Can You Own Your Own Store On eBay, Even Though You Do Not Own Any Products?!

by: Karin Boode

Can you own your own store on eBay, even though you do not own any products?!

You have sold a few items here and there on eBay and really enjoyed doing it. You got a great price for all your items. You would really like to sell more and, down the road, maybe quit your job. But you don’t have any products to sell, nor is your twobedroom apartment big enough to keep a serious inventory. So, you wonder whether selling on eBay is realistic for you…………..

If the above is you, I would like to share my experiences with you. But first, let me assure you that not owning products and no space for storage should not stop you from setting up shop on eBay!

If you have a computer, an internet connection and the determination to make it happen, you, too, can be on your way to selling on eBay full time!

Here is how I did it: I started by writing down the areas I know (somewhat) and enjoy, thinking that it would be easier to sell products I know a little about. With this knowledge in mind, I looked for wholesalers that showed an interest in working with me. I also looked for the demand for these products. Based on this information I determined the price I wanted for the products and as a result the profit these products would generate. I picked the ones that seemed to give me the best prices and the biggest opportunity in terms of profit. At this point a lot of questions were answered. But there were still a lot more that needed answers. Questions like: what type of auction to use, and how long to have the auction for. I was not sure either, at what price to start the auction. What would be too much? And can you start too low or too high?

I was wondering how important it would be to have a broad range of products and what the impact would be of the layout of the auction. I decided to use the same layout that worked well for others. This way I figured I would take the least amount of risk.

When I started selling more I started realizing that it would be nice to automate some of the tasks that I was still doing by hand. Like, automatically, sending a conformation email to the person who won the auction. I did this myself for a while, but it does get very time consuming.

I also wondered whether other auction sites are available that are better suited for my products and/or would yield better sales.

Believe it or not, but I did find answers to my questions. Some by spending a lot of time surfing the internet, and some by using a course I found on the internet. The course was particularly effective. I could read the text at my leisure and then, at the end of each step, I would have homework, to practice the lesson learned. It helped me get over my initial hesitation to actually do what I knew had to be done. And after doing it once I could do it again and again and again. I found out how to get more people to come to my auctions and what it takes to make them want to buy my products. It is amazing to me how easy the process really is, once you know how it works.

There are many eBay courses out there and they will all be instrumental in getting you started. I do recommend that you find one that shows you step by step how the process works, and that makes you go through the motions by executing the steps yourself. This way you get over the initial hesitation to actually do what you just learnt. In case you are interested, I used the course from www.howtomakemoneyinauctions.com.

Good luck selling online!

Transforming Problems into Sales

Transforming Problems into Sales

by: Jeremy Cohen

My silent fish tank was no more. Enough water had evaporated to make the filter gurgle. It was highly annoying and I knew I wouldn’t be at ease until it was silent again, so I filled the tank.

Did I fill it to satisfy a want or a need? Does it really matter? Probably not.

The gurgling tank was an unacceptable problem that required a solution: more water. I was able to solve the problem on my own. If it had turned out that my fish tank gurgled because my filter was broken I would have needed a new filter.

Filters Don’t Flow from My Tap

Where would I get a filter? How would I decide where to shop first?

There is a pet store chain in New York City that has been advertising its business for decades. When I first moved to my current neighborhood I noticed one of their stores a couple of blocks from my home. I would go there for my new filter without hesitation. I know that they have fish tank filters, exactly what I’d need to solve my problem.

Do your prospects know you have exactly what they need to solve their problems?

To sell more you must demonstrate to more prospects that you have just what they want. There are two ways you can work toward this goal:

Market to a larger audience

Improve your marketing material to attract more attention

It makes sense to do both. You can sell more by using the same marketing material to market to a larger, targeted audience. You can also increase sales by enhancing your marketing material to be noticed by more of the prospects you currently target.

Marketing to a larger audience is simple but can be quite expensive and improving your marketing material may seem like a daunting task. You can make this second task easier by knowing how to approach it.

Help Your Prospects Focus on You

When your prospects encounter your marketing material they should experience the familiar feeling of looking in a mirror.

Creating a sense of familiarity for your prospects when they absorb your marketing material helps eliminate a barrier to making a sale. People are more likely to buy from someone with whom they feel familiar. When we see ourselves in a mirror we see a clear and familiar image.

You can create a sense of familiarity for your prospects by focusing your marketing material around their problems.

