Blog Revenue Ideas

Blog Revenue Ideas

by: Jonni Good

Are you lookin for ways to add revenue to your blog, instead of (or in addition to) AdSense ads from Google? Here are two suggestions.

The first service is called BlogAds ( http://www.blogads.com/publisher_html ) They offer 20% of the ad fee to the blogger. Even better, it looks like they love blogs, and are willing to help make their partners successful.

The second service is called rssads ( http://www.rssads.com/ ). This service isn’t up and running yet, but they have their sales site up. They will be selling ads that appear in the body of a partnerกs RSS feed (your blog posts). The entire post will appear in your subscriberกs news reader program, instead of a short paragraph. This would make sure that the ads get in front of your readers, but Iกm wondering if the reader will be as excited about it as they are. It will be interesting to see if this one flies.

Another option that website owners use (and it would work for bloggers as well), is selling text ads. In this system, you don’t have a script on your page that serves ads from Google or wherever. Instead, the ad buyer comes to you and offers to buy space for a text link. You can set this up yourself, with a subscription payment handled by PayPal.com.

ขSuper Verbsข Really Move Your Copy

ขSuper Verbsข Really Move Your Copy

by: Karon Thackston

Run or hustle? Eat or devour? Move or scurry? You can boost the power of your copy by boosting the quality of verbs you use. Verbs show action, and the way you describe that action can have a dramatic bearing on your readers. Why would you want to fill your copy with complacent words when you can conjure emotions and visual imagery in the hearts and minds of your readers? Sure, กrunก and กhustleก both indicate that someone is moving fast. But กrunก is a dull, ordinary verb while กhustleก evokes definite images in your readerกs mind.

Hadn’t really thought about it? You should! You can choose commonplace verbs like ‘talk,ก กmake,ก and กlike,ก or you can electrify your copy instead with verbs like กchatter,ก กdiscover,ก and กadore.ก

Look at these examples to see what I mean:

Before

Down Comforters Let You Get Warm

When itกs cold outside, get into bed and warm up with our genuine goose down comforters. Thereกs no reason to be cold when you can heat things up instead!

After

Down Comforters Let You Snuggle

When itกs cold outside, leap into bed and burrow down with our genuine goose down comforters. Thereกs no reason to shiver when you can snuggle instead!

See the difference? The latter paints a more vivid picture of the comforter than the former.

Review this one…

Before

Whether you’re doing aerobics, Pilates, or any other workout, Ziox sneakers will give you the support you need. Specifically made for indoor low and highimpact exercise, Ziox is created to keep you on the path to meeting your fitness goals.

After

Whether you’re performing an aerobic, Pilates, or other workout, Ziox sneakers will offer you the support you need. Specifically engineered for indoor low and highimpact exercise, Ziox is designed to keep you on the path to accomplishing your fitness goals.

What’s the difference? Why are the ขaftersข so much more powerful than the ขbeforesข? Because compelling verbs were used. Verbs bring the action to your copy. They give the reader (or at least they should give the reader) something to envision. You need Super Verbs to entice your readers. For example, instead of just ขget into bed,ข we say, ขleap into bed.ข Instead of กbeing coldก and กheat things upก we say, กshiveringก and กsnuggle.ก When you read that, you begin to envision what action is taking place in a very specific way.

Where do you find these Super Verbs? Everywhere you look! Here’s a short list. You can also visit free sites like http://www.thesaurus.com for more.

Verbs vs. Super Verbs

Accent – emphasize, underscore

Break – smash, crush, demolish

Eat – consume, devour, feast

Forgive – pardon, excuse, overlook

Hate – detest, loathe, despise

Imagine – envision, conjure, conceptualize

Improve – enhance, refine, perfect

Jump – leap, lunge, bound

Learn – discover, grasp, comprehend

Like – admire, adore, cherish, delight in

Make – create, engineer, design

Promise – vow, swear

Reveal – manifest, unveil, disclose

Take some time to go beyond the ordinary. Find a few Super Verbs to use in your copy in order to boost excitement and interest in the products/services you write about. That added attention, which Super Verbs bring, can easily correlate to additional sales.

