many people, is that you have your own Personal Mentor. This is a person who started just where you did so they’ve been there before and will have understanding and compassion for how you feel as you embark on this exciting journey. Their role is to teach you the skills necessary to run your own MLM business – skills you can acquire around your fulltime job so there’s no need to leave work in order to pursue study. Your mentor offers invaluable experience and expertise, they provide support and inspiration through both the difficult and exciting times and they ensure that you are justly rewarded for your achievements. Ultimately they can become a close and trusted friend and a business relationship built on this is destined to success.

So, if this leaves you feeling inspired and interested in looking into MLM, here are a few important things for you to remember in your search for a business:

The difference between MLM and pyramid schemes of old is that pyramid schemes are illegal and multilevelmarketing is NOT. It is important to know this when people challenge your decision to pursue a MLM business.

When investigating a MLM business, look for one that allows you to advertise. Many people won’t even consider a MLM business because they don’t want to ‘sell to their friends’ and unfortunately many MLM businesses require you to do just that, and only that, because they don’t allow business owners to advertise. Being unable to advertise also means your scope for business growth is limited.

Make sure the business resides in an industry which has massive growth potential. Whether you’re looking for a small supplemental income or a lifestyle change, investing in a growing industry means you’ll have the choice, either way.

Make sure the company is reputable and stable. Do your research and know the history of the company you’re signing into.

Be open to investigating a MLM business in much the same way you would any business opportunity. Don’t expect it to be explained to you in a 5 minute phone conversation and be willing to view an information package before you make a decision on the viability of the business.

Make sure the business system is simple and duplicable – if you want to build your business, you need to be able to teach it to others.
