How to Determine Good Online Business

How to Determine Good Online Business

by: Mira Marsellia

Many people would like to start an online business, but sometimes get confused by so many offering letter which contained with hoax and seemed like scam things.

If you like to determine whether an online business is reputable one and do will give you potential income that works, you must spot in their website the things hereunder.

Good online business must have YES answer for this following question :

Is there any real address and real people behind the business?

Do you think they have good product not only for you but for MOST of people that will make people buy again and again?

Do they provide a trustworthed payment method for the transactions?

Do they have good marketing kit and representative tools for you ?

Do they have continuous education and training program?

Do they provide you with reasonable pay plan and better comission payment method?

If thereกs any representative sending you offering letter, also note for the alarm sign in this kind of letter:

Look at the title text on email subject. Do you think the email was originally written by the person who sent it to you?

This is NOT SPAM or This is NOT HOAX in title, is a phrases in title which indicated an unsolicited email indeed.

No valid reference or link to outside resource could give you more confirmation

Claims for some business which absurd and much exaggerate, and you never heard before from legitimete sources.

The language in those kind of letter give you less information and most of them geared to persuade you.

Many of them using excessive CAPITALS and EXCLAMATION marks and using extreme phrases.

Good email business letter always provide you with link to stop receive offering letter from them and the link to unsubscribe you from their database.

A representative of real business opprotunity will like to provide you with their real name, phone number, and valid address.

Internet Advertising Options

Internet Advertising Options

by: Nial Robbins

Your online business will likely require more advertising than a contemporary business downtown, yet some new to the world of online business do not spend the time and money to advertise their business appropriately and are, in turn, loosing money. Your online business is crammed into the world wide web along with thousands of others selling the same product or service as yourself. Consider this scenario: In your hometown you want to open an art supply store. In that same town there are thousands of art supply stores. In order for your business to be successful, it will have to stand out in some way from the others. This is exactly what is happening when a business is opened online. There is so much competition, that you must take drastic measures to ensure that you are getting noticed. Advertising can be done in so many ways online. These are some of the most successful ways that you can promote your online business.

Advertising in ezines is a popular way to promote your online business. Ezines are the magazines of the internet; they written on a particular subject and read by those interested in that subject. Therefore, ezine readers are already potential customers and advertising your site in ezines that are related to your business is almost guaranteed to help drive traffic to your site and increase sales for your product. You should be sure when advertising in ezines that you are not advertising along side competitors. Ask the ezine producer if there is a policy concerning posting competing ads. It is also a good idea to subscribe to the ezine before making a decision about whether or not to advertise in it. An ezine that runs fewer ads is a better choice than one that runs many ads. You can look at the online Directory of Ezines to find publications that are relevant to your company.

Payperclick programs are an excellent way to advertise your business without taking a risk that you have advertised in the wrong place. With payperclick, you can advertise you site and only pay for those who click the link and go to your site. Another popular payper program is the payperlead program that allows you to only pay for leads. Usually this means that you pay for only those who download a trail, fill out a form or enter a sweepstakes; whatever you choose. Lastly you can display payperclick banner ads in which your company would be allowed to place a banner on their site and you will be charged for every click that your banner receives.

OptIn email is a great way to advertise your business, however it is expensive and it can be misused very easily. Using optin emails, you would submit your sales copy to the company that will in turn email it to those on their mailing list. You should be very careful since some of the companies that advertise their mailing lists as optin email service is sometimes really SPAM. It is essential that you have a perfect and effective sales letter when using optin mailing lists. Without and effective sales copy your money and time have been wasted.

Running Your Online Business

Running Your Online Business

by: Jeremy Gislason

I had a very nice conversation with one of our members a while ago regarding her business. She has been in business for 11 years with her current company, which is a traditional business started long before the Internet came around.

She has been successful for those 11 years and is still doing very well. She started her online business several months ago with the same products as her traditional business. The problem was her online business was only costing her money and to date she has made no sales, but has spent over $1,500 in advertising and marketingjust for the online side of her business alone.

Here is a news flash. Business is Business! I do not care whether you are on the Internet or in a shopping mall. The same basic principles apply to both businesses.

You have a product

You need to advertise to get customers to buy your product.

You need to support your customers who buy your product from the advertising you did.

You need to build a loyal customer following, so you can maintain a profitable business.

