The Write to Link Popularity

The Write to Link Popularity

by: Nicholas Dixon

Using writing as a means of boosting your link popularity can be a turnoff for many webmasters, when in fact it can lead to a wealth of links.

I first learnt about link popularity while researching about many different methods that I could use to market a Geocities site I had. After emailing countless webmasters and receiving some dismal results, I realized that it was hopeless to get people to exchange links with my freebie website.

Then I discovered writing. At first I was skeptical at using this concept but after trying it for some time, the results began to show. What was wonderful is that it only cost me some of my time.

With the help of article writing I was able to achieve a Pagerank of 4 for my Geocities website. The more webmasters that archived my articles the more links I had pointing to my site. As a result of my growing link popularity I began to see my site show up on the first or second page for some relatively competitive search terms.

Using writing as a marketing tool can save you thousands in advertising dollars. Imagine a website or ezine that costs hundreds to advertise in and you have the feature article which didn’t cost you a dime to produce. You can easily see which generates more profit in the long run.

Through the power of the written word you can be able to get free publicity for your business. Providing quality and profitable and sometimes inspiring information can help you to achieve that goal. Many top marketers have used writing to good effect.

Developing your own writing style is important. As there are many others doing the same thing you what to differ from them. How can you stand out in a crowd if you are just like everyone else.

Practicing and researching helped me to put pen to paper for my first articles. Some of your first creations maybe a bit tacky but as long as you keep going you can improve.

Writing can be a task at times. There are moments when I have written the first two paragraphs and just get stuck. The inevitable writer’s block can be a challenge to overcome. Taking a break and getting into the right frame of mind can be helpful.

Can anyone become a writer? Well the answer depends on how much effort you put into it. I have had some wonderful experiences since I became a writer. At times when there are criticisms and negative feedback, they can help you to better your skills if you use them the right way.

Many people don’t like writing. But sometimes it is the things that we don’t enjoy doing that are most beneficial to us. Try your hand at writing, if a guy from a Caribbean island can do it then so can you.

Five Knockout Affiliate Tips

Five Knockout Affiliate Tips

by: Nicholas Dixon

Here are five ขhook em in the jawข affiliate tips that really work. Implement them and see how well they work for you.

(1) Develop a positive and realistic mindset. Do you believe that you can get rich quick or that your business will take time to grow? Those who believe in the online hype are the ones who normally lose. Think positive and know in your heart you can earn an income from your efforts.

(2) Too much information or the lack of it can be dangerous. Not using the knowledge that you have gain can stop your business from getting off the ground and not having the right information can have the same effect.

(3) Market your programs with Google Adwords. This is a powerful strategy you can use and as long as you earn more in commissions than your PPC costs, then you are getting something for nothing.

(4) Write your own ads, articles and reviews instead of the preformatted ones offered by affiliate programs. This will set you apart from all the other affiliates in the same program.

(5) Make sure your affiliate program matches the content of your website or newsletter. If you have marketing content then you should promote marketing products on that page. Think of it like matching ads to the page content like the way Adsense does. There may a few exceptions to the rule though, even Adsense does it some time.

There you go. A few tips to help you with your affiliate programs whether you are looking for your first check or to boost your current earnings. Try them all or even a couple and test and track your results. I am sure Lennox Lewis would be proud of your hooks and jabs

Online Trade Winds

Online Trade Winds

by: Nicholas Dixon

A few bends ago on the online marketing road, I registered and got paid hosting for a website I have been marketing for years. Now some people may say that is minor step, but for someone who lives on a rock in the Caribbean Sea that is a privilege.

I happen to live in a society that is still grappling with technology but is slowly catching on. The average man on the street feels that you are a geek once you are into computers when in fact you were in the same mindset as him before you first started out.

Being on online marketer sets you up for a roller coaster ride which if you are not prepared for, can leave you throwing up before the ride ends. Online marketing is not a gokart race but is more akin to the Dayonta 500, so you better dig in for a long ride.

