Is Your Web Copy กPlain Talkก?

Is Your Web Copy กPlain Talkก?

by: Daniel Levis

Itกs true, we were all taught in school to express ourselves differently on paper, than the way we speak. To follow rules of grammar, and inject an artificial air of formality.

Forgetting about this training when you write web copy is one of the best thing you can possibly do, unless you’re selling to the academic community. And forgetting about it may not be as easy as you think.

Do you write like you’re speaking to a friend across the table?

Maybe even use a little slang, now & then?

Or do you worry about your high school English teacher committing suicide, if he or she were to ever stumble across your stuff?

If so, do yourself a favor. Get over it.

Marketing Communications should never be about trying to impress. Prospects should never have to think about what the heck you’re trying to say.

So keep your sentences short.

Avoid big words.

Keep plenty of free space around your copy, so it looks easy.

The mind can only really think of one thing at a time. If you want your prospect to concentrate on something, make sure your points don’t require more than a split second to understand.

Look at the below example, taken from an ad for a special day care course for kids. Itกs put on by a government agency that promotes apple agriculture in their region.

The point of the text is this. ขBring your kids here, because we’ll teach them something, instead of just babysitting themข.

Read the example, and then the revision in plain talk.

EXAMPLE

This program encourages students to conduct simple investigations of apples. Students experiment, observe, and keep records as they become กimmersedก in a multisensory study of apples. Students will make notes in learning logs as they investigate and discuss the activities. In the learning logs the students simply record what happened during the activities and their reactions to what happened.

Students may later use their notes as the basis for language arts activities, such as writing poems. Writing first serves as a tool for learning and later becomes one of the possible endproducts of the lessons.

PLAIN TALK REVISION

Hey Mom and Dad, kids love to learn about apples. They’re naturally curious, and learn best by tasting, smelling, squeezing, rolling, & tossing.

It’s so much fun.

They love sharing the experience with their classmates, and can’t wait to write home about what happened. And the feelings they express in the special diaries we give them are priceless.

You’ll be giving your kids a head start at putting their thoughts down on paper. One of life’s most important skills.

And what better way to get them out of your hair for a while?

Can you dig the difference?

I do a lot of work in the computer networking field, and often need to read product specs & documentation. And it drives me nuts!

Why is this stuff so full of techno babble, hyperbole, and longwinded bafflegab? Is all of the rocket science talk supposed to impress me into wanting to do something with their gadgetry?

Almost every product or service imaginable has a technical side, and you can never over educate. But it shouldn’t feel like school.

Maybe you think you’re selling a commodity, and there’s not much to the customer’s decision, but price. Think again. There is always a technical differentiator.

One of the greatest skills you can acquire is to be able to boil the froth off complex concepts, so that they become easy to understand.

Customers crave facts, and proof, even logic in order to feel comfortable with their decisions, once you’ve stirred up their emotional desire.

Inject them painlessly with web copy that comes across as ขplain talkข!

Information Products For Profit

Information Products For Profit

by: Matt Bacak

It is no secret that the internet has created the new generation of millionaires in only a few short years. Every few seconds a person starts a home business somewhere around the world, and the amazing thing is that the market does not seem to be getting saturated anytime soon! Business is booming, and for quick easy cash people are turning to the internet.

However faced with the fact that many of us do not have a product to sell, nor do we have the infrastructure set up or the manpower necessary to distribute products. Nevertheless a growing group of people are selling products right out of their home office or their kitchen table; how? Information products! Now regular bookstores and music stores are getting serious competition from our very own neighbors. The technology available to all of us makes it extremely easy to create your very own information product; whether that is a book, a music CD, a course, you name it! All you need is a computer and an internet connection, some time and virtually no investment!

Here are some products that you can create right now!

Ebooks

Ebooks are electronic books; it is like a regular book but they can be read on your computer, or printed out with a regular printer. Because you do not produce a ขphysicalข product you also do not have any printing costs! So therefore, you can already guess, you will keep 100% of the profits you make. Even more powerful however is the fact that you can sell unlimited numbers of your book, and do not need any inventory. Nor will you be stuck with piled of unsold books. You create something now, and you can profit from it forever! You can write about anything you are knowledgeable about, or anything you would like to research further. If you do not feel comfortable with this you can easily hire a ghostwriter who will do it for you.