Many people believe that because they are selling online that some of these steps can either be skipped or they need to go overboard in one area or another. Customer service on the Internet is for the most partnonexistent. Companies that tell you they will get back to you in 48 72 hours might as well tell you they are closed.

The bottom line regarding selling online, whether you have your own product or you are just going to focus on reselling affiliate programs, you will need to advertise, and you will need to take care of your clients.

There is no magic about online selling. As an example, our members purchased an ISOR membership for a reason and other people will purchase for similar reasons. We work very hard at ISORegister, Inc. to ensure our members and treated fairly. We provide tollfree phone numbers, 7days a week support, we answer our emails the same day we receive them. These are a few of the things we do that 99% of the online companies do not.

You do not have to get your own tollfree phone number or work 7 days a week. What you do have to realize is that if you are reselling an affiliate program or your own product that you are in business for yourself.

You have a choice as to how you want to run your business. You can sit back and wait for sales to happen or you can go out and make sales happen. Run your home business like you expect to be treated by other businesses. Do not spam people; do not buy a bunch of worthless hits, do not pay someone to get you posted in the top search engines.

Run your new home business just like a real company because it is a real company and you have a real opportunity to be successful or to fail. The only difference between an online business and a traditional business is location and in some cases inventory. Everything else is about the same. You have a product and you want to sell that product to people who want your product.

Think about this…Remember, building a business takes time and patience. If you are promoting affiliate programs do not sit around waiting for someone to find your affiliate page. In addition, too many people think that once they have put up their own website the traffic is just going to pour in. This is not true as anyone with a website knows but it is a reason so many people get frustrated and quit. You need to go out and promote your website or affiliate program and you need to be aggressive in your approach.

There is nothing magical about running your Internet business. This business is run the same as any traditional business and it will succeed or fail depending on what you put into it.

Read any book or bio from anyone who has ever started and run a business and you will see that everyone put a lot of time and energy into their business. Do the same and treat your own business or affiliated businesses like your own and you will do fine.

Self Employment In The Age Of The Computer

Self Employment In The Age Of The Computer

by: Richard Moore

SelfEmployment in the Age of the Computer, or: Using the computer to create your own income.

I believe that there is a huge market that is not widely recognized but, available right now for people to create their own careers. I approached Human Resources, E.I., and Canada Manpower in Canada, and Government Unemployment and Employment agencies about advertising this particular avenue of selfemployment, but they will have nothing to do with it.

It seems odd to me that with the number of people out of work that these government agencies (supposedly geared to helping people find new careers) will only deal with employers that deduct taxes from an employeeกs wage, and will not work with employers that pay by commission or allow their employees the benefits of claiming selfemployment. I feel that someone has to inform people in need of help that there are alternatives out there.

My name is Richard Moore. I own and operate an online business aimed at and designed to teach people how to start, build, run, maintain, advertise, manage, and market an online business. I see a trend towards more and more people getting away from having to go out of their homes to work or have a career. I predict that within 20 years, close to half of the working population will be working from their own homes.

O.K, I am not a psychic but I definitely talk to more and more people every day who have made this transition or are thinking about doing it. I have talked to employers who have realized the benefits of allowing their employees or associates to work from the comfort of their own homes, or are considering doing this. They tell me that in most cases they get better productivity and have people stay with them longer by letting them work from home. There is a very high turn around of employees these days, more than we have ever seen before. There are many factors to consider when dealing with this high turnover problem.

*It costs employers extremely high amounts of money to have an employee work in a building that is owned or leased and have them spend 8 hours a day there doing their job.

*Consider the overhead. Mortgages, utilities, taxes etc. All of which are higher than ever before. Everything costs more, but we bring home less money. Even if you rent or lease an office, store, or building of any type for your business, rents are constantly increasing. Then you have all the other expenses; benefits (if you offer them), advertising, packaging, shipping, and the list goes on and on. For an employer it makes sense to get rid of the high overhead costs and let people who can, such as office staff, sales, personnel, payroll, secretaries, or data entry as a few examples, work at home.

*As far as employees go, I am told there are many factors that contribute to better productivity. The main reasons being that when they are working from home there are fewer distractions and they are more comfortable, therefore they can get more work done in less time.

