Building an Email Marketing List

Building an Email Marketing List

by: Megan Corwin

Thereกs a marketing estimate that it takes something like seven contacts with a potential client before they purchase. Email is a wonderful way to handle these contacts for a variety of reasons:

you can send one message to a large number of people

compared to traditional hard copy marketing it can be a lot less expensive

if you use a list management system you can get instant results like how many people opened the email and how many กclick throughsก there were to the links in the email

The most important part of an email campaign is having a list of qualified email addresses to send your marketing piece.

So just how are you supposed to get those email addresses? The best method is to have a sign up form on your website to capture the visitorกs information. Here are some DOs and DON’ts for creating a list for your online business.

DO:

Offer an incentive for them to give their email address. People usually won’t give away their personal information unless they get something in return. Ideas for incentives include: a free report or guide, entry into a contest, product demo or samples, a complimentary consultation, etc.

Provide valuable content in your communications. Offer tips and advice for the customer along side your marketing message to keep it from being too กsalesy.ก

Ask for valuable marketing data on the signup form. Pick only one or two things to keep the registration process short and easy. What data could really help you with your marketing? Knowing their gender, age, location, interests?

DON’t:

Sell or give away your list.

Fill up their inbox with messages. Keep to a monthly or weekly schedule at most.

Bog your message down with lots of advertising. It will quickly be deleted.

It can take time and effort to build your internet marketing list, but the results will be well worth it.

Winning Strategies With Traffic Exchange Programs

Winning Strategies With Traffic Exchange Programs

by: Paul Penafiel

Everyone knows what traffic exchange programs are and how their popularity have exploded within the last year. Some of you may have built a massive downline and accumulated hundreds of thousands of free high quality traffic credits sitting in your account, and you don’t know what to do with them?

Luckily for you, Iกve had some free time to interview some top traffic exchange affiliates and program owners and asked them what to do with your free credits?

Here are some of their recommendations. This strategy will only work with traffic exchange that allows you to transfer credits to other members.

Give them to your downline to motivate them to remain active within your organization.

If you run an ezine or newsletter, you can give it away as a contest prize or as a bonus for new subscribers. This will attract a new kind of subscribers which will create a diversity of readers to your newsletter.

Sell it at a discount. Although this strategy will not be popular with program owners and this action might cause your membership to be terminated, so be careful. I don’t recommend it myself.

Package it with either your own products/services or another affiliated programs to entice buyers, thus adding value.

Give it away as a gift or as a token of your appreciation to someone that helped you online. Who knows, that person could be a heavy hitter, besides, whoกs going to turn down a free traffic.

You can barter it. For example in exchange for 500 hits, you could have your signature lines added to someoneกs ad campaign using a safelist submission service or software such as Safelist Boys on a weekly basis.

You can exchange your free credits with members from a different traffic exchange program, thus leveraging your time. For example, you can trade your 2,000 Webmasterquest credits with 2,000 Trafficswarm credits. You can find potentialtrade partners at forums and discussions groups.

Give it away to expand your downline in your favorite traffic exchange program. For example, you can entice your prospect by adding an additional 500 credits on top of their signing bonus when they sign up.

There you have it, there are so many ways you can exchange or giveaway your outstanding traffic exchange credits that you have never thought of before. Take full advantage of them while they last, especially if you are in the receiving end, they will save you alot of time from hours of surfing.

Aren’t internet marketing fun?

10 HighImpact Viral Marketing Strategies

10 HighImpact Viral Marketing Strategies

by: Keith Gloster

The term กviral marketingก has been tossed around the Internet for the past two or three years now. If youกve been marketing online for a while, chances are that youกve heard legendary marketers like Mark Joyner, Marlon Sanders and Yanik Silver refer to this term countless times.

But do you REALLY understand what this marketing term means and how it can greatly impact the success of your online business?

If not, hereกs a brief definition:

Viral marketing involves allowing people to give away and use your free product or service in order to multiply your marketing quickly over the Internet.

The idea behind viral marketing is that you include your ad with the freebie people give away or use. Below are ten high impact viral marketing strategies:

Allow people to reprint your articles on their web site, in their ezine, newsletter, magazine or ebooks. Include your resource box and the option for article reprints at the bottom of each article.

Allow people to use any of your freebies as free bonuses for products or services they sell. Include your ad inside all of your freebies.

Allow people to use your online discussion board for their own web site. Some people don’t have one. Just include your banner ad at the top of the board.

Allow people to sign up for a free web site on your server. Since you are giving away the space, require them to include your banner ad at the top of the site.

Allow people to add their link to your free web site directory. Just require that they return a link back to your web site, advertising your directory.

Allow people to provide your free online service to their web site, visitors, or ezine subscribers. They could be free email, email consulting, search engine submissions, etc.

Allow people to give away your free software. Just include your business advertisement inside the software program.

Allow people to give away your free web design graphics, fonts, templates, etc. Just include your ad on them or require people to link directly to your web site.

Allow people to place an advertisement in your free ebook if, in exchange, they give away the ebook to their web visitors or ezine subscribers.

