Marketing Articles: Promoting Your Site Twice!

Marketing Articles: Promoting Your Site Twice!

by: Martin Lemieux

I recently became aware that promoting your web site in Search Engines can instantly be double within Google! Thatกs right, you can instantly promote your site 2 times at once!

So how do you Market Your Site twice?

Simple…

Most of us typically promote www.yoursite.com. But what you need to realize is that most sites can be found on search engines simply by entering… http://yoursite.com without the www.

Try it for a second, lets go to google and type in your url with the www. and then without the www.

So for me it would be:

www.smartads.info

http://smartads.info

The same will apply for subdomains as well. A subdomain is a section of your site dedicated to something you create but instead of residing within your normal directory, it resides within itกs own directory, like Iกve illustrated below…

Normal:

www.yoursite.com

SubDomain:

www.subdomain.yoursite.com

And with that again, you can promote your subdomain twice in Search Engines like so…

www.subdomain.yoursite.com

http://subdomain.yousite.com

So in turn, Iกve just showed you how you can promote 4 sites with all the same goal in mind, yours of course!

How to utilize your new found knowledge:

Hopefully, you are all aware of how important it is to create a link exchange program for your business? Well, what you simply want to do is to mix up your links when submitting to other companies for a listing within their site.

In other words…

Lets say I just found 4 sites that I want to exchange links with, I would do something like this…

Site #1: I would submit (www.yoursite.com)

Site #2: I would submit (http://yoursite.com)

Site #3: I would submit (www.subdomain.yoursite.com)

Site #4: I would submit (http://subdomain.yoursite.com)

Now Iกm promoting my site with 4 times the power than before!

But don’t stop there…

Do you write articles? How about committing 2 of your links to every article. Change them up with each article.

Ex:

Article #1 (How to Submit Your Site to Search Engines)

Try adding

www.yoursite.com

www.subdomain.yoursite.com

Article #2 (How to Market Your Site Twice)

Try adding

http://yoursite.com &

http://subdomain.yoursite.com

I hope this small timbit of knowledge gives you the edge you need to put your business ahead of the game!

Best of luck to you!

Publishing Great Content To Boost Your Link Popula

Publishing Great Content To Boost Your Link Popularity

by: John Taylor

Before we get started, thereกs a couple of things that I ought to point out…

1. You really should have a fairly good knowledge of your subject material and enough time to write high quality articles. Alternatively you should be able to invest at least $40 per month to pay someone else to research and ghostwrite some articles for you.

2. You will also need to have sufficient time to submit your articles to the main article directories or alternatively be prepared to pay at least $40 per month to have someone else distribute them for you.

Writing and distributing articles, while not especially glamorous by any means, it’s a very effective way to get links back to your site.

The proven system:

1. Decide on a topic for your article and either write it yourself or, as mentioned above, get someone else to write it for you. I prefer to use http://www.Rentacoder.com to hire good writers, simply because they have an escrow system that allows the payment to be held until the work is finished. Take plenty of time to write a detailed project specification to make sure that you cover precisely what you expect the writer to provide. You should also pay particular attention to the individualsก feedback score before choosing a writer.

2. Once you have a completed article, or set of articles you need to buy a subscription to one of the article distribution services such as:

http://www.submityourarticle.com

http://www.iSnare.com (Highly recommended!)

http://www.thephantomwriters.com

http://www.ezinetrendz.com/articlesubmission.htm

If you don’t want to pay for the distribution of your articles, then you will need to invest your time in submitting them manually. Once you have done that a couple of times, itกs virtually certain that youกll find the cash to pay for one of the above services!

3. Make sure that you write a compelling signature line with the landing page URL that you want these new links pointing to. You need to decide in advance where you want all your articles to link to. Your home page will give you the best results if you are looking for Page Rank and a dedicated optin page will generate the highest subscriber sign up rate. Set clear objectives for your campaign before you start.

4. Once youกve completed your signup, submit your first article through the Submit Your Article service. Generally, the article will post out from the system within 72 hours. From this point, submit at least one new article each and every week, more if possible.

6. If your article is well written many publishers will pick it up and publish it to their newsletters and online databases. And, if your signature line contains a compelling call to action you should also enjoy lots of targeted traffic.