CDกs

The only thing you need is a CD burner and the sky is the limit; you can publish your ebook on CD, or a collection of books. You can also record you own music CD or publish a course. If you know how to write simple programs you can even make your own software. Or again; all you need is a good idea because you will easily find a professional willing to develop your product for you!

Audio Cassettes

These go along the same lines as CDกs; you can sell a product people can listen to in their car, on their way to work. You can even publish an ebook and a cassette version of the same product to maximize profits! Generally all you need is a tape recorder that can produce good quality tapes, and preferably one with two tape decks so you can easily reproduce the initial tape you made. Audio Cassettes are a bit more labour intensive than CDกs, but if you truly want to reach your entire target market, they are a must.

Special Reports

These are relatively short ขbooksข, or just a collection of pages on a particular topic. Remember those reports you wrote back in school? Think a few of those bunched together, on a topic people want to learn more about.

Self Help Products

All the products above can be used in this category; people are always hungry for information, regardless of the state of the economy. In fact; when there is an economic downturn sellers who specialize in books on how to save money or make money see their profits grow faster than normal! Knowledge is profit; and you are unique like anyone else.

How to Create a Product

You more than likely possess enough knowledge to create hundreds of information products; however because you are unaware of the fact that there are people out there who do not know what you know, you are more likely to think you do not know anything special or worth selling. Think again! Have your friends ever asked you for advice or help on something? Whether in a hobby, at work, or a relationship? Are you good at your job? Or extremely involved in a special hobby? This little brainstorming session should already give you plenty of ideas that you can put to work right now!

The next step is to think of topics you want to know more about. Itกs likely that if you are interested in something, other people are too. Now all you need to do is some research and then develop the product of your choice; you will be doing all those other people a favor by presenting them with a solution to their ขproblemข without having to do any research themselves.

Getting a Killer News Hook

Getting a Killer News Hook

by: Bryan Thompson

Getting a news hook.

When you are going to write a press release probably the most important thing you can do is create a killer news hook. A press release without a news hook is just blatant advertising, plain and simple. There is nothing that turns off journalists more than a press release that’s just advertising, and when you turn them off, they’re often off for good.

So, with this in mind, creating a news hook for your press release and media plan in general is probably the most important thing that you can do. But, how do you do it?

A news hook can be defined as the property in your press release that really makes a person read it and say, ขI’m glad that I read this. This is really news.ข A news hook does not directly try to sell something, but to put some real news in front of the reader and encourage them to learn more about you.

If you are a major company, almost anything you do could be considered news. Take Google, for example. Everything they announce tends to be frontpage news, no matter how small it is. However, your probably not so lucky, so you have to look pretty had.

If you are selling cars in a local dealership, a news hook could be if a local celebrity if performing a function at your dealership or even if they are long time and outspoken customers. If you are selling hair dryers, upgrading your model form XD1000 to XD1001 is not news outside of the hair dryer community. However, there are plenty of ways to generate news out of something that normally cannot be considered news.

To do this, you must ask yourself the 6 questions that every journalist is always asking

Who

What

Where

When

Why

How

If you are able to answer all of these, then you have something that can go onto the next stage. If you are not able to adequately answer these questions, then you have to try again and find something that can legitimately be considered news.

When you have this, then what you must do is think about

What a member of the general public would think about this news

What journalists would think

What a member of your target demographic would think

When you get this, decide how you will address each group. If you want PR, then you will typically have to go through the journalist. The journalist should have a good idea of what the general public wants and what the target demographic wants, so if you have news, they will pass it on.

With this in mind, if you are selling something specialized, and then you should target publications and media that focus on that specific industry. If you have something more general, then you should focus on the more general media.

11 Success Tips to Home Based Internet Business

11 Success Tips to Home Based Internet Business

by: Michel Richer

Letกs face it everyone wants to succeed with their home based internet business ? But what does it takes to really succeed in cyberspace ?

1. Your first ultimate start must include written goals and plans. Formulate a plan of weekly activity and be persistent in following it—if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Sticking to your plan is essential for success.