Problems tend to strike an emotional chord within each of us. When we have emotional reactions we tend to become more alert to our surroundings. You can take advantage of this reaction by including client problems in your marketing material. You will increase your chance of being noticed, remembered and making a sale by presenting your marketing material to someone who has recently become more alert.

What problems do your clients have?

What problems do you solve?

Being noticed more often is good. You will sell more. However, you will sell even more if a greater percentage of the people who notice and read your marketing material take the next step and contact you.

To be contacted by more prospects your marketing material must attract attention and also clearly demonstrate believable value.

What value do you provide?

Are your offers believable or too good to be true?

How can you integrate client problems and the value you provide into your marketing material?

The answer is to use a marketing message. A marketing message is a highly specific set of words you can use to attract and demonstrate value to your prospects.

With a marketing message focused around client problems you will sell more with less effort.

What’s your marketing message?

How To Master The Art And Science Of Super Salesma

How To Master The Art And Science Of Super Salesmanship In 3½ Minutes Flat!

by: Dan Lok Lok

Dear Friend,

You #1 weapon in advertising will always be…

Superior Salesmanship.

I am not a born salesman.

If you know my story, I didn’t even have a word of the English language on my lips when I first moved to North America. (Even now, my spoken English is not all that great and it comes with an accent that would put Arnold Schwarzenegger or Jackie Chan to shame.)

No, I wasn’t born to sell. I had to learn selling… the HARD way: making embarrassing mistakes, blowing deals right and left, losing clients… and going to outrageous extremes trying to identify the worldclass salesmen who would teach me the way to do things right.

Well, itกs taken a few years… quite a few years, Iกll admit, but now Iกve identified the ‘tricks of the tradeก of selling.

What Took Me Years Will Be Yours In 3 ½ Minutes Flat!

Tricks of the Trade #1 People don’t like to be sold

Thatกs right! Although every year, trillions of dollars worth of goods and services are bought and sold billions through the mail alone people actually don’t like the IDEA of being sold.

What they DO like is the idea of OWNING the product, or taking advantage of the service that is being sold.

Look at the people in your own life friends, family, or business colleagues. Many of them, no doubt, love to buy things. (My girlfriend has a ขblack beltข in shopping) But Iกll bet that none of them like to be sold.

In fact, with most people, if you try to sell them something, theyกll become resistant. Itกs a natural response to perceived pressure.

In fact, selling may turnoff a prospect who was ready to buy. So if you can’t SELL, what you can do is TELL. In order to tell you about my product or service:

I get your attention…

I build rapport with you…

I explain what’s in it for you…

I tempt you by appealing to your emotions…

I create a verbal picture that teases your desires…

I demonstrate how my stuff can easily solve your problems…

I can prove to you that there’re a lot people just like you who have bought and are very happy with my stuff…

I make you an absolutely irresistible offer…

I describe a deal where you risk nothing, and yet stand to gain a great deal…

I handle every single one of your objections…

This is exactly what youกve gotta do when you’re writing a sales letter. Don’t apply pressure and don’t bully your prospect with force. Use a little finesse instead. Don’t force it romance the hell out of it.

If you TELL you, I don’t have to SELL you… youกll sell yourself!

(And that’s killer salesmanship, my friend!)

Tricks of the Trade #2 Hit ‘Em Where It Hurts:

With each sales pitch you create, you must focus on the need or desire that your product will satisfy.

If we only buy what we NEED, there’ll be No Rolex, No BMW, No Mercedes, No Botox, and definitely NO Starbucks coffee. We certainly don’t NEED any of that stuff, but we WANT them!

Here’s what most people are looking for in one way or another:

More money

More free time

More respect

Better physical health

Better mental health

Less stress

Remember, people buy what they WANT, not what they NEED.

Tricks of the Trade #3 Even When They’re Sold, People Need To Satisfy Their Emotional Decisions With Logic

Even though people buy for emotional reasons, they need to feel that their decision was backed by solid logical reasons.

Think about TV commercials for cars. They offer a perfect picture of กjustification.ก

Hereกs how they work:

First, thereกs a stirring image of the car itself – beautiful, stylish, new. (In your head: Wow! That car looks cool…)

In the background, there’s a mountainous landscape (In your head: Wow! Thatกs rugged… like me!) or a fivestar hotel (In your head: Wow! That car would give me status.ก

And, of course, no car commercial would be complete without a beautiful, sexy woman. (In your head: …letกs not go there!)