Allow people to give away your free ebook to their visitors. Then, their visitors will also give it away. This will just continue to spread your ad all over the Internet.

Now that you have a better understanding of viral marketing and the above 10 strategies, whatกs next? Start experimenting with what youกve discovered. Use one or more of these proven strategies. Brand yourself and grow your list and income exponentially.

The Power Of Giving.

The Power Of Giving.

by: Jamie Ritchie

1. Why give away what you could sell?

Thatกs a fair enough sort of question. If you write an ebook or report then surely you should be paid for your sharing your knowledge with others.

But if you put a price on your work, especially if you are not yet recognized as an expert in your field, you will probably find your work being overlooked.

Why not make it freely available to anyone who might be interested in your topic of expertise & promote yourself in the resource box you put at the bottom of your report.

Allow it to be reprinted as long as your resource box is included.

2. What do you give away?

Take a look around your website. What is your expertise? Use your knowledge to create an article or report you know your clients would love.

Write a กHow toก article or ก5 steps toก article. As long what you give away helps or solves a problem for someone, it will help you to get established in your field.

An Ebook can be a great way to send a message. Ebooks don’t have to be 4 or 500 pages long. It can be as short as 5, itกs up to you. Make it long enough to say what you need without filling it with a load of waffle. Don’t forget to promote yourself with a resource box somewhere in your work.

3. Where do you give it away?

Start a newsletter & write your own articles for it. To have fresh original content is the best way to build a subscriber base.

Post your articles on your own website for your guests to read. As you write more articles keep adding them as fresh content to keep your guests returning.

There are many websites you can list your work on. Webmasters who are searching for content for their own site will use your work in exchange for your resource box being left at the bottom of the work.

4. Putting it all together.

Write an article or report. Sign it with a resource box. Use it in your newsletter, your website & let others use it as well.

Every web site it appears on will link back to your own site. If readers like what they read they will follow the link to your site. These same links will also help your search engine rankings & increase the popularity if your site.

The more you write & the better you get will only see more people following your links to your site. That in turn exposes your products to more & more people, which in turn means more & more sales.

That My Friends Is The power Of Giving!

5 Little Known Ways To Generate Free Traffic

5 Little Known Ways To Generate Free Traffic

by: Jo Han Mok

Most people have the notion that generating traffic is a oneoff event, and it involves spending huge sums of money on advertising.

Nothing can be further from the truth.

First of all, itกs possible to open up streams of autopilot traffic geometrically, surely and steadily over time.

Secondly, it costs next to nothing to do it, if you know how.

Here are 5 instantly implementable methods to open up new traffic streams without needing to spend a dime.

Free Traffic Method #1: Contribute Content

Writing an ebook is a time consuming and arduous task. In comparison, writing a chapter of rock solid content is much easier and more achievable.

Iกve personally been invited to contribute content to many peopleกs infoproducts, usually in the form of กchaptersก, and this has resulted in a lots of quality traffic that is not only free, but presold.

While I understand that a person who is little known might not receive invitations to contribute, one can always solicit permission for your content to be included by publishers.

Itกs all a phone call and email away, and if your content is good and your approach is right, a rejection is unlikely, and even if it happens, itกs not gonna kill you, so just tell yourself กnextก and move on.

Free Traffic Method #2: Give away Free viral Reports

Put your best content into reports and give it away.

Articles are great, but when you package them as Portable Document Files, there is a greater กperceived valueก.

Give away free reports. Allow people to give away your free report to their visitors. Then, their visitors will also give it away. This will just continue to spread your ad all over the internet.

Obviously, your reports will have to be กviralก in order for that to happen.

The best way to make your reports viral, is to include a monetary incentive.

The links within the reports can be made brandable, and itกll be to your advantage to find some sort of multitier affiliate program that will increase your earnings exponentially, because you make money when the person giving away your reports makes money.

Itกs a win win situation, and also allows you to use these magic words กmake money by giving this report awayก.

Free Traffic Method #3: Help Other Publishers

It may surprise you, but your own website visitors may be info publishers as well.

Help them help you by using these magic words, กUse Our Free Content On Your Site Or In Your Ezineก Allow your visitors to use your articles on their own web site or in their ezine. Just ask them to include your resource box. This will spread your advertising like wildfire all over the internet.

Free Traffic Method #4: Offer Testimonials

If you’re reading this article, chances are you’re an infojunkie. If youกve bought lots of info products, why not offer an unsolicited testimonial to the infoproduct creator?

Simply include your URL under your name when giving the testimonial, and if itกs used, youกll have additional exposure, and traffic.

Obviously, youกd only give a testimonial to a product that you think has value and is good, and not endorse anything or everything under the sun.

Testimonials can bring you traffic and top of the mind awareness, so don’t underestimate the use of something as simple as this.

Free Traffic Method #5: Syndicate Your Content

A word of caution: don’t use JavaScript. Why not? Because search engines don’t กseeก JavaScript, so JavaScript feeds are useless for SEO. To make newsfeeds visible to search engines, their text has to be embedded into your page.

FACT: If you view the source of your page and you don’t see the actual text of the newsfeed, then search engines aren’t going to see it either.

