5 Simple Ways To Promote

5 Simple Ways To Promote

by: Larry Johnson

Learning to promote your business online is one of the most important steps in being successful.

Otherwise your site may as well be in some dark closet, because no one is going to stumble over it.

Here are 5 simple ways to promote your site and gain some needed traffic for your business.

AUTOMATE IT

As much as possible you should automate your promotion efforts. One of the easiest and quickest ways to do this is the use of autoresponders.

There are many paid ones available and they okay for the most part. Personally, I like to use a fr*ee one you can find here: http://www.freeautobot.com

It comes without any types of ads, and I have found it to be very dependable and useful.

SWAP ADS

There are always those online who are willing to swap ads, bannners or links in order to gain some additional fr*ee exposure.

Search for them in your email messages and in a variety of directories related to your type of business.

For example, here is one that is not fr*ee, but it is wellestablished as a great resource for locating reputable ezines in which to advertise:

http://www.directoryofezines.com/

JOINT VENTURES

Directories can also provide a wealth of contacts for potential Joint Ventures.

For a small percentage of your profits you can enlist the help of other sites and publishers to promote your offer.

One simple way is to use http://www.ClickBank.com which has a builtin affiliate program to help you with just this type of thing.

WRITE ARTICLES

Yes, it takes a little effort, but writing articles to promote your site does pay off.

Sharing a little bit of information in the form of articles with others has many rewards.

Hey, we are working in an information media type of are here, right ? Everyone is looking for the answer to some problem. Help them find it with a wellwritten article and get some deserved promotion when it is published in otherกs newsletters or ezines.

PUBLISH A NEWSLETTER

Online promotion is a slow learning curve for most folks, but it is one that has many rewards in terms of traffic and sales for your online business.

While this list is not inclusive, it does give you a starting point to begin your online efforts at building traffic and gaining some needed exposure.

Remember, กRunning a business without advertising is like winking in the dark. You know what you are doing, but no one else. does.ก

3 Simple But Powerful OffLine Advertising Strateg

3 Simple But Powerful OffLine Advertising Strategies

by: Al Martinovic

There are several ways to advertise and get the word out about your business online and the best of them include free search engines, pay per click search engines, writing articles, utilizing press releases, doing joint ventures/ad coops, and posting to message boards and forums related to your target market.
But one advertising method thatกs neglected by most online marketers is offline advertising.
There are several low/no cost ways to advertise offline and I want to share 3 of them with you.
1) Business Cards
If you are serious about your business you must have business cards. They are cheap and are a great way to attract potential prospects or customers. Simply hand them out to people who you feel may be interested in your business.
Also, whenever I visit a restaraunt, bar, or club, Iกll leave my business cards in all of the bathroom stalls. (Just make sure nobody is in there of course… lol!)
And don’t laugh at this! It really works. When I visit the bathroom an hour or two later, Iกll find that all of my business cards are gone and Iกll have a fresh new set of sales the very next day.
You can get free professional looking business cards at VistaPrint.com, all you have to pay is shipping and handling:
http://www.vistaprint.com
2) Flyers
With todayกs technology, flyers are very easy to make. You can simply design a flyer online and just print it out and make copies. Then you can post them in area businesses where you feel your potential customers may hang out. (Just make sure you ask permission from the business owner.)
Or simply hand out your flyers to people you meet on the street. Many bars and clubs don’t have a problem with posting flyers in their establishments either, especially if you are a patron.
And don’t forget about supermarkets! Many have bulletin boards, at least here in New Jersey where I live, and you can post your flyer there. There are hundreds of people walking into supermarkets everyday and they are in a buying mentality. Take advantage of it and post your flyers often.
Hereกs a site that lets you create and print flyers or brochures online for free:
http://www.mybrochuremaker.com/
3) Automobile Advertising
What… ? Yes you read that right! Your car is not only a driving vehicle but a great advertising vehicle as well. You can stick magnetic signs or plates on your car with your company name and/or domain name for all to see.
Your business can be exposed to hundreds, if not thousands of people everyday whether your car is parked, you are driving, or even when you are stuck in traffic. Itกs fairly inexpensive and a great way to กdriveก home your message.
Here are a couple of sites to check out for this very sort of thing:
http://www.iditplates.net
http://www.magneticsigns.com
Those are just a few of the ways to advertise offline. Iกm sure you can come up with other clever ways as well.
Youกve got a brain… use it!

One of the most important things to guarantee your success in online business is advertising.

The formula is:

Advertising = traffic = subscriber = loyal subscriber = buyer

There are a lot of ways to promote your home business in the internet, some of them need a great amount of money to investment, some need a less more to investment, some need 0 (zero) or FREE.