Next, you see an interior shot to show how luxurious your life will be with this car. You get to listen to stateoftheart sound system. (In your head: Hmm… I can listen to my favorite music.)

Then, there’s a shot of the car driving by the ocean. Put it all together and you have an effective 20second movie that’s designed entirely to appeal to emotion.

But wait, the car commercials don’t stop here.

Oh…no way. At the end, they กget down to businessก with numerous bits and pieces of information – the size of the engine, statistics on fuel economy, speed, weight, interior space, rankings in national survey, financing information and customer satisfaction reports, and so on.

It flashes by at lightening speed, usually so quickly that you can’t read it.

But Don’t Worry: All This Data Isn’t Meant To Sell The Car.

It’s included to make YOU feel good and justify the decision you’ve already made. (I’m gonna buy that baby now or when I got some money because itกs the SMART thing to do!)

The lesson: People CAN be convinced, when the facts are explained, when the risk is taken away, and when their deepest, most selfish desires have been tickled and nurtured and seduced.

All right, time’s up! Whew… right on time. 3½ minutes. (Hey, I don’t just always ขhypeข the headline to get you to read my stuff, do I?)

Until next time…

Successful Internet Marketing StrategiesA Better

Successful Internet Marketing StrategiesA Better Approach To Save You Time And Money While Generating Huge Profits

by: Eric J. Borden

Thinking of starting an Internet business? Maybe you have one and are looking for additional products to sell? Choosing the right business and products are crucial to achieving online success. This is the question facing every Internet entrepreneur. However, you should not be asking yourself what products do I need to sell to achieve this online success. Indeed, the better questions would be: กWhat market niche(Specific group of potential customers) should I target and what are their current problems and needs? What goods/service could I offer to fill those needs and is my market willing to pay for them? What is the current competition and how can I be unique in the marketplace?ก Few marketers actually do the research to answer these questions properly, therefore, never obtaining the profits they so desire.

Common Mistakes of an Internet Marketer:

They sell products in which they have no interest or desire. You must have a passion for what you are selling. If not, your customers will perceive this and not buy from you.

No defined marketing strategy: They don’t know to whom they are selling, what their needs are and how to reach them.

The online marketerกs strategy consists of selling to everyone. They have no clear definition of กwho their target market is.ก Does this sound familiar? Many internet entrepreneurs have made this unfortunate mistake, including myself. They find a product to sell, put together a website, submit it to the search engines, and wait for the orders to come rolling in. However, in reality how often is this successful? Practically never!

They spend countless hours and thousands of dollars on a product and website without answering the questions that were posed in the opening paragraph.

Solutions to the Internet Marketerกs Mistakes:

Find an easytotarget niche market, one that is easy identifiable. Also, it must be an industry that generates interest, desire and passion for you. Because this is going to be your business, a part of your life. You will need to spend a great deal of time researching and developing it. Being associated with something of interest will greatly increase your odds of success. If you have a passion about a certain subject, customers will sense it and be more motivated to buy from you.

The easiest method of determining a new business idea is to brainstorm. By asking yourself the following questions will elicit a series of hot and profitable business ventures.

What do you enjoy doing?

What is your current occupation?

Did you acquire specialized skills, knowledge and talents from your job?

Hobbies you enjoy?

How do you spend your free time?

What did you enjoy doing as a child?

What were your favorite subjects in school?

What materials do you read on a regular basis?

If you had a choice of a career, what would it be?

If you are still drawing a blank after reviewing these questions, don’t worry. My Marketing Research Report: Internet Money Making Ideas Explored tests a variety of potential markets to determine those that have the most potential to succeed. This report can be found at http://www.ideasexplored.com (You are free to use any of the business subjects I mention.) The next step would be to test the ideas from your list. Apply the methods I describe in my Research Ezine that can be found in the section Preparing a Product Market Study: It will take you through the process stepbystep to help determine if your proposed business venture would be profitable.

If you are currently selling on the Internet and are looking for additional products to offer, try the following:

Send a questionnaire to your current customer list. Ask what products and services they would like to see on your website. You could provide a free gift or discount for their response.

Look for products that complement your current inventory. Try to produce as many addon sales as possible. These added sales can generate huge profits for an Internet business. For example, if you are selling fitness equipment, merchandise such as nutritional supplements and exercise courses would be excellent addon choices. You could sell it as a package and promote it as ‘the Complete System to Health and Fitnessก.