*Also, they do not have the expense of transporting themselves from home to work and back again. Messing around in traffic these days has got to be the most stressful part of anyoneกs day. Do you really feel you can get the best performance as an employer or give your best as an employee after fighting your way to work through an allout war zone? I don’t care if you drive, ride the bus, take the subway, or fly to work, I do not believe you can give it your best when you start your day off with stress.

*And you can eliminate the need for and cost of babysitters. People have been asking for years how they can earn a good income and not have to give up precious time with their children. (This used to be impossible. Well, not any more)

A trend I have noticed coming on like gangbusters is the selfemployed approach to earning income. More and more people are being laid off, let go, or cannot find work, than ever before. There are massive numbers of people that seem to be stuck in a gray area or a void and can’t seem to get out of it. Everyday I talk to someone who gets laid off due to lack of work or gets replaced by high tech machines, or, more often then not, their employer has to close the doors. They try to collect the little bit of Government dole which they may or may not be entitled to, and, when that runs out, then what do they do?

I do know how tough it can be to find a job, any job, at any age these days, however, try to find a job at forty or fiftysomething. It is all but impossible. One choice you have, is to set yourself up in a business and be selfemployed. A lot of people either do not think of this or cannot see themselves as being their own boss.

Some people that try selfemployment have an extremely hard time doing so. Again, there are all the costs and time and effort involved with setting up and starting a business. So, we talk ourselves out of something that all of us have probably dreamed about at least once in our lives. Being selfemployed. Being our own Boss. Being able to say those immortal words ‘take this job and…ก

Hereกs a fairly new idea that is catching on very quickly, and it is an inexpensive and relatively easy answer to the problem. The Online Business. If you have a computer and are hooked up to the internet you are half way home to being your own business owner/operator. If you do not have a computer you can purchase a good used one for about $800 to $1200. A new one will run you about $1800 and up depending on how much power or how many toys you want, or need, to have. But, this is a lesson for another article.

Hereกs my story. I had never used a computer before in my life until about a year ago. I got hurt at work and had been off for about a year when the company let me go. You see, I had only been with the company for about three weeks when I got hurt and apparently they had the legal right to lay me off. There I was getting a small disability claim. Not knowing how long that would last and not being able to do the physical type of work I was used to any more. I had to think of some way to earn a living. I bought a used computer, paid $900 for it. I had never used a computer in my life and it scared me to death. I thought if I did something wrong, I might destroy Japanกs economy with one hit of a key! BOOM!

But, the more time I spent on the internet, the better I got at it; and the easier it became to navigate. Soon I was seeing that having a business on the net (an online business) was making a lot of people very rich. I know that just because you start a business you are not going to get rich, but I did see a chance to make a good living working from home and being my own boss. I learned everything I could, and am still (and will always) be learning, but I learned what I needed to know to get started as quickly as possible.

Ask my wife. I think she got jealous of my computer.

I got hooked and spent more time with the machine than I did with her. (Iกve since made up for that!). Within two months I was on the net and had launched my business. I now earn money from selling on the internet with my own web site. I decided that this could be done by anyone, so I developed a company that teaches people to be in business for themselves, and you use an existing business to do it while you learn the ropes.

I found that there are a few other companies on the net that offer affiliate or associate programs however, one has to be very, very careful about who you sign up with or give your money to. I have started many programs, one of them is a program called the Guardian Online WatchDog. I help to keep an eye on the scams and investigate.

In spite of this, an online business can be a very satisfying and rewarding career move for anyone. Finding the right business to be associated with and getting the best support possible is crucial to learning how to start your own online business. With the proper help and good information you can be up and running in a day. Like anything else though, don’t expect to get rich overnight. Although it can be a fairly simple matter to start your business it takes effort, motivation, and dedication to succeed. I recommend finding a business that you can sign up as an Affiliate, Associate, or Partner to start with. It might cost you a small up front fee, or monthly partnership or membership fee (a whole lot less expensive than a franchise), but this will give you an existing business to learn with and, if you work at it, make some money.

Once you are comfortable with the whole process of marketing and advertising on the web, and you feel you have a good idea for your own business, Go For It!

Great Success to you all!

Online Business: Work Smarter, Not Harder

Online Business: Work Smarter, Not Harder

by: Keith E Bryan

Online business is probably the fastest growing market on the planet. With over 34 million web pages out there and more being created every day it seems like an almost hopeless prospect for the solo home business owner to achieve any sort of success. Think of the competition…….right? Well, almost.