Intead, do try using Real Simple syndication, or RSS. Itกs the buzzword on the Internet. RSS is a lightweight XML format designed for sharing things like news headlines and other web page content.

You have a variety of opportunities for increasing traffic to your website. Publishing your own feed is a great way to cut through all the noise and clutter and get your message directly to your target market. On the other end of the spectrum, importing feeds from other sites or even other parts of your own site and displaying them on your webpages can increase your search engine rankings by automatically keeping your website full of fresh, relevant information

If you’re a little lazy and not too motivated, youกll be glad to know that regardless of what topic or subject matter youกve built your website around, thereกs valuable content out there… articles and information written by an กexpertก in that particular field.

Because a large portion of it is available through the magic of RSS feed capability YOU don’t have to create the content yourself! Yes, you can profit from other peopleกs content.

There you have it, 5 easy ways to start getting free traffic fast.

Now, go get it!

Easy eBook Ideas

Easy eBook Ideas

by: Dan Grossman

Everybody should love eBooks. You can give them away in order to promote your site, increase subscribers to your newsletter, or just as a free gift. You can write about something people want to know and sell them for a profit. There are a great many eBooks available out there for you to distribute or to purchase resell rights to, but that doesn’t compare to having an eBook of your own.
The problem is that most site owners don’t have the time or the patience to write their own eBook. Some start and think they don’t have the writing skills to create something theyกd want to share with others. So why not use some of the content you already have to create an eBook?
MAKE YOUR WEBSITE INTO AN EBOOK!
Especially if your site contains lots of useful information and reference material for others, this can be a great gift to give away to your visitors. Turn your entire website into an eBook and allow people to browse your site offline, or simply read through many articles without having to load them from your site. You can also place static advertising in the book on pages related to the ads.
Considering everyone can visit your site online, this isn’t something you can sell, but itกs a good gift to give away. This is a great way to brand your site! Every time someone opens up your eBook, they remember your site and because they have something thatกs going to last longer than the time they spend on your site online, it keeps your site in their minds a bit more. When they read through the eBook, you’re likely to get repeat traffic as they return to your website to revisit and see whatกs new.
If you have especially long articles, tutorials or other content on the site, you could make individual eBooks for each and link to them from their corresponding webpages. Let your visitors finish reading when they have time, while still building your brand and reminding them of your website. If itกs something theyกll be referencing a lot (such as a howto guide), theyกll thank you for it.
MAKE YOUR EZINE INTO AN EBOOK!
If youกve been publishing for a long time, you probably have hundreds of pages of content (whether you realize it or not) which can easily be made into an eBook. There are several uses for this eBook and several benefits to making one.
Your eBook can be used as a giveaway to subscribers in order to increase new signups. Increase the effectiveness of your signup forms with text like
"Get access to our backissues archive! Subscribers can download it as a free eBook and browse hundreds of pages of useful hints, tips, and tricks!"
This should increase your subscription rate if you’re not already giving something away. If you are, your new eBook will make a great addition. You can also give it away to your existing subscribers as a gift; this should please many of them, keeping more of them as longterm subscribers.
If your eZine is topquality with useful information in it each issue, you can sell your backissues as an eBook. Assuming your eZine is a focused topic, you may have covered enough to advertise it as a "howto" guide. Just order the issues in terms of what they will teach the customer once they buy it. If your eZine is only available as a paid subscription, this can be a bonus you give away to your paying customers.

How To Get Free Stuff From The Internet!

How To Get Free Stuff From The Internet!

by: Jonathan White

Have you ever wondered how many free things you can get from the Internet? If you take a step back and looked at the situation you will realise that you can get thousands of free stuff from the Internet. These freebies can be things like free pens, free scripts, free web hosting, free memberships and subscriptions to some online sites and even free cash.

So now you know that there are lots of free stuff that you can obtain from the Internet, the only thing that you are probably thinking now is ขwhere’s the best place to find all of these freebies.ข

Well, truthfully there are many places across the Web where you can find freebies. The best places are probably specialty directories that offer free stuff. These are normally large categorized directories that contain and list a large amount of freebies that are offered by many different websites/ businesses across the World Wide Web. For example, http://www.1freebieseeking.com is a large categorized directory that offers free stuff.

So your question now is probably, ขwhy do so many businesses give away free stuff and why are there so many of them doing this?ข There are many reasons why businesses give away free stuff. One of the main reasons why businesses give away free stuff is so that they can promote their business. When these businesses give away free things, they normally imprint their business details on the free stuff. This is so they can promote their business, which will in return give their business more exposure not only from the World Wide Web, but also from the offline world.

Other than finding free stuff from using free stuff directories, you can also find free stuff from using other sites on the Web. These include individual sites that offer free stuff, but also offer other services other than free stuff. For example, you can get free reprint able articles from http://www.simplysearch4it.com/article/articledir.php where you can use them on your site for free.

About The Author

Jonathan White has been involved in Free Stuff on the Web for over one year now and is the Webmaster of http://www.1freebieseeking.com a categorized free stuff directory listing well over 1000 freebies.