Your EBusiness Strategy: Is It Love … Or Fear?

Your EBusiness Strategy: Is It Love … Or Fear?

by: Steve Shaw

I read recently that every human thought originates from either love or fear. The more I thought about it, the more true it became. I began to apply it to business after all, every business success or failure originates ultimately from human thought. This article examines the effects that love or fear can have on your ebusiness is it love, or is it fear, that dominates the way you do business online?

If itกs fear, you fear you’re missing the กone big thingก, and so you attempt to try absolutely everything in case thatกs the thing you’re missing. You read every email that comes in promising business success, and attempt to follow what they suggest.

The only problem is you are attempting to follow several strategies at once, but thereกs only one of you and not enough hours in the day. You end up barely touching the surface of each strategy, and you become disillusioned and despondent. You tell everyone who will listen that everything you have tried simply doesn’t work, and that the Internet is a moneymaking myth.

You are constantly fearful of your competition. You worry they are doing more business than you, that their offer is better than yours, that they will drive you out of business. You try to copy them, and emulate their style, but somehow it just doesn’t work and your heart isn’t in it. You feel like you’re always following some way behind, rather than out in front, leading the pack.

You have no idea where your sales are coming from, and when you have a couple of กdry daysก with no sales at all, you’re panic stricken, and all you can think about is business failure. Youกve been running your business blind, you have no idea whatกs been working well and what hasn’t, so you have no foundation on which to base your decision making, and no faith that what you are doing is working.

You begin to feel unfulfilled, overworked, overstressed, and you can feel yourself burning out. The motivation for your business begins to disappear, and you soon end up with no business.

Instead, if itกs love, you concentrate on Strategy A fully, before even considering B or C. You do your homework first you read all the literature, you know itกs been very successful for many people, and you believe you can do it too. You studiously, deliberately and methodically follow the strategy. Rather than diluting your energy by pouring it into many different moulds, you pour all of it into this one, persistently and with considerable dedication.

You don’t see much happening at first, but you still have faith, and you reexamine the strategy to ensure you are maximizing the possible outcome. Over time, you begin to see the positive results. This reinforces your energy and motivation, and increases the beneficial effects you experience.

You tell everyone who will listen how well it works for you others try it too, and begin to see positive results for their own businesses.

You look for ways in which you can work with your competition for mutual benefit. You think about a JV, and approach your competition with it, even ensuring that the benefits for them outweigh your own. Your competition can see how much benefit your proposal could be for both parties and agree to it. The end result is a highly positive outcome for both sides, and you agree to work more closely together in future.

You concentrate on your own USP, and inject your business with a sense of your own style, confidence, and overall business strategy. You see others beginning to emulate you, which you take as a token of admiration, boosting your selfesteem, and thereby further improving the way you do business. You find yourself leading the marketplace.

You have a couple of dry days, but you know that occasionally this happens for whatever reason, that your targeted traffic comes from multiple sources, which show excellent conversion rates. Instead of fearing business failure, you quickly check everything is okay with your merchant account or payment processor and check your site is functioning normally, and you know sales will pick up normally again very soon. You concentrate your energies instead into new avenues of promotion.

Instead of running your business on fear, and consequently witnessing it shrivelling up and dying, you run it on love you have a passion for what you do, you always take positive action, and the more successful you become, the more it fires that passion.

Your business expands and becomes more successful. And the positive energy from your own business begins to rub off on others.

Can you see how a simple change in approach could transform your business?

The Biggest Mistakes That Can Spell Doom For You A

The Biggest Mistakes That Can Spell Doom For You As A Newsletter Publisher And How To Avoid Them

by: Ron Pioneer

A lot of newsletter publishers spend a great deal of time wondering why they are not making money with their newsletters. Most of them expect to make so much money on getting started but they become disappointed with poor results.