Identify your nichemarket: Know who they are, their buying habits and what products most appeal to them. Do not try to reach everyone, select a specific group of people that are ready, willing and able buyers for your product and or service.

The best way to approach this is by studying newsgroups and message boards. By reading the posted messages, these forums can provide a wealth of information. This is also described in my Preparing a Product Market Study. The steps mentioned in the Study can help you solve a number of the biggest mysteries regarding your nichemarket. From this Study, you will learn some valuable information. Such as the needs, wants and problems of your market. What product or service to offer and how it would benefit the customer. Finally, it shows what sales strategies are the most effective.

The easiest method to organize this information and create a winning strategy is to setup a Problem, Feature, Benefit and Solution Worksheet. Also know as the PFBS equation, this statement can be your most valuable tool in identifying the needs and wants of your target market. It will show what products to market and how to sell them.

HOW A PFBS EQUATION WORKS.

Take a sheet of paper and write across the top: Problem, Feature, Benefit and Solution. Then make a list for each topic:

Problem: Make notes of the current problems or needs your target market faces. Later, you will provide solutions to these problems with your product.

Feature: List the various selling points of your product and what features set it apart from the competition. This is where you want to stress your competitive advantages.

Benefit: Now describe what benefit or reward each one of these features offer.

Solution: Finally you want to illustrate that purchasing your product will solve their problems, needs and wants.

Note: Answers to this equation will show you what products to offer and how to develop copy that will effectively sell these products to your target market.

The following is an example of a PFBS equation:

I will use my ebook Internet Marketing on a Shoestring Budget as the topic of study. This book contains various low cost marketing strategies that can be applied to an Internet business. A copy can be found at http://www.ideasexplored.com

After determining the nichemarket, my book targets a Problem, Feature Benefit and Solution statement can help determine needs and wants.

Problem

Spending too much money on advertising technique.

Feature

Low cost marketing.

Benefit

Save money

Solution

Cutting ad budget while increasing profit

Another example:

Problem:

Ineffective Ads.

Feature:

Productive ad strategies.

Benefit:

Generate Profit.

Solution:

Better R.O.I.

Note: Conducting a proper Market Research study is crucial in determining the problems facing the customers you are trying to reach. If you need assistance with your study: See Marketing Research and Analysis that can be found in the book Internet Marketing on a Shoestring Budget. A Bonus Product that can be found at: www.ideasexplored.com. The sections about studying Messages boards and Newsgroups provide useful information about needs and wants.

The answers to the PFBS questions will show what products to offer how to effectively sell them.

Finding the right products to sell are crucial to your online success. Therefore, a study of the market we want to target is essential before a marketing campaign can begin. Some ways to gather this information is by studying message boards, newsgroups and sending questionnaires to your current customer base. What you learn from these methods can be applied to a PFBS equation or a Problem, Feature, Benefit and Solution Worksheet. The conclusions you draw from this table can guide you in starting or developing an Internet business.

What You Learn From A PFBS equation:

Hot products to sell

How to create a winning website

Killer Sales Copy

Goldmine of Wealth with 8 Internet Secrets

Goldmine of Wealth with 8 Internet Secrets

by: Dr. Jamie Fettig

Eight ideas that will change your life and a unique business idea you may never have thought of before:

1. The most important skill in Internet marketing is knowing how to find กhotก markets ‘research.ก

2. Research is like detective work. You look for evidence, follow the clues and draw conclusions.

3. As an Internet marketer, your first job is to find a กhotก online market to sell to. Product selection and advertising come later.

4. A กhotก online market is a market that is already actively buying products in a particular category.

For example:

Health กnutsก actively buy vitamins.

Martial arts fanatics actively buy training videos.

Fishermen actively buy fishing gear and lures.

Golfers actively buy new equipment and instructional courses.

Bridestobe actively buy all kinds of supplies and services for weddings.

There are literally hundreds of กhotก markets online.

The trick to success is to pick the market that you’re naturally excited about serving.

5. If you’re not able to define a market and describe exactly how you will deliver your sales message to the people in it, then itกs not a market.

6. The best places to find กhotก markets are in the *obvious* places.

Do you want to sell downloadable eBooks?

Then the ClickBank catalog is the best research tool for you.