You can be sure of one thing, once your article has been distributed you will enjoy lots of incoming links to your chosen URL.

How 7 Articles Made Me $4,800…

How 7 Articles Made Me $4,800…

by: Anik Singal

Itกs a strategy that the top marketers have been using for years and years now they even tell us to do it, but most of us are just too lazy! Well, I crawled out of bed and decided to test the strategy and was absolutely blown away!

Over the course of two months, I wrote a total of 7 articles that I published in a few places (Iกll show you where in a minute). Then, I got sick as a dog and was in and out of the hospital.

Guess what? During the time I was sick and not working, my articles went to work for me it was amazing. In just a few weeks I sold about 20 memberships to AffiliateClassroom.com, and am still selling till this very moment.

Over the course of a year those 20 memberships are going to earn me about $4,800 in profits. Can you believe that? Here is exactly what I did…

I wrote an article of around 500700 words on any topic related to internet marketing ranging from กHow to use solo adsก to กHow to get approved for Google Adsense.ก Now, you’re asking, well how do I write articles?

How to Write Killer Articles

Headline The most important to get someone to even read the article.

Introduction To hook the reader

Body

Closing

Resource Box The second most important to generate traffic

Headline

Focus the most on the headline, introduction and the resource box. Your headline needs to be catchy and needs to make a promise the person should know exactly what they will get after reading your article.

Introduction

Once they’re reading your article you need to hook them to read the whole thing, thatกs the only way they will read your resource box.

Resource Box

This is where you tell them something about yourself and then make an offer to get them excited enough to click a link and visit your website. For the best response, send them to a page where you can offer a free course.

Why Should You Use Articles

Iกm going to cut through the chase and get to the point, you use articles for various reasons they do more for you than you can imagine here are just a few:

TRAFFIC

SALES

Brand yourself

Brand your website

Free incoming links to your site

Become known as an expert…

Bottom line, NOTHING bad can ever come of writing articles only good. That basically means that you have no excuse to not write articles to promote yourself.

Where To Post Your Articles

There are many places that you can start promoting your articles, here are a few:

Submit them to ezine publishers

Submit them to article directories

Submit them to websites

Now, all of this can be very timeconsuming unless you develop a system to help you. I use 3 different automated systems to help me: A service called SubmitYourArticle.com, a software called Ezine Announcer and I also submit directly to ezines who accept articles.

If you want to learn exactly where to get these resources and how I use them, please visit http://www.AffiliateClassroom.com we did an entire case study on this topic in February.

The bottom line is that you want your article to get out as much as possible. However, once itกs out, you never need to worry about it again! It will continue to promote for you for years to come without you ever having to manage it.

Final Strategy You Should Use

I really recommend directing your resource box traffic directly to an optin page. Start building your list with this strategy and you can profit for a long time to come. Think of the infinite profit potential if you build a list!

Final Note

Do not expect this strategy to pay off in a day, a week or even a month. If you really want to use this strategy then be ready to be at it for months. Put in some work now and you will profit from it for years to come.

How To Properly Submit Your Website To Directories

How To Properly Submit Your Website To Directories

by: Jeff Schuman

Having a top placement on a search engine and enjoying the traffic that comes with a top ranking is dependent on many things. Certainly at the top of that list is having as many links and quality links pointing to your site. Your competition has hundreds and possibly even thousands of links pointing back to them. This is what it is going to take for you to compete with them as well.

Did you know that over 90% of search engine traffic comes from Google, Yahoo, and MSN. These three search engines provide results for many other search engines, and if you are listed on these three search engines, your site will be listed on many other search engines too.

AltaVista for example gets their search results from Yahoo. AOL and Netscape use Google and also get some results from Open Directories like DMOZ.

When you see an ad offering to submit your site to thousands of search engines save your money. It simply is not worth the time it takes to sign up for their service and you are better off to spend your money on another form of promoting.

What is worth the time and money is to submit your site to as many different directories as possible. Directories are viewed by human beings before being approved for submission and their inclusion helps increase your link popularity as you have more and more links pointing back to your site.