The reasons are not farfetched. They are making the biggest mistakes that can only guarantee failure.

It is important therefore for you to know what these mistakes are so that you can avoid them. One famous writer once said, ‘those who don’t know the mistakes of people who have failed are condemned to repeat such mistakesก.

You will agree with me that if you keep repeating such mistakes, you will keep failing.

The first mistake is trying to promote too many affiliate programs in one issue of your newsletter. It is a very grave mistake that most newsletter publishers make. They cannot resist the temptation of making as much money as they can from affiliate programs.

This drives them into promoting too many of the affiliate products at a particular point in time, resulting in a newsletter filled with affiliate links instead of quality content.

Such newsletters are real turnoffs for subscribers. Imagine going through a newsletter that is just filled with affiliate links instead of valuable content. How would you feel? Disappointed, I believe.

Subscribers want you to guide them into making the right decisions. They know where to get some of these products themselves but they are receiving your newsletter so that they will learn more from you and receive guidance from you.

It is wrong, therefore, for you to bombard them with dozens of affiliate products in one newsletter instead of quality advice and informative content.

Affiliate products are very good and effective when they are relevant to the information you are giving to your subscribers at that point in time. They lose their value when you overuse them in a particular newsletter.

If you have a lot of products to promote to your subscribers, it is important for you to spread them out in the different issues of your newsletters. This way, your subscribers will not be inundated with them.

In promoting affiliate products to your subscribers, always remember that กquality is better than quantityก.

The first and most overriding reason for publishing your newsletters is not to sell anything to your subscribers but to provide quality content to them.

With this in your mind, it is necessary for you to face the task at hand of providing them with quality information, then occasionally introducing them to few products that will help them make more sense out of the information you have provided them.

Also, make sure that the products you are recommending to them are of high quality. In other words, make sure that you have used the products yourself and have been very satisfied with the results. This will make your subscribers to see you as a person recommending the product for the good of the product and not just for the profit you seek to derive from the affiliate point of view.

This brings me to the second biggest mistake that you can make as a newsletter publisher. That is, trying very hard to sell a product in your newsletters instead of preselling.

Like I have said earlier, your subscribers do not see you as a salesperson. They see you as someone who is out there to provide them with quality content that will help them make their lives better. If they needed someone to sell to them, they would have gone out there to the marketplace to search!

You should therefore avoid trying so desperately to sell to them through your newsletters. They will sense this and defiantly refuse to buy through your links.

You should know that most of your subscribers also receive other newsletters that probably do the exact same thing you are trying to do to them.

Remember too, that the product you are trying to promote also has a sales letter, which is prepared solely for the sake of selling. It will therefore be wrong of you to use your newsletter as another กsales letterก only for your subscribers to click to the site and see another sales letter waiting for them.

This will be กdouble bombardmentก of sales attempt. At the end of the day this will be very counterproductive to you.

Instead, presell to them.

Preselling here means that you should spend more time telling them the benefits of the product you are recommending to them. By preselling, you are providing your subscribers with very valuable and great content that will be of extreme value to them.

This will make them to see you as a good newsletter publisher who is out to help. It will therefore make them to click through to your affiliate links with pleasure.

Many of them will know even before they click through that you are referring them to your affiliate link. But what matters is, กhow do they feel about YOU before clicking on that affiliate link?ก Bingo!

The answer to this question is what will determine whether you will succeed in converting that click into a sale or not. This is because preselling is all about YOU and how your subscribers feel about YOU.

If you are able to get them to derive a lot of benefit and satisfaction from the value of your information, they will click through and BUY anything you ‘recommendก (not sell) to them.

The third biggest mistake you can make is trying to use 100 methods all at once to promote your newsletter. This will result in a กjack of all trade, master of noneก syndrome.