Do you want to sell ‘real stuff?ก

Then visit Yahoo Stores and see what product categories are producing the most action.

Another good market research technique is to think of some search terms you might use if you were looking for a particular product on your favorite search engine. Then see what comes up.

If you see a lot of action in a marketplace thatกs a good indication that demand is high.

If demand is high, then there is probably room for your business, especially if you offer something กnew.ก

7. Once youกve selected the market you want to sell to, now is the time to figure out what to sell.

Notice that this is the method every experienced Internet marketing pro I know uses to start new Internetbased businesses.

Market research first, then products.

Beginners often get hung up on the details of their product idea.

8. The most successful products are products of quality that bring something new to an existing marketplace.

กNewก can mean many different things:

Sometimes กnewก means a new product that no one has ever seen before.

กNewก can also mean an improvement of an already wellknown product.

กNewก might even be an old product advertised in a new and imaginative way.

What this means is that you may not need to invent or create your own product in order to succeed on the Internet.

You can just as easily find an existing product, improve the way itกs advertised and make your fortune that way.

The method no one talks about.

What would you say if I told you that not only do you not need to create your own product to succeed on the Internet, but that you could also succeed without any of the normal hassles of running a business.

Iกm talking about having all the advantages of having a ‘realก business a customer list, a full blown product line, and all the employees you need without any of the hassles or risks.

Instead of starting your own online business to sell information or physical products, you can choose to partner with *existing* real world businesses and help them with their Internet marketing in exchange for a piece of the online action.

Sounds incredible, doesn’t it?

And itกs completely real.

The Effects of eBay on American Merchandising

The Effects of eBay on American Merchandising

by: David Espino

With one brilliantly simple idea, eBay was born just a few short years ago.

From its humble beginnings in the Collectibles business, it went on to achieve the lofty heights it enjoys today.

As eBay has continued to grow to over 30 million registered users, it has transformed the ability of individuals (as well as Corporations) to move product of all kinds.

eBay is now a place where virtually any item imaginable is available, for the right price.

With a few clicks of your mouse, the doors to the world marketplace are opened for you.

Similarly, with a few clicks of your mouse, the entire world can be viewing your merchandise for sale.

It is this awesome power that eBay gives to you, for a small fee.

Is it any wonder that large institutional sellers, such as the U.S. Postal Service, J.C. Penneys, various Police Departments and all types of Corporations have discovered the power and efficiencies of selling on eBay?

The drawback for the smaller seller is that, as more and more individual and institutional sellers sign on to sell on eBay, the supply of similar items will increase.

This increase in supply results in a decrease in demand, and with that decreased demand, lower ending bid amounts and lower profits for all sellers.

This has already begun to happen in some categories as ending bids continue their slow trend downward.

As sellers begin to see profits eroding due to too many sellers กplaying the gameก, the question of the day seems to be, กWhat is the best thing to sell on eBay?ก

The simple (and somewhat facetioussounding) answer is, กWhatever people are interested in that is not currently selling on eBay in mass quantitiesก.

More often than not, success on eBay results from a seller taking on a niche that they are familiar with and enjoy. Many of the top eBay sellers have built their entire business around a niche that they enjoy, such as a certain type of collectible, or a certain hobby, interest or sport.

If you take this approach, not only will you be happier doing that which you enjoy, but listing items will not become a กchoreก, it will be an enjoyable experience.

As eBay continues it’s trendline of massive growth, sellers must be increasingly aware of three things that will ensure opportunities for growth and success:

Opportunities for new products to sell

Alternative venues in which to sell their products

Advanced marketing techniques that can leverage their time and money

Ultimately, it is this extra awareness that will determine who the winners are in the game of Online Auction sales.

How to Sell your Website

How to Sell your Website

by: Matt Dobinson

There are hundreds and thousands of websites on the internet today being bought and sold and there are many places you can sell your website such as ebay and website brokers. Though this article we will explore each of these possibilities in greater details.

Ebay Selling a website on ebay can perfect for some and completely useless for others. As most people know ebay, it gets millions of hits every minute from people looking for everything from hair nets to race cars. For starters this is a great way to get word out that your website is for sale. It has lots of people viewing your ads but keep in mind your competition is feirce as so many people post sites for sale on ebay. To sell your website on ebay it has to stand out from the rest.