If you have money to spend on promotion, you can do payperclick advertising and google ad words campaigns eventually. This is a much targeted way to build your business, but should not be attempted by newbie with limited budget.

There are several ways to promote your home business with zero investment or little investment that will actually move your online business forward on limited budget and have you making more money that you spend.

1. Maximize your autoresponder – Do you have an autoresponder? 4. Submitting your article to article directories – the way you can do this is the same way to do this in no.2, the difference is just you seach for ข article directories ข

5. Link Exchange – it’s very powerful ways to increase traffic to your site, the bottom line is if you place your link on other website it’s possible when they got visitor, some of their visitor will see and interesting with your link, and they can click that.

Most of the website will require a link back to their site when you put your link on their site, it’s very easy to do, just logging into your website hosting account and setting up a new links page to begin adding links for your new partners.

6. Participate at Forum – This is one of the easy and FREE ways to promote your business.

When you set up your account, you can create a ขsignature fileข which you can add a short description about your business and link back to your website or newsletter, that will be automatically add to every post that you make, it’s just like that you make a conversation with new people and you give them your own business card

7. The enzine solo ad – It may need an investment to do this , but it’s one of the best ways to promote your website and have an online selling, right now there a lot of enzine publisher have a lot of subscriber list, from few hundred until a few hundred thousand people on their mailing list, with reasonable fee, many of this publisher will allow you to send your ad to their mailing list, and because you can identify who like to be their mailing list, your add post to targeted list and make percentage of your possible selling become higher.

There are several ways that you can use to reach your dream to become a successful online marketing, it’s not so hard like you always imagine right? All you need just do all of this continuously and don’t give up! Your dream may become reality if you stick to it.

Blogging for Dollars

Blogging for Dollars

by: Sharon Housley

Blogging for dollars might sound like the latest game show or some new drinking game, but itกs the latest craze to hit the Internet. Bloggers began blogging for a number of reasons, but as the blog movement has increased in popularity, they have found ways to monetize their blogs and are seeing their commitment pay off.

Whether a bloggerกs focus is to communicate with customers or just to have fun, they have begun looking at ways to earn revenue from their blogs. The most popular ways for bloggers to earn some added cash for their pet projects are:

1. ) Google Adsense in Blogs

Google AdSense allows webmasters to dynamically serve contentrelevant advertisements in blogs. If the visitor clicks one of the AdSense ads served to the blog, the website owner is credited for the referral. Webmasters need only to insert a Googlegenerated java script into the blog or blog template. Googleกs spider parses the AdServing blog and serves ads that relate to the blogกs content. Google uses a combination of keyword matching and context analysis to determine what ads should be served.

2. ) Affiliate Programs (Product Endorsements)

Affiliate Programs work when an affiliate web site receives income for generating sales, leads, or traffic to a merchant website. Generally, bloggers will mention or endorse specific products and if site visitors purchase the product, bloggers will receive a portion of the sale.

3. ) Product Promotion

Businesses use blogs to detail how specific features or product addons can increase functionality and save time. Contentrich product promotion will help with search engine placement.

4.) Banner Ads

While less popular than in the past, websites with high traffic levels can still earn decent revenue by selling banner space.

As the Internet evolves bloggers will continue to seek out ways to monetize their opinions and thoughts. Daily journals and online blogs have become more than just a communication means to many.

15 Website Elements That Attract Visitors

15 Website Elements That Attract Visitors

by: Catherine Franz

Here is a quick list of components that make a website attractive. They are listed in layers of attractiveness beginning with the กmustก haves, to กnice to haves.ก

1. State the websiteกs purpose up front and clearly of the site. Do this as quickly as possible. The visitor needs to know immediately if they have landed on the right site. They also need to know กwhat’s in it for me to stay here.ก If you don’t provide this, they are gone. 90% of the sites on the Net don’t do this.

2. Give visitors the ability to search for exactly what they are looking for, if they have something exact in mind. A กsite search featureก satisfies this best. Allow the search feature to be prominently displayed and not hidden away somewhere. It is best place in the navigational system so that it shows up on every page. Sales letter only websites are an exception to this rule. Return visitors and visitors that have something specifically in mind, want the option and ability to find what they want fast. So give it to them.

3. Photos allow connection. Especially to people who process visually. Clip art gets them to pay attention, however, it doesn’t create much of a connection. Personal photos connect within reason. Keep them less than three to a page. One photo always needs to be in the top portion of the screen on the first page. It doesn’t need to be large, but attractive.

4. Ways to capture visitors information wherever possible.

5. Place items on the site that keep them lingering. Audio and video are one of these, yet there are other less time consuming and inexpensive ways to keep them entertained.

6. Articles. For solopreneur sites, your own written articles. For other sites, articles with various authors yet on focus.