2.Don’t wait for everything to be exactly right to start…THERE WILL NEVER BE A กPERFECTก TIME! Start now, with whatever you have. The things you need will come to you as you work toward your goal. You cannot become successful in anything when you’re trying to do too many things at once.

3. Treat your business as a serious, fulltime business, and it will become one. Think of your first six months primarily as a training period. Don’t expect large earnings until after youกve educated yourself.

4. Be patient. Youกll work the hardest your first six months or so and get compensated the least. Big incomes never happen overnight. They only come after youกve properly shown your affiliates how to duplicate your efforts. Always be ENTHUSIASTIC!! Don’t give yourself unrealistic expectations.

5. Don’t complain to your upline leaders. Realize that what you accomplish is mainly in your hands, no one elseกs. Also realize that, when you see a problem, 95% of the time there are factors you are unaware of. Don’t jump to conclusions. When you have a problem, present it in a concise letter as positive, constructive criticism. Offer solutions if possible, too. Not only will this approach get you better results, but youกll be building your relationship with your upline instead of tearing it down.

6. Be organized, but don’t allow the act of organizing keep you from the most important element of a successful business: MARKETING. Market and promote your business EVERY DAY! Don’t let little problems upset you. Concentrate on the many positives…and the กbig picture.ก

7. Always remember that the only thing that will never change is that there will always be changes. Don’t let changes upset you. Know that you will have to deal with changes and other obstacles, both big and small, continually. Be prepared to be flexible.

8. Don’t be a negative thinker and don’t let the negative attitudes of others (even if they’re family members, friends, or peers) influence you. All the great men and women in history had to overcome the naysayers who said it couldn’t be done—and then went out and did it. Think for yourself!

9. Don’t be derailed by กperfection paralysis.ก Realize that you won’t be able to do everything perfectly. Do the best job you can, then move on to the next project. Keep learning and keep moving ahead.

10. Read books (such as Napoleon Hillกs classic, ‘think And Grow Richก) that will convince you how powerful your mind really is. Develop the tremendous potential in you (that we all have) that has never been tapped!

11. Don’t quit. The only way to fail is if you give up. Remember always…กYou are what you think you areก

5 Ways to Entice Your Parallel Market to Trade Lin

5 Ways to Entice Your Parallel Market to Trade Links

by: Tinu AbayomiPaul

Lots of people get confounded when attempting to exchange links, you’re not alone. The people who have the spot you want are competitors. The people who don’t aren’t worth exchanging links with. What to do?

Itกs not necessarily the method you’re using, it may be the approach.

If you know anything about SEO, you know you need relevant links to your site, preferably more in than you have out. And whether you actively pursue search engine listings or not, you’ll find that many surfers travel the web through the links they find, often without realizing it.

So how do you achieve this without linking to the sites you are competing with?

Think Parallel Markets.

When most people think of this term, they are speaking from an investment standpoint. In this discussion, Iกm simply referring to groups of products and services which cater to people with similiar needs.

If your market is delivery or carryout pizza, your market is fast food. But your parallel market might be frozen pizzas, Italian food store chains, or cheese, maybe even films.

Pizza delivery chains offer free DVDs with a delivery order because they figure that people who eat pizza at home watch films while they eat ordering in and watching a movie is (sadly) the new third date.

To discover your parallel market, think of things that your customers have in common that brings them to your site, then eliminate things that compete.

So now you know *who* to ask to link to you. But *how* do you get them to link back?

Especially as a new webmaster, it helps if you think from the opposing end of your desires.

Meaning that, before you ask for something, think of what you can give in return. What are the other personกs needs? If you don’t know, you can probably find out by subscribing to their newsletter or feed.

That way, when you write to them, instead of sending the standard cookiecutter email, you can add personalized information that lets them know that you have been to their site repeatedly, list specific issues they have stated before, and use this information to make it worth their while.

Which email would you answer? The one that is obviously a copy, personalized only with your email address? Or the one that states your name and shows that the other person has actually been to your site before?

So take a look at your site. Why should anyone link to you? What will they get out of the deal? Is your site a great resource? Do you have a higher Google PR? Do you do site reviews? Or maybe you’ll just use whatever text they ask for?

When you first start out, with no links back to your site, find other people in your parallel markets who need links too. You’re both in the same boat. Help each other.