Forums Forums tend to be a great place to sell websites. They tend to ask alot more questions about statistics and revenue than most other places but if you have a quality site you can sometimes get alot more for it buy selling your website in forums. Good forums for this include sitepoint.com, geekvillage.com and webhostingtalk.com.

Website Brokers Website brokers normally go out and try to get you the best possible price for your website. They tend to have contacts in the industry and will get into contact with people you can’t or dont even know exist. They generally charge a fee of around 10%15%. There are a few websites around where you can post your website up to brokers kind of like a cross between ebay and a brokers firm.

Sell to your visitors A commonly used technique to get a good profit from the sale of your website is to post a กsite for saleก link or image on the frontpage of the site for sale. This targets the audience to people interested in the topic of the site. But be warned not all of these people are or want to be webmasters.

Personal Contact If you have a low budget, selling your website though your personal contact can be very rewarding. This takes everyone else out of the equation and you pay no broker fees or ad fees. If you plan on selling your website this way make sure you know enough people who would be intrested in the site.

Website Checklist

Before you get to putting up website for sale ads and hiring a site broker, there are a few things you will need. Firstly, find out in detail your statistics. This including unique visitors per day or month, bandwidth used per month and current and past revenue for the website. Most people who are in the industry will ask for the pagerank of the website too. You can find out your page rank by downloading the google toolbar and revisiting your website. A pagerank is considered by most webmasters as being a large factor.

Your Personal Fortune Is In Your Words!

Your Personal Fortune Is In Your Words!

by: Ron Pioneer

What is the most important skill you can possess as an Internet Marketer?

Your words!

The words you choose to use in your ad copy, in your sales letters and on your website will determine your success in sales!

Improve your กwordก skills daily. Read the ads that come to your mailbox (spam) and learn what words others are using to SELL their product. More important read your competitors ads. What words do they use to SELL their product?

Carl Jung did a study and has determined people fall into one of 4 groups:

1. Thinkers

2. Feelers

3. Sensors

4. Intuitors

Thinkers are detailed oriented, logical and their fear is criticism. They will check and recheck facts. Targeting this group you will need to use factual numbers, precise words outlining benefits of saving money and value for money spent. Be professional and conservative giving the thinker facts and space to make their decision.

Feelers are risk takers and highly competitive. Entrepreneurs and investors fall into this category. They are assertive and confident and do not have time to waste time. To target this group you will need to use กstrengthก words, saving time, money and appeal to health related issues. Be quick and confident with your words to attract a กfeelerก.

Sensors are idea people, advertising, writers…anything creative. People of this group are prone to buy กstatusก. Use words that will make them feel important, well liked, and recognized. The sensors are into things that will help them become more organized, they like software and books. Approach this group with friendship, show you are not กall businessก.

The Intuitors are excellent listeners and patient. They are slow in making decisions. They are กcomfortก people and if they are comfortable with you, will purchase from you. They are turned off by fast talking salespeople so you will need to make friends with them first, selling yourself and finding a common ground between you and them. Use comfort words.

Look at your product. Think about the above groups and write down words you feel would attract each group. Go to http://www.dictionary.com and http://www.thesaurus.com, expand on the words you have written down. Avoid hype but find some words that will spice up your adcopy.

Do not try to sell your product in your ad. You are only writing to your target group to get them to take the next step. The Top 10 The Top Ten Signs That Your Marketing M

The Top 10 The Top Ten Signs That Your Marketing Message Needs a Facelift

by: Bea Fields

Is your marketing plan dull, flat, and downright boring? Is it lacking the zest and appeal which can penetrate the consciousness of your buyers? If so, you may be driving away folks who could easily buy your products or services. If so, these ten signs from The 90 Day Marketing Marathon Blunders from A to Z: B is for Boring will support you in raising your awareness of what drives folks away and tips on how you can create a message which will catch fire in the market place.

1. Itกs all about you.

Folks are not interested in you and your accolades. They want to know what you can do to solve their problem of the day. Drop the focus on you, and turn the spotlight on what is important to your buyer.

2. It is filled with details and research.

People are bogged down in details and statistics. They are much more interested in buying from someone who shares their personal experiences and who is willing to build an open and honest relationship.

3. It lacks actionoriented words.

People love to buy Nike products, because the words กJust Do Itก communicate action. By using words such as run, dance, live, sing, move, or play, you will get your potential clients moving, excited about buying your product or service.