7. Interactive elements. For example: response forms, quizzes

8. If you use a shopping cart, it must be fluid, no hiccups. PayPal is not a shopping cart, it’s a hiccup. All auto responders must be well written and positive. If someone purchased something, they need the energy of ‘thank you.ก

9. Give offers that are of value.

10. Clear path of where a newcomer can start if it is their first visit.

11. Newsletter that is consistent with the 80/20 rule. 80% value and 20% marketing.

12. Ecourses of value.

13. Wellwritten ebooks: 5075 pages, plus valuable information (info not found anywhere else). Length doesn’t do more than provide perceptive value. Once purchased and the vastness is only fluff, then your credibility is shot. Complimentary ebooks meet the same requirements.

14. Give them other ways to receive more on…you if you are the focus…or the information if that is the focus.

15. Automated referral system. If you want referrals for your products or services, make it easy for you to get them. Set it up so it’s as automatic as possible, and clear and easy for someone to send you a referral. Be clear on what and how you want to give for that referral.

Visibility Equates to Higher Profits

Visibility Equates to Higher Profits

by: Kathleen Gage

One of the greatest challenges businesses face is how to market cost effectively while gaining a good return on investment (ROI). Regardless of what industry you are in, the size of your organization and how long you have been in business, you must continually look for ways to gain and maintain your visibility to your market.
Gaining visibility is one of the most important, and yet often most overlooked, aspect of running a business. Perhaps you don’t run a company, but you are in sales. Visibility applies to you as well.
Before you begin to aggressively position yourself and gain visibility, think about what the vision for you and your organization is. Gaining a vision of what the organization stands for, the impact you want to have on your customers or clients, the quality of products and services, your contribution to your community, and where you want the organization to be in the future is essential as you move forward.
Your vision is your ideal future state. The statement includes what you desire your organization to be like. Again, it doesn’t really matter the size of the organization. Included in the vision are your values. What is really important to you?
Once you have your vision in mind, consider writing it down. This can help you to solidify your thoughts and to stay on track with what is truly important.
Another important aspect of your marketing is your Unique Selling Proposition (USP). It is beneficial to actually write down what makes your product or service different from those of your competitors. Whether you are in financial planning, training, banking, the beauty industry, day spas, or technology, take the time to know what sets you apart. In the consumer’s mind, Company A looks the same as Company B in many ways. The same with Salesperson A compared to Salesperson B. To stand apart your job is to help the consumer understand your differences. You can do this in a very positive way without belittling or badmouthing your competition.
A simple formula to clarity your USP is to write down every reason someone would want to do business with you.

Are you an expert in your industry?
Do you deliver in record time?
Do you have a unique location?
What is unique about your business compared to your competitors?
What is most important to your prospects and customers about doing business with you? (If you don’t know – ASK!)
What can only you do that your competitors can’t do?

Once you answer these questions, create a short message to include the key information. Many people avoid doing this type of exercise thinking it is a waste of time. Fact is, when you meet with a potential customer and they ask what you do, you want to be able to concisely tell them. This process is also helpful with your current clients in that they are only one call away from utilizing the services of someone else.
Another challenge people have is once they have created a USP they seem to be married to it. Avoid the trap of having a canned USP. Make it spontaneous according to the situation.
Your USP can be used in a number of different ways; conversations, networking opportunities, on your business cards and letterhead (if it is not too long), your yellow page ad, and in your other forms of advertising.
Periodically, it is helpful to revisit your vision and USP. As you change and your customer’s needs and wants change, you may find it necessary to adjust to those changes. What should drive any change are your core values more than anything else. When you are congruent with your values, success is assured.

Sell More by Testing your Web Headlines and Home P

Sell More by Testing your Web Headlines and Home Page

by: Judy Cullins

A client asked me, กAt what point do you change your Web site when not making enough sales?ก My answer? Within a month or so because as long as your ad copy is weak, those weak sales numbers will continue. My Web master says กIt depends on how much traffic you’re getting. If you are getting a lot of traffic but no sales, you should change it a lot sooner.ก

Your coach is number three on Google and 35 other search engines. While my siteกs hits are high, I noticed a less than 1% conversion rate for one top eBook. The culprit? My sales letter for that book.

Ways to Reach your Web Sales Dream

Test your Web site headlines and home page content to be sure your sales message is strong. Use a casual marketing survey. Send different Web site parts such as each headline that takes the visitor to the sales letter or the sales letter itself to your friends, business associates, other writers, and editors.

Say, Dear friends and Associates, กI need your brain.ก My Web site is not selling กQuadruple your Online Sales Within Four Months with Free Articlesก as well as I want. Will you rate each of these parts?