I built and ran my first website on someone else’s computer for years because I could not afford one. I did this using free hosting services until I could pay for hosting and upgrade my website. That made me feel so vulnerable at times of placing my best interests in the hand of another, but business is a gamble and I took my chances.

Instead of feeling disheartened, I used this as a catalyst for my growth. Here I was hearing complaints from others about the lack of opportunities, yet there was a goldmine right on the playground of the young the internet.

Online marketing is a great teacher for all. It forces you to forget about me and start thinking about us. It is not a game where you hide behind a computer screen and shoot off emails to thousands hoping that you will get rich. It is all about building relationships which will determine if you sink or float.

Personality is a powerful tool in your marketing arsenal. It is an under used strategy that much has not been written about. Mark you though, just because you have a Brad Pitt personality that means you are already successful, instead it should compliment your other strengths.

The internet is a very powerful communicating and marketing tool that has changed several aspects of our lives. You can shoot off an email to someone halfway around the globe and it arrives quicker than an elevator ride to the first floor.

It pains me daily that persons who want a cheap business tool don’t know about it and some who have access to the net use it only to read emails and play Yahoo games. I happen to work at a computer lab and many of the persons who I have recommend the internet to as a business tool never even tried it once. Nothing baffling about that though.

Online marketing moreso the Net are fairly young when compared to most offline businesses and there is still plenty of time and space to hop on board. It will take you some amount of time, strength, courage and persistence to achieve your set goals. But at the end of the day you have something you can call your own.

Though I have not earned my first five figure check, these thoughts are what inspire me daily to help further the growth of the net. Strange huh, the net grows, my business grows, my bank balance grows, your business grows……..

Lucrative & Relaxed Living With Passive Profits

Lucrative & Relaxed Living With Passive Profits

by: Nicholas Drake

Learn about the millions of savvy people quietly tapping away at home right now, building themselves millionaire lifestyles.

Of all the ways people have invented in which to make money, I can’t help thinking that those who can make money while sleeping or being on holiday takes some beating. In the preinternet age, the lucky ones would have been famous film or pop stars, successful writers and inventors and some who were just born into super rich families. This group of people having made their films, sung their songs and written their books could afford to sit back and enjoy their repeat fees however they wished.

But what opportunities were there for the rest of us, not blessed with super good looks, angelic voices or effortless talents? The great majority had to go out to work, many with the added privilege of spending hours in traffic jams, on overcrowded trains and buses or struggling in all weathers. Many with boring jobs they hated, overbearing bosses they couldn’t stand and nothing to look forward to except the small respite at the weekend and perhaps a couple of weeks abroad each year if they were lucky. Okay, it’s not really as black and white as that as we know. Many of us have it better than that but I bet not one of you readers have not at some time thought, ‘What if?’

Well that ‘What if?’ arrived some years ago with the invention of the internet. The opportunity is right here, right now, for pretty much any sane person with a bit of get up and go and the vision to make it happen. It’s here, right now, in front of your eyes and you don’t even have to move an inch, you can just sit there, and let your fingers do the tapping!

Okay, we have all heard of the so called, ‘Internet Millionaires’ but what did they actually do? Well, many got on the band wagon early and set up their Dot Com travel sites, search engines and so forth but what do we know about travel, search engines or even so forths, (what is a so forth?) Well, not necessarily very much, but it doesn’t matter because there are literally millions of savvy people, quietly tapping away at home right now, building themselves millionaire lifestyles without owning travel sites, search engines and with not a so forth in sight!

How do they do it?

Well not like you might be thinking. Some may enjoy it but I would rather not have to spend my time stuck behind a computer screen all day, dealing with orders and getting bogged down in administration, sounds like work all over again. There are literally thousands of ways people make money on the internet; if you really want to build yourself a serious passive income so you can take the time to do what you really want, then the answer is don’t sell anything!