For those of us that have been raised in a world where a small business owner works like a dog to keep their creation from going bankrupt it seems almost unfathomable to even think of competing with the กbigก companies. If youกve ever known anyone that owns a business think back to the first few years of their entrepreneurial venture. Youกve probably never seen anyone so tired/overworked/stressed/worried in your life. This is what most people think of when someone mentions กstarting your own businessก.

The beauty of the modern online business is that practically everything can be automated. This is not to say that there is no work involved in starting a business on the internet. The difference from business twenty years ago and business today is astounding! If you plan your online business well you can accomplish in minutes what just twenty years ago would have taken hours, if not days.

Lets run through some of the options available to you to make your online experience less stressful and time consuming. Letกs find out how to work Smarter, not Harder.

First things first……. We have to build a website.

This alone scares many people. กI don’t know HTMLก or กI can’t afford to have a page built for meก are things I hear all the time when talking to people about online business. Letกs get something straight…… you DO NOT need to know how to program better than the top site designers at EBay in order to make a web page. I know many people with minimal HTML knowledge that have done exceedingly well in online business.

There are many template systems out there that make building a completely functional web page as easy as copy and paste. One I frequently recommend is the Powersite System (http://powersitesystem.com). Itกs simple and effective and lets the new business owner focus on adding content, not scanning endless lines of code or constantly uploading your updated page to the server from a desktop program.

Youกll need to pick key words for your site which can easily be accomplished with websites like Wordtracker. Pick key words that will get you some traffic but aren’t going to be impossible to get your site ranked. More on this……..

http://bizwhiz.com/article362.html

Then you need to find a domain name www.valuename.com works just fine and is cheap. Look for a domain name that contains your key words and is fairly easy to remember, the shorter the better for simplicity. (ie: avoid picking www.ThisisMyBusinessSiteandYouShouldLookatIt12345.com)

Next Step…… Adding Content / Products

If your page is going to be informational there are many great article services out there. Here are a few…..

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/article_announce/

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/netwritepublishannounce/

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/publisher_network/

http://thePhantomWriters.com

If you are going to sell actual products youกll probably want to look into working with a dropshipper (unless you have a big garage to store all the products you will be selling) There are many out there. Here is one Iกve heard great things about…..

http://www.mydssd.com

And then…… Exchanging Links

The best way to move up in the search engines (to gain traffic) is to have many related pages linking to yours. Link exchange websites like Link Partners are a great way to find sites to exchange relevant links with. Much of this can be automated to save you time and effort……. all you have to do is approve links you want and decline the ones you don’t.

You can also do a search in a few of the major search engines for your selected keywords……. the sites that pop up at the top of the search are the ones you would ideally like to exchange links with to boost your rankings.

Last one…….. Get an Auto Responder

This is a service that will send automatic email messages for you at preprogrammed times that you select. Set one up to send out occasional information about your site to your members, use it to keep in touch with your customers, get feedback about your site to help you improve….. etc. You won’t actually NEED this feature until you are getting heavy traffic to your site, but itกs a handy time saving tool for busy webmasters.

Thatกs basically it! Rinse and Repeat.

Of course thereกs always more things that you might like to try to improve your business but those are the basics. Try new things and track the results. See what works for your site and go from there. The secret to online business is to jump in and get wet…… do SOMETHING and work on improving things from there…… one step at a time.

Online Guru or Scam Artist: How Can You Tell?

Online Guru or Scam Artist: How Can You Tell?

by: Michele Schermerhorn

You want to start your own online business. You want the financial independence from corporate America. You want to pursue your dreams. You need help. Who do you call?

Unfortunately, as the web has grown so have the undesirable elements too. The web is a microcosm of the real world. There are honest merchants and trainers. But there are also those looking to prey on inexperienced people. Before you get sucked into a bad situation and spend hundreds of dollars, read this article. As you read this article, do not accept what I say blindly. Test it against your own experience.

Every day, I’m certain you receive many emails promising you everything from cheap Canadian drugs to making big money fast at eBay. The first way to identify an online scam artist is by his SPAM. The spam emails you receive should trigger the same signals in your brain as the spore left by predators around the chicken coop. A reputable online business will not send SPAM (unsolicited email). A reputable company or individual will work hard to earn your business by publishing articles online, working on their website’s search engine results, and providing you with a content rich website. So, the first sign of the online scam artist is his SPAM email. Just delete any you receive. But, how do you find the right company or individual to support you?