Then as you see your traffic rising, you can start going after bigger and bigger fish. But again, make it worth their while.

Here are some ways in which you can make a link trade a little more attractive.

Method One: The Recommendation Exchange

When I know of a site that sells inexpensive tools for new marketers that are ready to advance to the next level, I refer a lot of my more advanced crowd to them, and they send me their beginners.

So in approaching them, I might tell them that not only have I already linked to them, but if they link back I’ll also write about them in my blog and my newsletter. Costs me nothing but an extra five minutes, and I’m more likely to get a little bit more than the link trade.

Method Two: The Bribe

This can also increase your reputation as an expert in your field.

Pick five people who are a bit more knowledgeable than you. Ask them if they’d like to be interviewed, for a collection, and offer to distribute the resulting resource for free to their audience, if they’ll link to your home page, where the free ebook can be downloaded.

Youกve got their link, theyกve got free publicity in a book they can and probably will distribute for you.

Method Three: Use That Feed

There are the sites that want to carry a relevant, frequently updated feed in order to get more search engine visits. So, if you have a feed, you could send that webmaster a link to your feed, and tell them how they can use tools like CARP, RSS Equalizer or RSS Digest to display your feed on their site.

If you update daily, and you’re willing to take the bandwidth hit, you might find that they don’t even mind a one way link.

Method Four: The Barter

Give them a free copy of your book if they’d link to you. Offer to link back to them if they’ll write a testimonial about the book.

Method Five: The Testimonial

This is a slight variation on the recommendation, because it sometimes ends up as more of a oneway trade.

If you sincerely enjoy a service or product that you bought, go back and pull up the sales page. If the links on the page for the testimonials are live, offer your testimonial.

Caution: Only offer testimonials on products you really used and benefitted from. It’s fine to put your name on something controversial if you really believe in it, but if you give a testimonial just for a link back to your site, you’re messing with your good name.

You should also know that they may not use your testimonial on their site, unless it’s really good so and try to be as specific as possible about how their product helped you.

The point is, if you think creatively, you can solve your linking problem.

Stopping All The Talk And Getting Readers To Read

Stopping All The Talk And Getting Readers To Read

by: Florie Lyn Masarate

Majority of salesperson talk too much. That is what they are there for and that is their trade. Oftentimes, this technique of nonstop talking can be quite effective. People get interested by what the salesperson is rambling about and some even get some new and fresh ideas from the. Most of the time though, with many already trying to talk people into getting their products and services, people get tired of listening and simply ignore these salespeople. Not all people like to listen to same things over and over again. Also, not all have the patience to try to pretend listening even for just a few minutes. If you want people to take notice, putting something in printing would be more effective than talking about it.

It is said that 80 percent out of 100 would rather talk than listen to someone talking. So that leaves the remaining 20 percent who really listen. If you think about it, would you rather read about something than have someone talk about it for you?

Many buyers try to listen closely most are not actually listening closely enough to take them all in. The many statements and promises tend to overwhelm them if they are given all at the same time. Putting them into brochures or catalogs give them a choice when to read the information. They can either spare some time for them or try to give a bit of attention during free times when they do not have to think of anything else. It is important to think that the busiest of people want some time to breathe and relax for awhile when they are not working. And it is during these times that they may remember having been given one of these print materials. With clear minds and a lot of space to think things over, they may enjoy what you have presented in these printing materials and get to browse through them leisurely without pressure. Without having to squeeze them all in mind for fear that they might forget later on.

It is most effective to try putting statements and questions together. Asking a question initially, even if the answer is a simple yes or no, can have the readers involve almost immediately in what you are talking about. Even if they are not aware of it, they tend to have some answers in their mind upon seeing a question. It does not matter if the answer is positive or negative. As long as it formulates an answer, then it is altogether a successful way in getting through your readers.

The trick in getting an probable response from your readers is to be able to get them involved in what you are into. People, being selfcentered only want the attention to themselves. Sometimes having others beside yourself think and talk is a good way to attain positive results. What better way to tell them than to have them read it, on their own and in their own time?