Now before you think I’m crazy I’ll explain. By far one of the easiest and simplest ways to make money is to simply promote something. All you have to do is point people at a website that is selling a good product, then let the owners of that website take over. They will deal with the payments, the stocking of the goods, the shipping, the queries etc. And of course, they are really happy to pay you handsomely for your part. Now the greatest part of all this is, although you have to be prepared to put in some time at the beginning, once you have done the work, the system takes over and no matter what you do, it’s there, quietly making money for you, all over the world, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Once the system has started up and the passive profits are rolling in, you can choose to just keep a weather eye on things now and again and whenever you feel like it, switch on and create a few more income streams to build an even bigger passive profit. You have got the same chance as those internet millionaires to start right now and make a Lucrative & Relaxed Living With Passive Profits.

How Can I Get Started?

Visit my website in the resource below for more information. Once you are there, I suggest you start at the top and follow your nose. It’s stacked with tons of free information and tips on everything you need to know get started in this incredible business. I’ll see you there!

The Minefield to Online Success

The Minefield to Online Success

by: Nicholas Dixon

Becoming successful online has become a reality for many marketers. However the majority of us end up empty handed in the game. This leads many to ask themselves, is success online possible ?

The success rate for online marketers is remarkable.Only 510 % of us will make it at the end of the day. What is the reason for this happening ? I personally believe it is a lack of positive thinking and attitude.

ขHow on earth does positive thinking help my marketing ? ข , you may ask.In more ways than you can imagine. It is the spark that lights the way to success.

Online marketing is a fairly new industry.A lot of people have made their names and fortunes using the Internet. However some people still eye us with distrust. They have to be won over by the right positive approach .Itกs the only way.

The Internet nowadays is fraught with schemes and scams. Many people think thatกs what online marketing is all about. And they would be surprise to know that one can really make a honest living online.

Then you have some guys who give us bad names.Calling themselves ขmarketersข, they try to con every new player in the game.Even you. They will try to sell you almost anything , making you believe it is the ขholy grailข to success.

The truth be told, there is no ขholy grailข to online success. But the best chance you have is with a positive attitude. It is a neccessity to deal with the inevitable obstacles that will present themselves.

One of the greatest struggles online marketers face is themselves.Yes ,yourself.Imagine telling your friends and love ones about your new career and they scoff at it saying it won’t work.Your next step will depend on how much you believe in yourself.

Believing in yourself and your dreams will determine how far you will go.Nothing worthwhile in this world comes easy.Thatกs why there are always obstacles on the journey to online success.Just believe , it works.

Becoming successful online has become a reality for many marketers. But are you prepared to cross the minefield to online success ? Think about it.

To your success and mine …..,

Create Credibility for Success

Create Credibility for Success

by: Nicholas Dixon

Back in my early marketing days, finding the magic ticket to online success was my prime focus. Day after day I became engaged in the journey to find the internet ขEl Doradoข.

I did find what I was looking for, nothing more than a fistful of air. The online marketing formula for success was always right in front of me or rather right inside. And yet still so many marketers are out there searching for that elusive ticket to success.

Notice any successful marketer and you will find that their success is built strongly on their credibility. Yanik Silver, Marlon Sanders, Ken Evoy and many others all have credibility which precedes them.

This is why they are all so successful. They focus on creating lasting materials which will work for them in the long term. Many marketers including myself have made that mistake by not doing so, which can prove to be fatal to your business.

In the vast world of the internet, credibility is hard to comeby indeed. The internet removes the need for face to face meetings and dialogue, but that does not remove the need for trust and dependability.

How can you create credibility for your online business? You can do so by establishing materials which will be of benefit to your readers and customers. Posting free ads to classifieds and to FFA’s is not what I am talking about. These bring little or no results in the long run.

Article writing, ezine publishing and posting to forums are examples of credibility building materials. When used in the proper way they seem to take on a life of there own and can bring wonderful results. And the best thing is that they have the ability to stick around for a long time after you create and publish them.

All the examples stated are practiced by successful marketers. Some may use all the techniques or they might use one or two. My experience with creating credibility building materials has been wonderful.

A few detractors may point out that using these strategies on a freely hosted website is lacking of credibility, but believe me they work. These techniques have been around for a while and many marketers can attest to the fact that they do produce results.

Give your business a boost by focusing on creating credibility and getting your name in the public eye. Why don’t you give it a try ?