Know that there would always be other ways of doing a particular thing. But the most important question you should keep asking yourself is, กwhat are the best methods?ก

So, instead of using all the 100 methods you know for promoting your newsletter, it is important for you to pick the few best ones and use them.

When it comes to newsletter promotion, I highly recommend that you should settle for the most effective methods, which include joint ventures, article writing, search engines and buying leads. By spending most of your time promoting your newsletters through these few methods, you will make more progress.

A good proverb comes to mind here, ‘too many cooks spoil the broth!ก

The forth biggest mistake you can make as a newsletter publisher is trying to use ineffective means of promotion like surfing for traffic, banner exchanges and posting to classifieds. Believe me, they don’t work.

Most people, in fact, hate these methods. Banners, for example, have been classified by the big names in Internet marketing like Ken Envoy, as a complete waste of time and money, as far as promotion is concerned.

Also, the classified ads sites and other FFA (FreeForAllSites) should be กnogoก areas for you as far as promotion is concerned. Instead, spend your limited time and money in using effective methods that are sure to work for you. You could add as many as 1000 subscribers using just one effective method at once if you do it right.

Also, make sure you don’t fall for the hype offered by so many companies today. Many of them try to convince you that you can send an email to as many as 3.5 million recipients spam frกee for as little as $27.

Not only is it a big lie, but it is also very unproductive. You will end up getting your credibility badly battered and even getting the Merchants that you are promoting their products into trouble.

Most of such millions of email addresses were actually harvested from various sources on the Internet and other offline avenues like newspapers and magazines. This means that emailing them will result to spam because they neither know about you nor are expecting to receive any email from you.

Lastly, most newsletter publishers make the mistake of waiting until everything is right before starting off. You realize know that everything can’t be right all at once.

You need to start somewhere first. God Himself did not create the whole world at once. This shows that nothing can be perfect from the scratch. You need to start, learn more along the way and continue to strive until you reach the status of a guru.

All the socalled gurus you see today started from somewhere. They were all in this same position you are today, but they had the courage to get started. You should therefore start right away on making the best out of your newsletter! You own it to yourself to start right now.

The Truth About Negative Commands (don’t Read This

The Truth About Negative Commands (don’t Read This!)

by: Laurie Kristensen

Everyday when I read promotional emails and advertisements, or listen to television commercials and dialogue in shows and movies, or hear people around me in everyday life use commands such as the following examples, I feel dismayed for them.

This is because I understand something that many others do NOT!

And, since learning what I now understand, while I am BOMBARDED every day from all directions with commands like those listed below, in all their variations, I feel worse and worse for not speaking up!

I feel especially badly for all those advertisers out there who are ignorant about this, because I also realize they are often sincerely excited about what they are sharing and are working very hard to attract the attention of others.

Examples:

Don’t miss this [fill in the blank]!

Don’t delay!

Don’t forget to be there!

Don’t forget to stop and buy milk [or pick up the dry cleaning fill in the blank]!

Do not forget to be on time!

You can’t miss out on this opportunity!

Don’t be afraid to ASK!

Would you like to [fill in the blank]? If so, don’t wait another minute! Order Your [fill in the blank] NOW!

Don’t Live With Depression [fill in the blank]

And so on…

This is because your subconscious mind works in strange ways. I learned this while training to become a hypnotherapist.

*********

FACT: Your subconscious mind cannot recognize a negative!

*********

As a result, when a person reads or hears statements similar to the above, their subconscious mind actually understands the command as follows.

Examples:

Miss this [fill in the blank]!

Delay!

Forget to be there!

Forget to stop and buy milk [or pick up the dry cleaning fill in the blank]!

Forget to be on time!

Miss out on this opportunity!

Be afraid to ASK!

Would you like to [fill in the blank]? If so, WAIT another minute! Order Your [fill in the blank] NOW! (In this case, you might think itกs okay because the negative statement is followed by a positive request for action… but keep reading, youกll see how it can be improved!)