Don’t Expect to Bump Oprah From A Magazine Cover

Don’t Expect to Bump Oprah From A Magazine Cover

by: Roman Pericon

ขI want a pony, a tree house and the fastest bike in the world.ข

ขI want the G.I. Joe with the parachute and camouflage Jeep.ข

Those wants from when we were children haven’t changed much now that we have traded in our play clothes for suits and ties. When I sit down with clients, I always ask them what they want out of their publicity campaign so I can create a realistic list of expectations.

But I usually hear:

ขFront page of the Wall Street Journal.ข

ขI want to sit next to Katie and Matt.ข

ขDo you think I could be on Oprah next week?ข

Before I sign a new client, I make sure I explain editorial calendars and lead times so they won’t ask me ขWhy haven’t I gotten placements with you yet? It’s been six days already.ข I also explain the concept of ขnewsworthyข to them.

But it seems that more often than not, all of that explaining goes out the door.

Here’s The Naked Truth.

Sometimes reporters like big names. Sometimes they like unknowns. That lifestyle editor at InStyle may love the handmade candles that you created but if a major crisis happens in the news (e.g. celebrity breakup, Alist star caught with a call girl, paparazzi caught impromptu wedding) then you can bet your wick and scented oils the focus of their article won’t be on your candles. Same goes for almost every magazine you want to target unless you are Oprah, Bill Gates or the president – of the U.S. not Trixie’s Organic Dog Snacks. So don’t blame your publicist if your story is axed or postponed. They will try another publication.

There’s a great big world out there. Newsweek reaches over 3 million homes each week. They receive enough trash worthy press releases and media kits to fill a broom closet. Sometimes what you think is news… isn’t. And you just have to trust your publicist to alert the media when something of interest is happening with your company. Or you run the risk of an editor never taking your releases seriously when you do.

Understand your target market. I know you think it would be the coolest thing since Nobu Next Door to be on the cover of Cosmo but you sell a highend baby stroller. Cosmo readers don’t have an interest in that. Trust me. They won’t and the editors don’t have time to wade through releases of no interest to their readers. Publicists know the publications’ target audience and with the help of editorial calendars, they can figure out if you will fit in a certain issue they are preparing. So don’t get upset when your publicist tells you they got you into a different publication because the one you wanted said ขNOข to your story over 10 times. When they just aren’t interested, publicists move on.

Sometimes the more is not the merrier. Just because we have an editor contact database of thousands doesn’t mean each of them should receive your press release or an invitation to your launch party. It might sound great to you to say ขOur company press release just went out to over 10,000 editorsข but if they aren’t targeted to the right editors they will only end up in the recycling bin. I’m positive Janice Huff at Channel 4 doesn’t care about your gelato shop. She only covers the weather.

When it’s time for your company to retain a public relations firm, remember to have realistic expectations. Your publicists know what publications are good targets and they know that providing you with the results you want is going to make you happy. And all publicists want to make their clients happy.