Do You Have Staying Power?

Do You Have Staying Power?

by: Nicholas Dixon

“If you are going through hell , keep on going” Sir Winston Churchill

Staying Power. Some of you may know that record by the late Barry White. On that track, he was talking about his love making abilities and his prowess at it.

That is not what this article is about. It is about that trait that sets successful people apart from the failures, whether it is in business or in marriage.

How does staying power relates to online marketing ? It is a fact that successful marketers have that ability. For them, it is simply a matter of sticking around when things don’t work out the way they want it to.

Staying Power.Abraham Lincoln, Winston Churchill and many other great men and women all had it.It was that ability which made them different from being simple dreamers and wishers.

They had to have it to make their dreams and aspirations become a reality. This is the kind of attitude that we all need to have. Some people are born that way and luckily for the rest of us, it can be learnt.

Staying power requires persistence, consistency and a “never say die” attitude. With practice one can develop their staying power in any area of life they are engaged.

If you are serious about making your business and personal endeavors survive the long haul, start by thinking about ways you can develop your staying power. It really works !

You don’t have to take my word for it.Next time you happen to see Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates or Arnold Schwarenegger ask them.Their answer would not be far from what I expected.

To your success and mine……. ,

Nicholas

Making It Online

Making It Online

by: Nicholas Dixon

A few years ago when I decided to do business online, I was a bit in the dark.I was so excited that I didn’t even take some time to learn some basic stuff. These were things I wish somebody had taught at the start beginning, but I had to learn them first hand. Here are a few things I learnt as a beginner:

The internet is loaded with scams and schemes and a lot of hype. But there are also a lot of legitimate businesses online.Making money online is just as it is in the offline world. To do so still requires hardwork , dedication ,persistence, passion and commitment.

There is no way you can become rich ขovernightข.I used to join program after program to get a quick buck or two. This was all in vain.I was so eager to make some easy money , I forgot to take a reality check.Any truly successful online business will take time to build and grow. Are you willing to stick at it for the next 35 years ? A very good question to ask yourself.

Visibility is part of the game. The more visible and reliable you are , the more people will trust you.Trust is a big part of making it online.Would you spend your hard earn money with someone who is not trustworthy ? It took me some time to realise and accept this fact.

To receive you have to give. When I first started out , all I was interested in was receiving. As I got more deeply involved , I realised that doing so was setting me up for failure. You have to give your customers and readers something in order for them to return the favor. This also took some time to sink into my thick skull.

The above are just a few things you will need to know when doing business online. With these pointers , you will at least be at a better starting point than I was.Somehow I just keep thinking ; what would have happen if I had known these things at the beginning ?

To your success and mine ….,

Can You Really Make It Online ?

Can You Really Make It Online ?

by: Nicholas Dixon

A good day or (night!!) to all you lovely people out there in cyberspace.Today I am going to talk about finding success on the net. For some three years now I have been designing and marketing websites , newsletters and articles.I started out in it as an hobby , but soon realised that I could make a career out of it.It has been a rollercoaster ride so far with itกs fair share of ups and downs.Back then when I first started out , I was lightheaded and eager to hop onto any program that offered ‘to make you rich in six weeks with no workก.I soon learn’t the hard way that all that was just a myth.I was even scammed twice on the net , falling to some กget richก scheme which was full of nothing but hype.

Soon after I realise what the internet was about with all those scams and schemes , I started to look for the ก other side of the netก : the good side. The part of it where you have to work hard to achieve what you want , the part of it where you have to go months or years without success before you finally find it.The internet is not much different from the offline world , only that it is cheaper to go into business and you are open 24/7.

But one has to work just as hard to get where you want to go.I have been in the game for some time now , and I have received my fair share of success. It wasn’t easy to reach where I am right now, I had to deal with rejection , setbacks , lack of capital and a lot of other obstacles most of which were unforeseen. But without those obstacles in my way I wouldn’t be were I am right now.

For those who are just starting , you have to be willing to make mistakes and suffer setbacks and rejections if you are going to stand a chance of success.Being persistence will get you a long way.Until next time.