Start with a search engine, like google.com or teoma.com. Search for terms like ขsmall business forumข, ขsmall business adviceข, ขsmall business newslettersข, and ขhome based business resourcesข. Looking at the resulting search results, avoid those search results that start with phrases like ขbusiness opportunityข or ขwork from home and make $50,000ข. Come on! You know that just doesn’t sound right. If they knew how to make a fortune with very little effort, do you think they’d be teaching others how to do it? So what do you look for? Sites that offer articles from true professionals in the field of online business.

Read the articles that interest you. Listen carefully to what the writer is saying. If they are painting a reasonable expectation and answering your unasked questions, check out their website. Reputable people will work very hard placing articles on reputable sites where you can find them. They will work for your business.

Now that you’re on their site, what do you look for to determine if this company or individual is right for you? First, read the contents of their site. Is it focused on you, the potential customer? Does it give you relevant information, or just a sales pitch? Is it trying to get you to a free seminar without any other option of contacting the company? Does it give you a clear roadmap of how it intends to deliver on the promises it’s making? If they aren’t attempting to inform you so you can make a decision that’s best for you, RUN! (In other words, skip their site and go to the next).

As a side note: Stay away from academic organizations. They tend to know the theory of creating a successful online business. You want someone who has created a successful online business and knows what to do based upon experience, not theory. Read the biographies of the people heading the company. Are the biographies focused upon real world accomplishments? Read how they operate. After you sign with them, will you be handed off to some hourly employee or will you work with someone who has actually created an online business?

Once you find one or two options that look good for you, sign up for their free seminar. Every reputable company has an online free seminar. Unfortunately, so does every online scam artist, so before the seminar, do some research. Start by contacting the Better Business Bureau where the company is located to research any prior complaints. Go to google.com or teoma.com, or any other search engine, and put the company’s name in the search box. If anyone is really mad at them, results will come back. This is a case where ขno news is good newsข. Now that you know the company doesn’t have an already documented bad reputation, it’s time to attend the seminar.

Now that it’s time for the free seminar, what should you listen for?

Do they emphasize the money to be made, and downplay or ignore the effort required to accomplish that task?

Do they promise you to do the work for you?

Do they promise a lot of ขfreeข things?

Do they offer a moneyback guarantee? Though this may sound good as a sales pitch, few of them deliver on that promise.

Do they allow you to ask questions at some point in the seminar or do they keep themselves insulated from you and your concerns?

When the seminar is over, do you get to talk with the person who will be your coach/mentor, or do you only get to talk to a salesman only?

Let’s say everything is sounding good and you think you want to sign up. What now?

Follow these simple guidelines and you can avoid a costly mistake:

Don’t talk to a salesman! ALWAYS ask to talk to the person who will be coaching you.

Ask them about their experience and make certain you will feel comfortable working with them for the long term.

Be sure they are asking you tough questions to make certain you are a good candidate to be successful in their program. No reputable company wants to sell you a program you will fail at. Reputable companies count on happy customers telling other people about their company.

Make certain you understand the program and what you will be required to do to be successful.

Don’t fall for any ขearly bird registration discountsข. If you need time to think about this decision, a reputable company will understand that. Have as many conversations as it takes to feel comfortable. If they want to sign you fast, what kind of service do you expect once they have your money?

Is it easy to spot a scam artist online? It is if you follow the simple guidelines laid out in this article and if you listen to that small voice in your head that keeps repeating ขthis sounds too good to be trueข.

Easy Steps To Start Your Online Business

Easy Steps To Start Your Online Business

by: Craig Cawthorne

Start with a plan

Anyone who has ever started and managed a successful business, internet or otherwise, knows that it requires research and planning. Your business should not be a get rich quick scheme that is thrown together haphazardly.

Take time to explore what it is you want to accomplish. If you expect to be successful then plan your work and work your plan. Doing it any other way will lead to costly mistakes that could be fatal to your hopes of ever creating a solid online business.