Why Ebay Is The Best Place To Make Your First $100

Why Ebay Is The Best Place To Make Your First $1000 Online

by: Tukshad Engineer

I’d like to begin with a question – and I’ll bet the answer is going to surprise you (it sure did surprise me!).
Q. What percentage of the worlds population do you think is online?
A. Under 1%!
Just think about that for a second – 99% of the world haven’t even gotten online yet. And yet the internet is already making some people – not large companies, but individuals like you and me – a FORTUNE. Don’t for a minute think that this happens easily – it takes time to find your own little niche online, to develop and perfect it – but it’s something you can do on a total shoestring budget, and over time anyone that really wants to can carve out a nice little earning online. And looking at the bigger picture, as more and more of the worlds population comes online, imagine how successful your business will become as your potential customers grow by leaps and bounds, every single year.
Earning online is really quite beautiful when you think about it – here’s a chance for ANYONE with a PC and internet connection to plug in and start making money…enough to pay your bills, sure – but in some cases much more. And lets not forget the comfort factor – your own hours, not having a boss to answer to, not having to travel and more time with loved ones…. the list is endless.
Ok so what does this mean for you? For those of you still trying to take that first step, today’s newsletter is all about trying to get you to think about ways of starting online. And if you cant find something then I’m going to suggest to you a proven way of making a money online, quickly.
The one question I get asked a lot is ‘What’s the best way to start an online business?’ Now while I do have my own website which now brings in most of my online income, I still believe by far the quickest and easiest way to earn money online is by selling on ebay. That’s how I first started, and I still do post at auctions to squeeze money whenever I feel like it. The reason I moved into selling on websites is because I’m lazy and don’t like making trips to the post office J . But if you’re starting out online, ebay is by far the BEST and QUICKEST way of making money NOW.
Think of these facts – ebays gets a whopping 9000 new customers signing up every day and gets 1.5 billion page views every month. And for a few pennies, you can promote your product to literally an endless source of customers – see that’s the great thing about ebay…they GIVE you the traffic that would be very difficult and expensive to get by yourself. All you do is plug in your advert click on send and a week or so later collect money from your customers.
Of course there is a right way and a wrong way of selling on ebay too – You need to know what to sell. You need to create powerful interesting adverts. You need to devise a strategy – and above all you need to find really good wholesalers for selling your products. But let me tell you, one of the sweetest feelings I’ve ever experienced was winning my first ebay auction – I may have made a lot of mistakes to get there, but once I perfected my techniques and found the best wholesalers I started to win auction after auction.
To check out quality wholesalers that can make you a tidy profit on ebay check out the below:

UK:
http://www.globalebooks.com/UKWHOLESALEPAGES.htm

OK so there you have it – a surefire way of starting out online with minimal risk and funds. If you’ve never explored the wonders of ebay, please PLEASE do so – go and find 5 items you don’t need and sell them on ebay what the hell, come round to my house and take stuff if you want! ….It could be the start of a wonderful and profitable adventure!
Till next time,
Tukshad Engineer.

Think All the Good Domain Names are Taken?

Think All the Good Domain Names are Taken?

by: Dean Walden

Have you heard of the other tlds (top leve domains) such as: .free, .church, .video, .travel, .llp, .golf, .school, .agent and .love? There are many more too. Wait! Don’t wretch just yet. Iกll tell you why in just a minute.

If you look for a great domain name for very long you will learn how rare they are. Trying to find a one word dot com is a futile effort. The only exception to that is the occasional name that someone gives up. The problem with that is you must search a list of thousands (or tens of thousands) to find one and of course you must get there ahead of the next person. If you just have to have a one word dot com, be ready to shell out thousands or tens of thousands of dollars.

Then there are the dot net, us, cc, org and biz. Generally if you checked a dot com a few years ago you could find the net, org or biz equivalent. Not so anymore. Besides, the only one of these related to business is biz.

So why am I writing this you ask. First, though, think about it for a bit. I did that and realized it would be (is) great to have stockpick.free, camera.video, poem.love, game.video and loan.travel. Are you beginning to see what I mean? Don’t you agree that these are somewhat better than allthefreeebooksyouwant.com or stopheretogetaloan.com.

The point being made here is ‘type in trafficก (people who go online and just type what they want in the browser). You could wait for years for someone to go to the internet and type in one of those dot coms.

Think again, though, about how many will be looking for toy.free or camera.video. What would it be worth to you to have 30 or a hundred or a thousand people searching for a video camera typing your name into their browser? Pretty obvious now, huh.

I told you not to wretch, now Iกll tell you why. There is a wesite where you can get these tlds, and there are lots of them. They are at new.net. When you finish reading here go and see for yourself, but let me tell you two more things.

1. You need to download a plugin to view these sites (very easy)

2. 175,000,000 people already have theirs

Internet Business :: กWe All Want To Succeed!ก

Internet Business :: กWe All Want To Succeed!ก

by: Michel Richer

Have you always dream of owning your own Business and working in the comfort of your own home ?

As human we all want to succeed. We all want the best from life. We all want to be wealthy, to have a great house, to travel around the globe.

To have all of this you don’t need to be a genius, have luck or to rob a bank.

All you need is that you use the power of faith wich means confidence. Confidence in yourself.

You also need knowledge. Like the adage: กKnowledge is Powerก.

But you must ACT. Knowledge without action is useless.

Itกs like having a recipe of a cake, without actually making the cake.

So to succeed you need to know what you want and after that act on it.

HOW TO SUCCEED

The first ultimate start to succeed with your home business is to write your goals and have a business plan.