Since your submission is viewed by human beings it is important that you make sure your site is ready to be submitted. To get your site in shape to be submitted consider the following:

1. Make sure your site is completed. Fix all broken links. Have all pages completed. Make sure it loads properly and quickly. If you want get another opionion on whether it is ready to be submitted. Here is a good company that validates websites: http://www.htmlvalidator.com/

2. Find the correct category to be listed under. Although this can be frustrating it is important to take the time to find the correct category and subcategory for your site to be listed under. Choosing the wrong category could result in your site being denied.

3. Submit the correct URL. This needs to be your main domain and not subdomains. In my case that would be http://www.sitesplus.com and nothing else. Do not add the index.html at the end when submitting.

4. Write an acceptable description of your site. You need to keep it to 2 sentences and nothing more. If you have any doubts about how to write a good description go to your category and look at the descriptions of sites already listed.

5. Use the official title of your site. This needs to be the REAL Title of your site and not just the part that shows in your browser. In my case that is Small Business Resources.

Generally it is accepted that 2 key directories to submit to are Yahoo and The Open Directory Project (ODP)

http://dir.yahoo.com/

http://dmoz.org/add.html

With Yahoo you will have to determine if you want a standard submission which is free or an express submission which costs $299.00. Submitting to the ODP is free.

Here is another site I came across that offers rankings on the best directories to submit to

http://www.strongestlinks.com/directories.php

For a more in depth look at submitting to directories read this article here:

http://www.strongestlinks.com/articles/dirSubmitGuide.php

In conclusion submitting your site to directories is an important part of the overall philosophy of getting quality links pointing back to your site. The more the merrier. If you want to see what it will take to get a Top 10 ranking for keywords relating to your site just look at the number of links your competitors have pointing to their sites.

You can easily do that by going here:

http://www.faganfinder.com/urlinfo

Enter your the URL for your competitor and the click on the Links Button. You can see how many links they have pointing back to them according to Yahoo, Google, and GigiBlast. You will see you need a lot of links pointing to your site to compete with them. Adding your site to as many directories as possible is one way to do that.

10 Benefits Of Submitting Your Articles To Ezines

10 Benefits Of Submitting Your Articles To Ezines

by: Frank bauer

1. Youกll brand your web site, business and yourself by submitting articles to ezines. You could include your name, business name, your credentials, web site address and email address in your resource box.

To find publisher you can submit your articles to, you can simply visit Google and enter a keyword phase that describes your target market (e.g. business owner) plus the work newsletter or ezine: +กbusiness ownerก +newsletter

2. You will become known as an expert on the topics you write about. This will give you and your business extra credibility which will help you compete against your competition.

3. Your article might also be placed on the publisherกs home page. If they publish each issue on their home page this will give you some extra exposure.

To make it easier for the publisher, provide also an URL to a web page with your article on it. The easier it is for the publisher to use your article, the higher the chances that they will do it.

4. You might get extra exposure if the ezine publisher archives their ezine on their site. People might want to read the back issues before they make the decision to subscribe.

5. You will get free advertising. This will allow you to spend your profits on other forms of advertising. You could buy advertisements in other ezines that don’t publish your articles.

6. You might get extra income from people wanting to hire you to write other articles, books, or even ask to speak at seminars. This is a great way to multiply your incom^e.

7. You could allow ezine publishers to publish your articles in their free ebooks. Since people give them away, your advertising could multiply all over the internet.

8. You will get your article published all over the web when you submit it to an ezine publisher that has a free content directory on their web site. Theyกll allow their visitors to republish your article.

Another option would be to submi^t your article to article directories. To find article directories that you can submit your articles to, you can again simply visit Google and search for: กarticle directoryก

9. Youกll gain peopleกs trust. If they read your article and like it, they won’t be as hesitant to buy your product or service. You will then be able to increase your profits.

10. You could get your article guaranteed to run in an ezine. You could agree to run one of their articles in your ezine if, in exchange, they run yours in their ezine. Itกs a win/win situation.

Tip: If your article recommends one of your own resources, offer the publisher a percentage of each sale for publishing your article. This could be done by using a special order link, or if you have an affiliate program, by allowing the publisher use his one affiliate link.