Determine your interest

The first step in building your online business is to find an area where you have a great interest or passion in. Hereกs how you can accomplish this:

Take time to brainstorm the best website concepts that will work for you. It is much easier to build a successful online business if you love what you are doing.

If you can’t find your passion, create one. Find something that grabs your interest and plunge into it until it becomes your passion.

If all else fails, go for the money. Research what is popular and sells. Find out what people want and sell it to them. You will greatly enhance your chances of success by doing so. There are a number of places where you can go to determine what sells. Just do some surfing. You will soon find something to catch your fancy.

Determine your target audience

Once you have determined your interest, determine your audience. Your audience will affect the design and content of your web site. Ask yourself these questions:

Who is it that I expect to visit my website?

How will they find my web site?

What is their age, gender, education, computer experience, etc.?

What does my audience want; ebooks, article, ezines etc.?

What do I want them to do after they reach my site; request information, sign up for something or, order something?

What inticements will convince them to stay and revisit my web site?

Answering questions like these will be a critical step in the development of your online business. They will help you to focus on what important steps you must take to promote your business. In the end they will help you to increase your web site revenue, maximize your marketing spending, improve you web page customer conversions, increase your brand awaremess and reinforce your customer loyalty.

Conclusion

Remember that an effective online business starts with a clear set of objectives. Before launching an ebusiness be sure to explore and evaluate both your business and personal goals. It may take some time to thoroughly think through these business building concepts but once done, you will be able to use the information you have accrued, to build a comprehensive and thoughtful business plan that will help you reach your goal of making money online.

Being Successful in Spite of Others

Being Successful in Spite of Others

by: Craig Friesen

My mother thinks I am lazy. I confess that I have stopped listening to her. Just because I do not enjoy ten hour days at the office and would rather spend more time at home with my two boys and lovely wife does not mean I am lazy. I simply have a different perspective about work and earning a living.

My motherกs reaction to me telling her I have an online business has taught me some things which I gladly share with anyone who has a moment to listen.

First, as difficult as it may seem sometimes, surround yourself with positive thinkers. I know my parents mean well, but there are better ways of expressing concern than saying something like, กwhy don’t you start a real business?ก If this means that you share details of what you are doing very sparingly than do so. Think up some succinct but brief responses to friends and family who ask about ‘the online thing you are doingก when you know they do not really want to know. Do not waste your energy trying to explain to people who really do not want to understand. Let them know if they are serious about learning more you would gladly send them some information.

Secondly, appreciate the freedom you have to own and operate an online business. The opportunities are much more expensive offline because of all the potential cost overheads that must be faced. With an online business your expenses could be as minute as the cost of a computer (even leased at $50 per month) plus Internet access. Besides, if I do not want my mother to know that I have an online business I do not need to tell her.

There is no store lease or inventory to give me away. I can do everything late at night or early in the morning. I can even call in sick from my กday jobก to get my web site back up with no one but those I live with any wiser. In fact, it is precisely this freedom that draws many of us to a home based business online, right?

Lastly, and some what of a counter point to #1 above, if what you are doing is enjoyable and worthwhile, then there is no need to apologize for it. In fact, your excitement about what you do can change othersก negativity into something beneficial. This is a lesson in independence and selfconfidence. While it is certainly important to have support and accountability with people you trust, this does not have to mean success comes only when they approve.

Sometimes people just do not understand. Not everyone lives with computers the way you do. For many, business will always mean four walls and a sign outside. Your confidence and pride in what you are doing will help others to believe in you and possibly want to join you.

Persist Or Perish, The Choice Is Yours: Learn The

Persist Or Perish, The Choice Is Yours: Learn The Rules Of Online Business

by: Arun Pal Singh

Everybody wants quick profits. The phenomenon is more prevalent on the net as compared to offline business. The situation is only worsened by those ever coming awe inspiring success stories where previously ‘a nobody’ made millions overnight. While these stories may invigorate the desire to be rich overnight, there is always ‘the other side’ that is never brought into the picture and never asked too.

Until and unless you are highly gifted or have a knack of making money the quick profits are no more than folklore. If you are new to online business you must first understand the rule of the business before fueling the ever expanding expectation.

The so called overnight success stories just present the tip of iceberg. Firstly very few people achieve that kind of success. Secondly more often than not there is an equivalent amount of hard work which has been put in before the guy became a success.