4. You have nothing new to offer.

People are bored with the same old same old. Put yourself on the bleeding edge of your profession by taking advantage of the new tools and resources which are out of the norm. (Example: In Coaching, we take advantage of modern online survey tools and blogging tools which breathe new life into our businesses.)

5. Your message drips of กneediness.ก

If your marketing message is focused on กsell, sell, sell,ก you will send the message that you are needy, which will drive customers away. Communicate your willingness to provide value, and you will develop raving fans.

6. Your message lacks กcolor.ก

An advertisement can be delivered in black and white, still have กcolor,ก and paint an amazing picture. Use powerful words which will grab the attention of your potential customers such as discover (suggests excitement), proven (sends a message of peace of mind), and savings (everyone wants more money and more time).

7. You are marketing on the surface.

People buy based on emotions. If you are selling shampoo, don’t just sell shampoo…sell beautiful hair. If you are selling heating and air units, sell comfort and warmth. If you are selling a vacation, sell a luxurious day on the beach and romantic walks under the stars.

8. It lacks your personality.

Even if you are selling widgets, folks want to know who is selling the widgets. Why? Because they want to know you can be trusted to deliver as promised. Use fun photographs and life stories so that your buyers can get a closer look at your life. The connection you will make will be unforgettable.

9. Your message lacks กadded value.ก

Studies show that people will buy if the value perceived is worth the investment. If you are charging nickels and dimes for small extras, you will quickly drive buyers away. People who กnit pickก over incidentals are often considered to be กuptightก and กinflexible.ก Yawn!!! Drop the nitpicking, and over deliver by adding extra value. Folks will love you for it!

10. You are playing กFollow the Leader.ก

People want to buy from people who are leaders. Be bold and unique in what you stand for in your business, and make this known on your website, in your brochures, and in the articles you write. You will position yourself as someone who is unique, confident, and someone who is worthy of trust.

Blueprint of Online Success

Blueprint of Online Success

by: Dr Jamie Fettig

Iกm going to introduce you to what is potentially the most valuable strategy you’re ever going to learn about Internet Marketing, or even business in general. Once you grasp this concept and make it your own, your marketing life will never be the same again.

And, you’re going to wonder why this simple idea, which is so incredibly powerful and immediately useful, is not taught as part of every Internet seminar, home study course and eBook.

What works and what doesn’t

If youกve been in the market for Internet advice and guidance for any length of time, youกve probably noticed that things can get complicated and confusing quickly. Every กguruก seems to have his own technique and says you have to buy *his* method and sign up for his software if you’re going to succeed.

The truth is, if you bought every eBook, attended every teleseminar and bought every home study course, youกd never make any money because youกd be so tied up in knots trying to figure out which way to go, youกd have trouble picking a direction and getting started.

Building an income stream is like building a house… it starts with a blueprint.

Focus on what *matters*. Once you have the blueprint, the ‘toolsก part falls into place, but tools without a plan are useless.

Letกs say you decided you want to go into the house building business. So, like any intelligent person, you decide to do some research. You buy some books and go to some courses. So far, so good.

But what would you think if you went to a course or bought a book and instead of learning how to actually build houses, you were given a กrah rahก speech and pitched on saws and hammers and twobyfours?

No instruction on what *matters* when it comes to building a house. Nothing about picking a good location, laying a solid foundation, nor designing the house correctly; Just a thinly disguised sales pitch for an overpriced hammer.

Iกm sure you see the problem and yet what I just described is how most Internet marketing education works.

No insight, no real guidance. Just กDo what I say, give me your money and everything will work out fine.ก

There is a better way.

Products are EASY when you do it right

Hereกs the #1 most commonly asked question about Internet marketing.

กWhat should I sell online?ก

This question is completely backwards. The most important question you need to ask about marketing anything on the Internet or elsewhere is not กwhatก should I sell, but กwhomก should I sell to.

In other words, pick the market first.

Hereกs why this is so lifeanddeath important. Without a market in mind, itกs practically impossible to create a product that will sell.

On the other hand, when you have a market in mind, coming up with product ideas is as easy as falling off a log. Thereกs literally nothing to it.

Now, I ask you. What situation would you rather be in?

The person on the sidelines going round and round in circles trying to figure out what to sell and how to get started…Or the person who is in the game, putting points up on the scoreboard, and having fun. (Yes, business, when it is working right, is fun.)