Live With Depression [or, fill in the blank]

Whenever I have tried to explain this to those who use this type of command in their advertising or their everyday language, they ALWAYS say, กIกm trying to create a sense of URGENCY.ก

But research is absolute on this…

The subconscious mind CANNOT recognize a negative command.

And so, anytime you use a statement that includes a negative command, you are actually giving the OPPOSITE command for the action or results you desire!

This is also why using only positive language in personal growth affirmations and in hypnosis whether selfhypnosis or with a trained professional is crucial.

Itกs also important to avoid alternate forms of negative commands, such as the following examples:

rather than…

instead of…

avoid…

etc.

Always use POSITIVE commands and suggestions!

Iกll admit, it takes some creative thinking, and itกs a learning process to overcome the overwhelming cultural training we have all been living with!

However, by becoming aware, I am gradually learning how to choose my words more carefully and achieving greater results!

For instance:

Instead of กDon’t miss [fill in the blank]!ก you can say ‘take advantage of [fill in the blank]!ก or กGet in on [fill in the blank]!ก

Instead of กDon’t Delay!ก you can say กHurry!ก or กAct Now!ก or ‘take Immediate Action!ก

Instead of กDon’t forget to be there!ก you can say กBe there!ก or ‘remember to be there!ก

Instead of กDon’t forget to stop and buy milk [or pick up the dry cleaning fill in the blank]!ก you can say ‘remember to [fill in the blank] on your way!ก or กPlease buy [fill in the blank] before you get home!ก or ‘thanks in advance for [fill in the blank]!ก

Instead of กDo not forget to be on time!ก you can say กBe there on time!ก or ‘remember to be there on time!ก or กBe there at [time]sharp!ก

Instead of กYou can’t miss out on this opportunity!ก you can say กYou must TAKE this opportunity!ก or ‘tAKE this opportunity NOW!ก or ‘this is a MUSTSEE (or MUSTDO) opportunity!ก

Instead of กDon’t be afraid to ASK!ก you can say กFeel free to ASK!ก or กPlease ASK any questions you have!ก or กFreely ASK your questions!ก

Instead of กWould you like to [fill in the blank]? If so, don’t wait another minute! Order Your [fill in the blank] NOW!ก you can say กWould you like to [fill in the blank]? If so, ACT IMMEDIATELY! Order Your [fill in the blank] NOW!ก

Instead of กDon’t Live With Depression [or fill in the blank]ก you can say กOvercome Your Depression!ก or กLive Free of Depression!ก or even กBe DepressionFree!ก and so on.

Get the idea?

Command, suggest, or inspire people to POSITIVE ACTION, and you will achieve far greater results!

And now, if you reread my article headline, you can ALSO get an idea of how you can use this information to create some ‘reversepsychologyก results, as well!

3 Elements to a DealSealing Classified Ad

3 Elements to a DealSealing Classified Ad

by: Donald Lee

Have you ever wondered why your perfectly fine classified ad fails to attract the attention you desire? There should be dozensno, hundredsof perspective buyers swamping your email inbox with offers. After all, you are offering a mint baseball card, a vintage coat, pristine used car, those wholesalepriced sporting goods, and whatever other attractive items are in your inventory. Instead, you only have a slow trickle of questions, a handful of sales. What gives? More than likely, your sales are slow because you have not mastered the three techniques of writing a classic classified ad.

Of course, give yourself credit for recognizing one important facet of todayกs selling world. You decided to sell your stuff at an online classified site. As anybody in the business knows, online classified ads get you more privacy, a broader selection of buyers, and a wealth of tools to help you keep tabs on your transactions. When compared to a newspaper, cyberspace is also a wee bit more spacious. There are billions of pages on the Web, and only a few dozen in your typical neighborhood rag. For you, that means a lot more space for your ad to say the least.

With that space, however, comes great responsibilityand great potential. The extra room gives you the freedom to include as much product description and sale copy as you want. You can’t just slap together a whole bunch of information, though. You need to use the three special ad writing techniques that will attract buyers and seal the deal: attention, interest, and action.