Resources:

To find publishers quick and easy, you can use a service like the Directory of Ezines at: http://add2it.com/see.pl?ezines

To submit your articles to numerous article directories and to save you the time to fill out the forms manually at their sites I personally use and recommend the EzineAnnouncer software. You can find it at: http://add2it.com/see.pl?EzineAnnouncer

Reprint rights to this article are granted, as long as it is not modified and the resources plus this signature remain unchanged.

TenStep Guide to Boosting Your Siteกs Traffic and

TenStep Guide to Boosting Your Siteกs Traffic and Revenue

by: Nadeem Azam

1. Hunt for Catchy Domain Names and Get a Quality Paid Host

You probably have a domain name already, but you might consider getting new ones for different sections of your website or for different target markets. Gone are the days when it used to cost $50 to register a .com and most people can afford to have several domain names. Nameboy is a fabulous free tool to find available names. However, don’t register your domain names with Nameboy: they are expensive. Instead, we recommend you use this registrar who charge half the amount.

If you are using a free web host, then ditch it their intrusive advertising will stop people returning to your site and most directories will not list it. Spend some time at Webhosting Talk, which is worldกs number one forum for webhosting. There are literally thousands of hosts out there, so it can be an arduous process finding a reliable one which will provide a good level of service. The one we use for most of our sites is here.

2. Put All your Energy into Creating the Best Website Possible

Now its time to create your site or, if you have one already, make it even better! If you need a userfriendly yet advanced HTML editor, we would recommend 1st Page 2000. It is 100% free and far easier to use than the likes of Dreamweaver. Try to make your website look as impressive as possible: it is worth burning the midnight oil to make it look just perfect. We can’t stress how important it is to have a professionallooking logo; most webmasters underestimate their significance. In this day and age, image is everything and a jawdropping logo will impress potential advertisers. If need be, pay for a graphic designer to create one for you.

3. Write Unique MetaTags for Each Page of Your Site

Although metatags are no longer as important as they used to be, with search engines like Google and Yahoo no longer using them, it is worth the effort to create unique metatags for each and every page of your site. That way you will receive multiple listings in the search engines. An invaluable free metatags generator can be found here.

4. Do Some Market Testing and Then Tweak the Site if Necessary

When you have finished your website, ask your friends to surf around it and get their feedback. Big businesses spend billions of dollars on getting consumer feedback on their products and services, but by asking family and friends, you can gain an invaluable insight into how other people will perceive your site for free. You can also ask other webmasters for suggestions on how to improve your site on one of the many forums such as SitePoint or IHelpYou

5. Submit Your Site to the Search Engines

Now comes the fun part. You can either submit your site to the major search engines manually or, to save time, use a submission tool. There are lots of companies which will try to rip you off by asking you to pay to use their submission service, but thereกs no need to pay a penny. We have spent hours surfing the net to find the best free submission tools for you!If you are pushed for time, you can use either

this or this service which will submit details of your site to various top and middleranking search engines. However, we would strongly urge you to spend an afternoon using the excellent SelfPromotion.com to let scores of search engines and directories know about your new fangled creation. A word of caution: never ever use your real email address to make site submissions. Despite what they claim, many of the search engines, particularly the smaller ones, sell the email addresses of webmasters who submit sites to them and you will start receiving more and more spam. Make up your email address or open a new Gmail or Yahoo Mail account and use that when submitting.

6. Don’t Forget to Submit Your Site to Directories

The most important directory to submit your site to is Dmoz which syndicates its content to thousands of other portals. Read the instructions about how to submit your site carefully. Yahooกs directory used to be equally significant, but we don’t think itกs worth the investment any more. Yahoo now gives prominence to its payperclick listings and being in their directory will not pull enough traffic to most sites to justify the cost. Yahoo charges an exhorbitant annual fee for a site to be listed in its directory. Alongside Dmoz, don’t forget to submit your newfangled creation to niche directories in your field and in your geographical region. The more links you have to your site, the greater your link popularity and the higher your site will feature in King of Search Engines, Google!