To your success and mine ,

Nicholas

Develop guts to achieve glory

Develop guts to achieve glory

by: Nicholas Dixon

It is just amazing the amount of people who don’t have the courage to go after their dreams. They sit around living a life they are not happy with and still they do nothing about it.

And the funny thing is that if you should ask them the reason for this, they start finding excuses left, right and center. They vary from money to age to the economy and others you might be familiar with.

Many of us are waiting for Lady Luck to pay us a surprise visit. We blindly believe that that will be the end of our troubles. But this is hardly so.We have to work hard and wisely for the success we desire.

To make something of ourselves in this world calls for us to overcome obstacles and setbacks. But my biggest obstacle is my fears and you may find yourself in a similar position.

Not facing our fears and moving on could be the difference between success and failure. So whatกs to do ?

All it takes is the will and guts to go ahead and create something worthwhile in this world. We can all achieve success but we need to conquer our FEARS.

The man without fear is one who is not living. We all have our personal fears. It can be fear of failure, success or peopleกs opinion. But you have to face them to achieve success.

Ask any successful person and they will tell you this secret. A brave person is someone who acts in spite of his or her fears. So ask yourself, what fears do you need to conquer to reach your goals ?

To your success and mine……. ,

Nicholas

Youกve Got Mail

Youกve Got Mail

by: Nicholas Dixon

It seems that Google is revolutionizing the Net in more than one way. Recently they announced that they will be offering a free email service called Gmail. It will offer its users 1GB of memory space. Now that is a lot of space for anybody to have.
Now an email storage war has begun. MSN, Yahoo and Askjeeves have all offered their free subscribers extra memory to make them stay loyal to their service. Yahoo went from 4 Mb to a 100 MB; Askjeeves has upgraded to 125 MB and MSN has moved from 2MB to 250 MB!
If you used to worry about your mailbox being overwhelmed with emails, it is time for you to relax. No more need for you to purchase extra memory, you have loads of it available for free. You have tons of space for messages, attachments etc.
I believe that Google’s competitors are afraid that the Big G is out to snatch away some of there market share. Google’s foray into email service is unusual and many a person is excited to hop on board and take advantage of what they have to offer.
Gmail has had some major issues since Google announced its arrival. Most notably is that they intend to place advertisements in each email sent. These ads are supposed to be related to the content of your message. This as lead to squabbles about privacy and several related issues.
Google has faced some strong opposition to its Gmail service. Some of the cons of the service are you can’t save a draft of your messages and the reply button is all the way at the bottom of the page.
Gmail also lacks a built –in virus scanner although they may add one in the future. There is also no way to create HTML emails or the ability to add a signature to your messages.
You can check out Gmail at http://gmail.google.com/gmail/help/about.html . Please note that they are still doing beta testing on the system. Give it a try and see how it stacks up against your other email providers. Happy mailing.
Best Regards,

How Do You Define Your Success?

How Do You Define Your Success?

by: Nicholas Dixon

How does an online marketer define success ? There are many ways to describe success, but does it always have to do with a hefty bank balance ?

I can consider myself to be an online success. Heck, I am not making a ton of money every month or consider myself to be a guru.

So how could someone say they are a success with little to show for it ? Again, it all fits with your definition of success.

For years too many people have believe that success is all about the realisation of material things . This has caused many persons to chase after their dreams in frustration and then give up.

Because they are not making lots of money in the online gold rush, they think that they are losers and they are because they think themselves into failure.

Anyone who adds value to another personกs life is a success in my eyes. As long as they provide something to make you happier, make more money or feel good about yourself they are successful.

We have many unsung heroes among us. They have overcome adversities and personal crisis in their lives and still have the drive to make anotherกs live better. They are rarely seen in the news or on television.

They don’t have to anyway. Why ? Because they already know who they are and their limits and capabilities. Telling them is just reminding them of who they are.

Keeping track of where you started and where you are now should give you some idea of how much progress you have made.

So are you already a success or are you waiting on someone to tell you so ? I hope not.

To your success and mine……. ,