Attention. Make sure the buyer stops at your ad instead of the thousands upon thousands of others out there in cyberspace. Your adกs title is the first lure to grab his or her attention, and the first component of a catchy title is the itemกs best feature, whether itกs the price, the itemกs rarity, or its popularity. Next, be sure the title includes keywords or other synonyms for your item that a buyer might use in a search. For instance, a buyer could search for กautomobileก instead of กcar,ก กpulloverก instead of กsweater.ก

Interest. Once you have the buyerกs attention, hook them with details. There is a direct relationship between the amount of information you provide and the number of sales youกll make. So describe the item as completely as possiblesize, color, material, designer, modeland provide a clear, digital photo to finish the job where your words leave off. Even offer your prospective customer the itemกs history if possible.

Also, try to list as many possible benefits that your sales item could offer the buyer. Come up with some that the buyer probably wouldn’t think of on his or her own. And zone in on specific benefits. Use what you already know about your target. For instance, if you were selling a car, you know that whoever is looking at your ad is in need of a vehicle. If your car is compact, perhaps the buyer is in search of great gas mileage. Or perhaps itกs power he or she wants if your car is a sports model.

Action. Finish your ad strongly. Don’t just suggest to the buyer that you offer a great deal. Tell them itกs a fantastic offer that they can’t pass up. Use phrases like กCall me now before someone else doesก or กBuy now, this opportunity won’t last long.ก Be cordial while you’re pressing the issue, of course. Thank them for reading your ad and make sure they know you appreciate their business.

Most importantly, your customers will also value your honesty throughout the whole ad. So whether itกs the attention, interest, or action you’re shooting for, never lie or exaggerate. Go so far to include any defects if your product is not in mint shape. Your honesty will build trust, and trust above all else makes an ad work. Whatกs more, it makes for repeat customers.

Remember, if you use all three of these elementsor four if you include honesty. When you’re finished with it, it should read something like the two examples below.

Example 1:

Discover the beauty of a Forest Hill Home

2500 sq. ft. home, 4 bedroom, 3 baths, double garage, upgraded kitchen, 12 ft. ceilings

This open concept house is situated in a historical landmark district of Rhode Island. Itกs a wonderful neighborhood to raise your family, with nearby schools and amenities.

Example 2:

Looking for an inexpensive used car that drives well? only $4,950.

2003 Honda Civic, Limited Edition, 65,000 miles, manual transmission, CD, AM/FM radio, power steering, low maintenance. Great on gas this car will save you $$$ on high gasoline prices.

PDF Optimization: Death to SEO?

PDF Optimization: Death to SEO?

by: Paul Bliss

On April 18th 2005, Adobe announced that it was going to acquire Macromedia.

Besides delivering a critical blow to competitive balance of two highly recognized and respected companies, it has inadvertently created a new form of optimization.

Thatกs right. PDF optimization.

The main technology that Adobe wanted from Macromedia was Flash. Now that they have it, they will be able to incorporate all the power of Flash into a PDF. With one fell swoop, they have changed the face of search engine optimization.

As a site owner, I can now potentially have my entire site reside within the content of a PDF. Sure, it was textually available before, but now I can even have compressed video, dynamically generated content and visually appealing content conveniently wrapped up into the webกs only crosscompatible portable platform.

No more worries about having a Flash player installed that will be incorporated into the PDF reading software. No more worrying about needing Quicktime and Media Player versions of video clips. Theyกll all be in Flash.

Not only is the PDF web friendly, but it is also PDA and Kiosk ready. Now content can be delivered anywhere to any device that can read a pdf. It can also be included on CDกs, DVDกs and even your cell phone.

From a user perspective, this is awesome. From a search engine perspective, it is great to push boundaries, but we may also see the end of optimizing for client sites, instead a client will pay a onetime fee to optimize a pdf.