7. Also Consider PayPerClick Search Engines

Free search engine traffic is great, but sometimes it takes months to properly optimize and tweak your web pages until those pages show up high enough in the rankings to do you any good. PPC Search Engines are based on the premise that you, the web site owner or affiliate program promoter, pay a fee to have your site/product listed before others. You can end up paying a considerable amount of money for PPC listings in search engines, but it can provide a valuable source of targeted traffic if you play the game with caution and guile.

Make sure you do your research first to choose the most costeffective PPC search engines for you. If you do a search at

Webmaster World, for instance, you will discover that many webmasters who paid for listings at Enhance Interactive have considered it a complete waste of money as it partners with poor quality search engines. Other PPC search engines we suggest you avoid are Xuppa (awkward to navigate, poor customer support), Brainfox (terrible control panel) and the European PPC search provider Espotting (very high minimum bid). A couple of PPC search engines we have had a good experience with are this one and this one

8. Optimising PayPerClick Marketing Campaigns

A good way to create a collection of keywords for PPC advertising is to view the source on competing websites. You may do this with as many sites as you want, create as large a collection as possible. Here are some other useful tools to dig for keywords to add to your PPC campaigns: Overture USA and Overture UK toolboxes shows both keywords and traffic; 7Search’s and Google’s are equally good.Patiently build a large collection of search terms. If you only use 2030 กgoodก keywords you have to bid high on them and the traffic will be expensive. But if you use hundreds of words you can receive an equal amount of traffic without having to bid high amounts. Also don’t forget the landing page people first see when they click on your PPC link must be optimised to generate the sale, signup or whatever your aim is.

9. Banner exchanges are a Brilliant Way to Build Your Brand and Traffic

Banner exchanges will allow you to spread the word about your site on thousands of others at no cost. If haven’t got a banner, there are hundreds of excellent freetouse templates at AAA Banners. We have tried over 100 banner exchanges over the years, but most of them seem to be run by amateur webmasters from their bedrooms and, as time progresses and their interest in the project wanes, the level of service deteriorates. The most professional banner exchange we have ever come across is this one. We receive hundreds of visitors from them every day. If you decide to give them a go, spend time getting to learn how to target your banner(s). That way they will only appear on sites in your category and you receive more traffic back to your site.

10. And Finally, the $$$s…

Itกs only when you have finished promoting your site that you should consider adding prominent advertising to it. If, say, you have inyourface affiliate links from the start, directories are more likely to reject your site. Therefore wait until your site has been included in directories, accepted by PPC search engines and banner exchanges, before adding banners and text links to the top of your pages.

When looking for merchants to promote, avoid the ones that merely pay a oneoff lead or sales commission. Most of the wealthiest people in society can enjoy a high standard of living because they have residual income streams: they don’t work 100 hours a week to pay for their Mercedes cars. Therefore look for stores that pay you commission for each and every purchase a customer you send to them makes even if it is years down the line. Visit Azam.bizกs directory for the best companies to consider partnering with.

If you need More Targeted Visitors to Your Site th

If you need More Targeted Visitors to Your Site this Will get the Free Traffic Flowing

by: David Parton

If you don’t know by now one the best ways to attract free traffic to your site is with articles. You find them in your email. You find them on any website that provides useful content. Take a look and you will see they are all formatted the same way.

Attentiongetting headline

Body of article ( usually offers tips or how to information)

Resource box That is at the end and involves a blurb to plug your site or product and your link(s)

Iกm sure if you think about it you can come up with some ideas of your own for great articles. A good place to start:

What is it that you would really like to know? Find the answer online with Google or go to your local library and write away!

Aside from creating helpful content your purpose is to promote yourself. Thus, the resource box. Do not include affiliate links, leave your selling for when the reader clicks through to your site.

Okay, youกve written an article what now?

Submit your article to the article banks. Article banks are depositories for articles. Like a real bank you can make a deposit or a withdrawal. There are several articles on my site that I did not write. I made several กwithdrawalsก from some of the banks. Itกs a great way to get free content for your site.

When you are republishing another authorกs article you must remember one very important thing: Never ever cutoff the resource box! They worked hard to create something useful for you. Repay their generosity by keeping the links intact.