Don’t wait for everything to be exactly right to start…THERE WILL NEVER BE A กPERFECTก TIME!

Start now, with whatever you have. The things you need will come to you as you work toward your goal.

Letกs talk face to face there is no easy way to succeed with your home business.

Talk to people who succeed in business like George Walton of walmart or other like Donald Trump.

They will tell you that it takes lotกs of vision and determination. You have to be a man of action to really succeed.

Like i said there is no easy road. But of course you can succeed like me. You have to be persistant.

You have to build your business brick by brick. One step at a time. You start at the base of the ladder first.

Everyone who as succeeded in life have start at the base. Thats a fact of life. Like the man you are today, start as a baby.

Even the most dynamic, highestearning entrepreneurs in the industry took MONTHS to begin seeing an income of any real significance.

And the real wealth, the $100,000+ income we all strive for, took an average of almost 3 YEARS to achieve!

Do you think ANY of these gentlemen don’t think the ends justified the means?Do you think for an instant that the months and years invested hasn’t been rewarded a thousand times at least?

You don’t even have to think about it, do you?

So now you know ! It takes an average of 3 YEARS to build a significant income on the internet.

By never, never giving up you will reach your goal one day. One mile at a time. Itกs impossible that you won’t reach it. Unless you die.

Thatกs the only secrets to success. One client at a time. One step at a time. 100 client at a time. Until you reach thousand like me and make your $100,000 a year and +.

To make $100,000 a year, start by making $100 per month. After $200 a month. And after $500 a month. And after $5000. And so on and so on.

Day by day, your on your way to succeed, week by week your on your way to succeed, month after month your on you way to succeed, year after year your on your way to succeed.

Until you reach your goal in 3 YEARS. (Maybe less, Maybe More.)

We reap what we sow, but the harvest is never in the same season as the planting!

Today you are planting…and will be at least for the next several months.

Your harvest will come in time.

Be persistent. Be patient. Think long term.

Take action every day, (no matter how small) to build your business and you cannot fail.

5 Signs It Is Time To Leave Your Day Job

5 Signs It Is Time To Leave Your Day Job

by: Stephen Mistretta

Have you ever woken up in the middle of Sunday night in a cold sweat dreading you have to go to work Monday?

I have. And I am sure a lot of you have also.

What causes this and what is the solution? You internally dislike your job and finding a new job is the solution. Perhaps working from home where you are in control.

Throughout my work career I’ve had the opportunity to work at jobs I really enjoyed such as the US Army, a large financial planning firm as well as one of the larger ขBig Boxข retail chains.

I have also had the experience of working for a few companies where lying was the norm and Nepotism (hiring family members against company policy) was accepted.

Through these experiences I have come up with 5 key signs and or reasons it is time for a person to move on.

Your boss lies to the clients on a daily basis. I used to work in the digital printing industry where deadlines are tight and machinery does break down. I used to hear the owner lie to the customers about when a project would be completed. Of course I was the one left at the shop to explain to the customer why the job wasn’t done. The first time you hear the boss lie to a client I suggest you do two things. The first confront the boss professionally and tactfully and ask them why they lied. Usually they will try to sugar coat it, state right then and there it is something you do not agree with. Look for a solution for future potential problems. The second thing you should do is start looking for another job.

Your company or boss promises you a raise, bonus or time off and doesn’t follow through. A good friend of mine told me a story of how she worked for a company and her boss promised her three days off if they made there goal for the quarter. Well my friend worked her butt off and made the sales necessary to ขmakeข the quarter. Her boss then told her they had to double the quarter’s revenue in order to qualify for the three paid days off. She protested and the boss came back with ขthat’s what we agreed onข which of course was not the case. When you are working with a boss who is so pathetic it is better to move on. Keep your cool and start looking for a job, or better yet start your own business.