Anyone who makes a living optimizing sites can see the potential loss of revenue as companies move forward and place their marketing efforts into promoting a pdf instead of a web site.

Why would a company not embrace this? While itกs a true a site like Amazon would not be able to take full advantage of this, they could embed pdf optimization for dvdกs and cdกs sent to your cell phone, based on previous selections youกve made.

Itกs a marketerกs dream, and it makes a buzz agentกs job even easier. Word of mouth marketing will be coupled with a portable demonstration of the product or service being sold.

While the general public may not become aware of this technology for a few years, those who reside on the cutting edge will find great ways to use this in promotion.

Now instead of just watching a movie trailer, you could also have the script, actor bios and studio contact information. Maybe even after the movie gets released, you could get your pdf updated with box office results.

The benefits of storing information in a pdf are huge. Instead of storing all of that information in a database, you have everything you need as a portable document. No worries about server stability, access to the database or even an internet connection.

By embracing this new development, it will be another service you can add to your seo repertoire and allow for your business to adapt to this emerging technology.

To your online success!

The ONE Thing YOU Should Focus On Right Now

The ONE Thing YOU Should Focus On Right Now

by: Lynn Terry

Let me just start out by saying that I cant tell you what that กone thingก is. It is for you to choose, and for you to do.

Thereกs a lot of talk out there among the กexpertsก about how to get rich, how to become successful, how to do this or how to do that. Itกs very easy to get distracted, and even easier to become overwhelmed. กInformation Overloadก, they call it.

The truth is, there are A LOT of viable business ideas out there. There are MANY ways to become successful or wealthy. There is TONS of potential in online marketing. And thereกs still PLENTY of room for you to step in and claim your fortune.

The question is: What are you going to do?

You could:

write a book or an ebook

promote affiliate programs via PPC

sell products on eBay

create & optimize contentrich sites in niche markets

build an empire of minisites

become a public speaker

be a web designer, copywriter or VA

That list could go on and on… and on. What I see all too often is that many people try to do ‘the whole listก. Or at least several at once. And that can be okay if your focus is one and the same in all things that you are doing. Or it can be disastrous. A recipe for failure.

Maybe you can relate to this scenario: You set out to do something, and it takes longer to earn the amount you had hoped for… and then you see another option. You try it out, it does pretty well, so you put some time and energy into it. Something happens rules change, markets fluctuate, algorithms change and you’re moved two steps back. You’re introduced with something new, more stable, and you focus on that instead.

This is a familiar story. If you haven’t experienced it yourself youกve certainly heard about someone who has. And theyกll tell you that the business idea they started out with originally was a failure, or that there was กno m0ney in itก or ‘too much competitionก.

Youกve probably heard that you shouldn’t have all of your eggs in one basket. That you should create 10 microniche websites that earn $1,000/month instead of one larger website that will earn you $10,000/month. In less than one hour of surfing the กnet, you might be told to do this, do that, promote x and build z. All of it sounds good. All of it could work. Try to do all of it at once and you’re going to be in trouble.

The key is to have a FOCUS.

Choose one thing and do it WELL. For example, if you have a contentrich website, you can also offer an ebook on the same topic. You can capitalize on affiliate sales, or Adsense clickthroughกs. You can build a highly targeted 0ptin mailing list. You can incorporate an กupsellก and backend sales into your shopping cart. You can set up your own affiliate program.

Basically, you want to build on the foundation you already have and make it stronger, make it bigger… make it more profitable! Sure you can implement all of these new methods and strategies that you learn. But don’t set out to do something completely NEW when you have already invested the time and energy into a project you haven’t yet completed. Instead, focus on making it the BEST.

Once it is running smooth on its own, and completely automated, you may want to build another or focus on something entirely different. But if you’re trying to build on 10 things at once, or find yourself working in entirely too many directions… itกs time to take stock, go back to the foundation, and decide how you can best finish building on that original idea of yours.

And thatกs it. Thatกs the ONE thing that YOU should be focusing on right now.