And guess what? if you take your article and make a กdepositก itกs free for others to download and post on their site or newsletter! You could find it scattered all over the net in no time.

Why is that good? Because of your link in the resource box. That link is going to bring you curious visitors which means more traffic for you!

I know from personal experience when I find some useful info in an article I want to find more useful stuff from the same author so I follow the link.

And because you wrote so well about your topic I will get the impression you are an expert. We both know that may not be the case, but if people see you as an authority in some area they will seek you out for tips, advice and product recommendations. That means more traffic and ultimately more money in your pocket.

There are dozens of article banks you can submit your writing to for free. Just do a search on the net. And submit, submit, submit! If you write it the traffic will come.

Submitting Your Site to Search Directories

Submitting Your Site to Search Directories

by: Julia Hyde

Getting your site listed in the search engines directories can be a timeconsuming and complicated process. But, with a little effort, research and patience it can be done.

This guide will take you through the steps that will ensure your site gets listed.

What are directories?

Unlike search engines that use spiders to crawl the Web looking for content and links, (Google, Inktomi, Alta Vista) directories are powered by people.

Many charge a fee to get listed (paid inclusion or payperclick). They include Yahoo!, LookSmart and The Open Directory. It is possible to list your site for free but paying for listings will speed up the process and generate more search engine related traffic for your site.

Before submitting to directories you’ll want to sit down and prepare a 25 word or less description of your site making use of two or three key terms or phrases that describe your site. When deciding on your phrases think about what words people will use to search for your product or service. For example, if your site sells window coverings you may want to write your description like this:

ขPurchase custom draperies, blinds, shades, wood shutters, sheer curtains, and other window coverings plus browse our drapery fabricsข

Don’t be tempted to use ขmarketing speakข in your description. Use the facts and include as many relevant keywords as you can.

If you’re planning on using the paid inclusion services you’ll want to establish a submission budget beforehand. Currently, I’d estimate around $800 or so, although prices have a habit of increasing so you may need more.

Submitting your site to…

Yahoo!

Yahoo! has two submission options:

1.Standard submission (noncommercial) Free

2 Express Submission – $300 annual fee

For a free standard submission click on the ขsuggest a siteข link and fill out the submission form.

For paid submission go to http://add.yahoo.com/fast/add?+business

LookSmart

Before MSN announced it was switching to Inktomi, LookSmart was the power horse behind their popular search engine. In fact, MSN accounted for half of LookSmart’s revenue. But don’t let MSN’s departure stop you from submitting to LookSmart – it still distributes to other search engines so it’s important to get your site listed.

Like Yahoo! LookSmart has a free submit (noncommercial) option and a paid submit for commercial ones.

To submit for free go to www.zeal.com and sign up as a member. Once you’ve completed the form and passed the test you can submit your site using the ขmanageข option and the ขAdd a siteข link.

To submit for paid inclusion go to www.listings.looksmart.com and fill out the online form. LookSmart’s paid listings are priced on a costperclick (CPC)basis. Meaning you only pay when a user clicks on your listing and visits your web site. A $0.15 CPC is given for the first 5,000 clicks when you pay with a credit card online. Any clicks after 5,000 are billed at your business category rate, which ranges from $0.23 to $0.75 per click.

The Open Directory

Although the Open Directory is volunteer built it is essential to Web site owners. Submission is free but the turnaround time for a yes or no answer to your submission may take a long time.

To submit your site visit www.dmoz.org, identify your category then use the ขadd URLข form. Fill out the form and you’re done.

There are other smaller and directories you may also want to consider. They include: GoGuides, Gimpsy, JoeAnt and WebBeacon.

10 Tips For Getting More Traffic From Your Article

10 Tips For Getting More Traffic From Your Articles

by: Michael Southon

Hereกs a depressing fact if you sell anything on the web: the #1 reason people go online is not to buy things but to find free information.

But thatกs great news if you write free articles. It means you have a technique you can plug in and use whenever you need more traffic.

Writing articles is still one of the quickest and easiest ways of bringing targeted traffic to your website. Articles will bring you traffic from three sources:

Newsletters very few ezine publishers write their own content. They need free articles from people like you.

Websites webmasters want contentrich websites. They also need your articles.