The person in question might have been on the net for quite some time before he hit the idea that led to profits. Nobody tells this when success stories are written. And surprisingly nobody searches too. But that is the usual case.

Online business is a business after all. One needs to study the market and understand the tools and techniques before he can shoot. Like everything else there is a learning curve. That may be shorter in some cases. It too depends how much time you put in to understand that. And it depends on your background.

One thing is for sure. Nobody can wake up one fine morning, jump into foray of online business and expect windfalls.

No! It will not happen. The chances of this happening are as remote and bleak as your driving a car when you do not know how to drive. You need to learn the thing first. There will be frequent stalls and rough rides before you gain the control. Then you need to learn the traffic maneuvers. But by and by one gains control.

Many magical products have failed before they fell into the competent hands. So when you read a story and get inspired, just pause and think.

Starting an online business is damn easy. In couple of dollars everything from products to website will be yours.

After this comes the difficult part of making the sales.

There are a lot of things you need to know, assimilate and apply before you can bang. Every thing takes time. Here is where the experience counts. If internet is a new world to you then you need to hang on and learn before you can raise your graph to the desired level.

You need to be persistent. You need to be perseverant. You need to learn and apply.

It is much easier to do business on the net than the offline business.

But it is not a cakewalk either.

You need to stay and spend time on the net before you become proficient. The quick profits will not come until you have learned to breathe in the new environment and mastered some of the marketing techniques.

Till that time you should carefully put a lid on your expectation.

After that it is all fun.

The voice you heard by the majority of people in the Net is true, the real true money generating machine is to offer your own product or service where you can keep 100% of the profits.

Before you even start creating or introduce your own product or service, you should do some research to check the target market size, competitors and the available pricing methods available for the type of product or service that you intend to offer.

The most common product that people develop are ebook or what is commonly known as info product. It is based on the experience that you have accumulated over the years either through your jobs or hobbies and convert them into writings.

Everyone of us have a special skills and things that we do better than the rest. You can further expand your knowledge database via further education or selfeducation in order to create the business.

Many new business are created not by developing new products or services but by improving something that already exists. The initial innovators of products might received lots of recognition for their innovation might not know how to make the product appeal to the mass consumers and sell like hot cakes. Subsequent bright businessmen or women succeeded in relaunching the same product after some improvement as they are able to saw the mistakes that have been made and was able to capitalized on it.

The movies industry is the best example, many movies are just about repackaging to appeal to the movies consumers. Why develop new super heroes when you can make good money from old familiar heroes like Spiderman. Many movies goers grows up watching Spiderman cartoon and although they maybe adults now, they still enjoy it like when they was young. It is so familiar with them.

Therefore, time spend trying to find brand new idea should instead be spend on improving existing idea. The most important criteria is to try and find a NEED which you can filled.

For improving your business success rate, try not to go into a hot industries that are already overcrowded with suppliers unless you can offer something cheaper and better than them and still make a profit. Finding a niche market is a better strategy as an unique product or service will increase your chances of success.

Starting a Work At Home Online Business means that you should look for product or service that can be sold online and delivered to people living around the world. It should be cheaper or more convenience to order online rather than offline.

The most famous successful niche finder is Amazon.com. The books they sold already exist offline and by bringing it online and pricing its books competitively, they slowly build up their niche market and have now become the world largest online books sellers.

Therefore, open your eyes wide and start looking at things around you and think of ways to improve them.

Basics of Starting an Online Business

Basics of Starting an Online Business

by: Shannon Emmanuel

So you’re ready to dive in are you?

The Internet has made a valuable contribution to the working world; it has created a ‘virtual’ workforce that has chosen to create their own incomes from the comfort of home. Without all the expense and time it takes to set up a traditional business, individuals can build their own business without anything more than their desktop computer.

This is a world where everyone’s dreams seem possible. But what really are the basics of an online business?

Computer and the Internet:

Granted, this must be obvious to anyone considering an Internet based business, but definitely take a look at what you’re working with. You will be spending a lot of time with these basic tools. Having reliable service and equipment is essential to your business success.

Website:

Website development is not what it used to be. It could easily cost you $3000 $10000 for a website in the notsodistant past. Now there are free templates, user friendly interactive building tools, and lots of cheap services to help you out.