Your boss asks you to supervise one of there relatives. Remember the ขBlood is thicker then waterข from experience I can tell you it is true. Another good friend relayed a story to me about working for one of the larger ขone stopข digital presentation companies. He was hired as an assistant Branch manager or in this case the hired gun to clear out the deadwood. During his numerous interviews the Branch manager assured him that the fact many of their friends and also her Brother worked there he would have the authority and support to bring things back up to corporate standards. Well after the Brother showed up late three times my friend wrote the brother up for being late. Well guess what the sister/Branch Manager didn’t write him up the next time he was late (my friend was off that day). That sent a signal to the Brother that it was ok to ignore my friend as the Branch manger wasn’t writing him up. Moral of the story do not join companies where you will be a direct supervisor of a relative of your supervisor. It is nice to think it will work but it in a large majority of cases will not.Get out while you can.

Your boss asks you to lie for them. Once you start lying your boss will feel they got you right where they want you. Don’t do it. First thing to do is check with your labor board see if this is illegal and do you have any protection, second start looking for another job and third tactfully and professionally confront your boss, being prepared to be fired. If you are fired just wish them the best of luck, (this will most likely later drive them nuts thinking about it). Think about it why would you trust this person at all anymore, especially now that they are trying to drag you into there lies. Final point if you do something illegal or immoral for the boss and someone finds out about it who do you think the boss is going to point there finger at? You!!

You keep getting phone calls from creditors of your work place while at work. I went through this and the owner asked me to tell the creditors he was not there. OK maybe one time but after that pack your bags. Think logically if they aren’t paying the creditors what makes you think they will pay you.

When you decide it is time to leave above all for your next job do something you love. This will help soften life’s negative blows allot. Life is to short to be miserable and also to short to be working with pathetic small minded people. Always try to leave on good terms with a job waiting but realize sometimes for your own mental health sake you might have to just leave. Happiness IS NOT dependent on money, happiness is dependent on mental well being

Waffle House and the Work At Home กAntiGuruก

Waffle House and the Work At Home กAntiGuruก

by: Cathy Bryant

Letกs start with the second part of the article title who, or what, is the กantiguru?ก
Well, the WHO would be me, of course.
The WHAT could be defined as any individual who does not claim to have all the answers on a particular subject. Hence, Iกm the work at home antiguru, since that is the focus of my website.
And I do not have all the answers, believe me.
Just a lot of them. And learning more all the time.
Of course, if you’re working online, you’re always learning, because the minute you think youกve got something down pat, it all changes.
Take for example this idea of publishing a newsletter. When I first started out, it was the one thing you absolutely HAD to do in order to be successful. So I did it and I think I did a pretty fine job, if I say so myself. (I just did).
But we all know what a nightmare that has become.
Yet and still, the กgurusก will tell you it has to be done. They educate you on the best ways to get your email delivered. They explain how they have overcome the youknowwhat filters and how you need to adjust your own marketing to come into compliance with the situation as it is today. They introduce you to the latest technology that is designed to assist you in getting that ohsoimportant newsletter out to your list.
I think that, for the most part, itกs a monumental waste of time. At least in the current online climate. Perhaps it will change and once again weกll be able to get our mail to our intended recipents. Until then, Iกll focus my energies elsewhere.
But then again, I am the antiguru, so what do I know?
Which brings me to the first part of the title of this article.
Waffle House.
Gurus are always talking about how they spend their mornings sipping their lattes at the local coffee house while working on their laptops and how you can do the same when you become as successful as they are.
Now I love a good cup of java as well as the next guy. And Iกve spent my fair share of time at the local Starbucks, a particular favorite of the gurus.
Ever REALLY look around at those people there?
Boring.
Since I don’t own a laptop, the idyllic picture of sipping my Americano while working on my website isn’t going to be a reality for me. Nor is it for most people who work at home.
So why not just go someplace where the peoplewatching is significantly more interesting?
Thatกs right when I get that restless feeling that tells me I need to get out of this office and into society, I head straight for my local Waffle House.
For those of you who don’t have one near you, I have two words for you
Iกm sorry.
For those of you that do, I highly recommend it. The coffee is adequate, the service generally acceptable, and the fare is what can best be described as กcomfort food.ก
Especially the hash browns I like mine scattered, smothered, diced, and cooked really well. Like burned, almost.
And while you’re there, take a look around. Now hereกs where youกll see much more of a crosssection of society, because just about everyone LOVES Waffle House. If you don’t, well everyoneกs entitled to their opinion, I suppose.
Thatกs where this antiguru hangs out.
And I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