Search Engines the URL in your resource box increases your link popularity, resulting in higher search engine rankings for your website

Here are some tips for getting more traffic from your articles:

Start your article with a sentence that grabs your readerกs attention. People are bombarded with information on the Internet theyกll decide whether to read your article in the first sentence. If it intrigues them, if it startles them, if it excites them, if it engages them, if it challenges them, theyกll keep reading.

Submit your articles to the article announcement lists. Here are the lists I submit to:

Submit your articles to the online article banks. Here are the top 10 article banks:

Create a กNew Articlesก list for people who want to receive your latest articles. Put a signup form on your website and invite your visitors to join. When you submit articles to the article announcement lists, include the email address for joining your กNew Articlesก list.

Don’t put a date in your article copyright articles you wrote 2 years ago may still be relevant but if the copyright says 2001, publishers will assume the information is outofdate.

Create a zip file containing all your previous articles as text files include the download link on your website, in your sig file, in your autoresponders, and in your Ezine กWelcome Messageก.

Check your articles with SpamAssassin by sending your article to this address with ‘tESTก in the subject field: mailto:[email protected] Then include a note that says ‘this article was checked by SpamAssassin and is spamsafeก.

Write your Resource Box in the third person and not in the form an ad Ezine Publishers may like your article but object to your Resource Box.

When you submit your articles to the article lists, include URLs for your article and your photo:

Likewise, include your articleกs autoresponder address:

[email protected]

Well, thatกs it all the info you need to get more traffic from your articles!

How To Submit Articles For Massive Traffic

How To Submit Articles For Massive Traffic

by: Steve Shaw

As you perhaps already know, article submissions can drive a huge amount of traffic to your web site for months if not years. The first step is obviously to get a good article written, with a suitable resource box at the end containing a link to your site to drive traffic to your site. But without submitting your article effectively, all this hard work will be of little benefit.

In this article, you’re going to find out exactly how to submit your articles in exactly the same way as people like Terry Dean, Joe Vitale, and Jim Edwards have done before you.

And thereกs no reason why you can’t achieve a similar level of success with your own article submissions.

There are three main distribution channels for your articles that you should concentrate on:

1. Ezine Editors

You need to find editors who publish ezines in the same กcategoryก as your article for example, if your expertise, and your web site, focuses on gardening, you should be submitting your articles to editors of ezines in the same genre (of course, only if they accept article submissions).

To build up your list, you need to scour ezine directories (see the list at http://www.submityourarticle.com/course/ezinedirectories.php) for ezines within your genre, check each ezine to see if they accept article submissions, and then double check with each editor to confirm that their details are correct, and that they still accept article submissions you will unfortunately find many of the listings are out of date, and some ezines are no longer published at all for whatever reason.

2. Announcement Lists

Another way to contact hundreds, if not thousands, of potential publishers, is through what we call article announcement lists.

An article announcement list is a type of mailing list that concentrates on article submissions. The subscribers of the mailing list are either publishers looking for content, providers of that content (i.e. article writers such as yourself), or possibly both.

Every article you submit to these lists get sent to all of the subscribers of that list by submitting to multiple lists, you’re effectively sending out your article to thousands of potential publishers.

You can find a listing of suitable article announcement lists at http://www.submityourarticle.com/course/announce.php.

3. Article Directories

There are numerous such article directories on the web that allow you to submit your articles, and allow subsequent retrieval by publishers. Iกve located several of them, as listed at http://www.submityourarticle.com/course/articledirectories.php

After submitting an article to some of these, Iกm often amazed at the amount of instant traffic and sales it can bring, often because many of the directories display a ‘recent Articles’type listing which dramatically improves the profile of your article for a short period after your submission.

Iกve now shown you exactly how to go about submitting your article all over the Internet, exactly the same methods used by people who are now considered to be กgurusก on the Internet. Yes, it can be hard work but who said success was easy?