Traffic:

Become familiar with this term, it will take on a whole new meaning. In the ‘real’ world, traffic is a bad thing. For your online business, it is the lifeblood. When potential customers visit your website, we call it Traffic. The methods of obtaining traffic are diverse and plentiful. Finding quality traffic is a level of marketing you will need to learn as you go.

Advertising:

This is the key element in obtaining your traffic. Many advertising techniques that were booming a few years ago are now ineffective if not downright a waste of time and money. Methods change very quickly on the Internet, and you need to stay informed. There are plenty of resources that provide quality information on the topic.

Automation:

The ‘buzz’ for online businesses is to be completely automated. There are a variety of ways to do this, but in essence you want to provide your product, service or information in a process that eliminates the need for your constant supervision. Allowing the customer to browse, select, purchase and receive their selections immediately. Depending on your business, some or all of these needs can be met. By planning your business in a manner that encompasses as many of these points as possible you will get ahead of the game.

Bringing your business ideas to the Internet can be a fruitful and inspiring process. However, just as in the offline world, businesses take time and effort to develop. Avoid being distracted by promises of ‘instant wealth’ and focus on creating a viable business that can change your future for the long term.

How We Created a Thriving Online Business

How We Created a Thriving Online Business

by: Scott Rauvers

Six months ago, as our first job experience after graduating from college, my best friend and I started an online music store. That made us immediately stand out from the crowd. We haven’t started advertising yet, online or elsewhere. We had no prior business experience, programming knowledge, or any idea of how the music industry works. Weกve made almost every mistake possible. And success has never seemed so easy. Why? We merely applied the essential business principle which seems to be lacking in both the music and Internet communities, and that made us immediately stand out from the crowd.

Having a brandnew business pay both its bills and ours from the very first week was rewarding, but the qualitative benefits are much greater. One of our customers keeps buying records from us (over $150 worth so far) even though she still doesn’t have a record player. Bands we don’t release ask if they can put our name and logo on their new CDs. A customer of our monthly music subscription service spontaneously started sending us copies of rare music from his collection each month. Every day our inbox is filled with messages which tell us that MeteorCity (our company) is the greatest thing since air travel. Each week a different customer calls or writes us asking if we would like to stay at his or her home. Our customers asked us to release a CD, and now that itกs one week from coming out we continuous get calls from magazines and stores telling us that our customers want them to review and carry it. And, as you can imagine from all this, over sixty percent of our customers order from us againat least once a month.

How did this happen? Itกs so simple itกs amazing. Customer service. We try to respond to each customer individually, and when we get too many orders to do that, we still let them know that they’re importantsuch as by dropping emails to let them know that we will answer their questions as soon as possible. We learned how to program, coordinate with distributors, and produce CDs on our own as we went along; but customer service we wielded as our most essential tool from day one.

I wish this was as obvious as it sounds. If it was, our jobs would be much easier. But treating customers well is definitely not a universal maxim these days. I have experienced this on the Internet by ordering from our competitors; almost invariably, they ignore our questions, botch our orders and fail to follow our requests. In the music industry, itกs even worse. Stores, labels and distributors seem to try to make it as hard to order from them as possible. In some cases weกve simply abandoned going through the official outlets and bought CDs from wellknown bands directly through their managers. In other cases, we have to pay large fees for money orders to enable us to purchase soughtafter imports. Not surprisingly, our customers are thrilled when they can later get the same CDs from us by just punching in a credit card number. We deal with the ineptitude of the outside world so our customers don’t have to.

Perhaps the most amazing thing weกve learned, fresh out of college and with no training in any of the areas we’re succeeding in, is that the executives we talk to over the phone don’t know what they’re doing, either. The only difference is that we’re more polite.

Our online business has a long ways to go. We have a lot more ideas than money to pay for them all. But tonight, having just received a letter from a girl who was out drinking with friends and then went home to write a long letter to her favorite music store, Iกm completely confident that our customers will stick by us and tell their friends about us as we continue to learn.

The Internet connects everyone whoกs on it, and makes them all equals. Weกve heard this a thousand times, because this phrase has become part of our pop culture. So why do so many businesses persist on designing their pages and treating their customers as if the customers are merely inessential observers in the whole online experience? The Web is interactive. If you keep this in mind, and interact with your customers in a helpful and friendly way, your small business on the Internet can easily surpass the larger organizations which still haven’t grasped this essential Internet principle.