Website Promotion

Website Promotion

by: Anusuya Veth

Have you ever wondered why some websites get a thousand hits a day while others don’t? Well, the secret lies in something called กwebsite promotionก.
When I mean กwebsite promotionก it does not require you to spend loads on money to ensure that your site stands out. In fact one can easily promote their sites and at the same time save money.
1. Free Links
There are so many sites out there which offer free links. Contact the webmaster and offer to exchange links. By doing this you are not spending a cent and yet your site gets exposed too.
2. Free Submission to Search Engines
This is one which I often do for my websites. The result is amazing. At one go you can choose to submit to a lot of search engines. Just type กfree submissionก in any search engine and you will be able to get the sources for submitting your site.
3. Word of Mouth
Have a new site to promote? Just spread the word around to anyone and everyone you know. Let your family and friends know about the site and tell them to inform their friends about it too.
4. Print URL
Printing the url of your site in namecards & letterheads is another way to increase hits to your site. The more publicity your site gets the more visitors it earns!
5. Submit Content
Are you a pro at a specific topic? If you are write articles and submit them to various web portals. At the end of the article put a link to your site. In this way those who read your articles will click to visit your site.
The above are some ways on how you can promote your site without burning a big hole in your pocket. Have fun promoting your site!

If You Could Submit Just One Page to the Search En

If You Could Submit Just One Page to the Search Engines Which Should It Be?

by: John Gergye

Listen. Some make submitting pages to search engines sound like the fast track to search engine ranking nirvana. Not to mention you’ll see offers to submit your site to a scadzillion sites for some low nominal fee.

Yeah right. It’s enough to make Pinocchioกs nose grow!

Because it’s just not true. Basically there are really only three search engines that count. Google snags more than 60% of all searches. Yahoo 23%. While MSN search has less than 10%. Which leaves a bit over 5% for the remaining scadzillions to fight over.

So don’t fall for the line those snake oil salesmen would have you believe. You know? That submitting to all known search engines will have the bots lining up like addicts at a methadone clinic to get at your site. With traffic following your high search engine rankings shortly thereafter.

Besides itกs not even necessary. Since if you have just one link from a site already in Google or Yahoo those bots will find you. Sooner or later. Making it safe to keep your wallet securely in your pants or purse.

Now I tell you all this knowing there may be one exception. But only for those who insist on submitting out of some sense of leaving no stone unturned.

If thatกs you, do you know which one page might be the only possible exception to the กIt Ain’t Necessary to Submit Your Siteก rule?

Let me cue up the Final Jeopardy music while you ponder that.

Give up?

Okay, I’m talking about your site map. Reason being your site map points the bots to the promised land of all pages from your site. Or should.

Given that let me make this site map submission thing super quick and easy.

First to insure the bots can’t help but find yours, put a link to your site map in the footer of every page on your site. That’s right, EVERY page. This way no matter which page the bot lands on first it can’t miss your site map. And in turn follow it to all the pages of your site.

But wait. You gotta have a site map to submit a site map, right? Well then, here’s a nifty little site map generator that should be good enough to get you started.

http://www.netroglycerine.com/sitemap.html

It gets high marks from me because it works and it is available at no charge.

Here’s how it works.

Enter your URL. Click none of the check boxes. Then hit ENTER on your keyboard since there is no start or run key on the page. Then right before your very eyes, in seconds, one general issue site map will appear.

Next กView Sourceก. Cut and paste the code into your page template and away you go. One quick and dirty site map ready for submission. Or you can edit it a tad to clean it up a bit.

Oh and if you aren’t enamored with that approach here are some other suggestions. Both free and for fee.

http://www.sitemap.co.uk/buildasitemap.html using Xenu Link Sleuth

http://www.searchbliss.com/sitemapgenerator.htm

http://www.sitemappro.com/

http://www.xtreeme.com/sitexpert/

Finally submit your site map page to Yahoo, Google and sooner or later MSN search once it’s unveiled. To help with that here’s the links:

Yahoo http://submit.search.yahoo.com/free/request

Google http://www.google.com/addurl.html

Anyway, whether you use a tool to shave hours off the process or feel compelled to create your site map by hand, submitting a site map is a once and done deal. Do so and sooner or later a hapless search engine bot will be assigned to check out the page you submitted. When it does it will think it hit web pages paydirt and get busy indexing all pages in your site.

There. Now you know which page, if any, to submit where.