1) Home page and sales letter headlines. Includes four or five varieties of one headline. Ask your associates which headlines convince them to look further or buy your product or service. To make things simple ask them to vote from 15.

2) The กwhoก I am. Include several blurbs on your bio. Ask your associates to vote from 15 and add new phrases they think are stronger. Remember, you site is not about you. It is about your potential customers. Make sure your bio is short enough to make room for what countsbenefits.

3) Benefits and features. Know that you need to answer the question by your visitor, กWhatกs in it for me?ก From a working list of 510 benefits and 510 features, choose the top few to include on your web site home page. Benefits are outcomes your buyers want after they use your product or service. Examples of benefits are: more consistent higher income, saving time and money, or creating a balanced life. Benefits sell, features explain or describe your product.

Features include phrases such as ก5 steps to…,ก or ก7 Surefire ways to …ก Once you know the difference, then you can combine them to read something like this: ก7 Surefire ways to increase profits from your eBook.ก

In your survey, ask your people which phrases convince you to buy?

Give people a finish line (some people call it a deadline) so you can gather this valuable information quickly. Offer a free report or eBook to anyone who takes the time to respond. Give them all the vital contact information in your signature file at the bottom with links to your email to make it easy to contact you.

Bring those visitors back for more, applauding you and saying BRAVO! They will create a buzz about your great site, and send you many more visitors through word of mouth. These visitors are your personal 24/7 marketing team.

At Your Service: The Ten Commandments of Great Cus

At Your Service: The Ten Commandments of Great Customer Service!

by: Susan Freidmann

Customer service is an integral part of our job and should not be seen as an extension of it. A company’s most vital asset is its customers. Without them, we would not and could not exist in business. When you satisfy our customers, they not only help us grow by continuing to do business with you, but recommend you to friends and associates.

The practice of customer service should be as present on the show floor as it is in any other sales environment.

The Ten Commandments of Customer Service

1. Know who is boss. You are in business to service customer needs, and you can only do that if you know what it is your customers want. When you truly listen to your customers, they let you know what they want and how you can provide good service. Never forget that the customer pays our salary and makes your job possible.

2. Be a good listener. Take the time to identify customer needs by asking questions and concentrating on what the customer is really saying. Listen to their words, tone of voice, body language, and most importantly, how they feel. Beware of making assumptions thinking you intuitively know what the customer wants. Do you know what three things are most important to your customer?

Effective listening and undivided attention are particularly important on the show floor where there is a great danger of preoccupation looking around to see to whom else we could be selling to.

3. Identify and anticipate needs. Customers don’t buy products or services. They buy good feelings and solutions to problems. Most customer needs are emotional rather than logical. The more you know your customers, the better you become at anticipating their needs. Communicate regularly so that you are aware of problems or upcoming needs.

4. Make customers feel important and appreciated. Treat them as individuals. Always use their name and find ways to compliment them, but be sincere. People value sincerity. It creates good feeling and trust. Think about ways to generate good feelings about doing business with you. Customers are very sensitive and know whether or not you really care about them. Thank them every time you get a chance.

On the show floor be sure that your body language conveys sincerity. Your words and actions should be congruent.

5. Help customers understand your systems. Your organization may have the worldกs best systems for getting things done, but if customers don’t understand them, they can get confused, impatient and angry. Take time to explain how your systems work and how they simplify transactions. Be careful that your systems don’t reduce the human element of your organization.

6. Appreciate the power of กYesก. Always look for ways to help your customers. When they have a request (as long as it is reasonable) tell them that you can do it. Figure out how afterwards. Look for ways to make doing business with you easy. Always do what you say you are going to do.

7. Know how to apologize. When something goes wrong, apologize. Itกs easy and customers like it. The customer may not always be right, but the customer must always win. Deal with problems immediately and let customers know what you have done. Make it simple for customers to complain. Value their complaints. As much as we dislike it, it gives us an opportunity to improve. Even if customers are having a bad day, go out of your way to make them feel comfortable.

8. Give more than expected. Since the future of all companies lies in keeping customers happy, think of ways to elevate yourself above the competition. Consider the following:

What can you give customers that they cannot get elsewhere?

What can you do to followup and thank people even when they don’t buy?

What can you give customers that is totally unexpected?

9. Get regular feedback. Encourage and welcome suggestions about how you could improve. There are several ways in which you can find out what customers think and feel about your services.

Listen carefully to what they say.

Check back regularly to see how things are going.

Provide a method that invites constructive criticism, comments and suggestions.

10. Treat employees well. Employees are your internal customers and need a regular dose of appreciation. Thank them and find ways to let them know how important they are. Treat your employees with respect and chances are they will have a higher regard for customers. Appreciation stems from the top. Treating customers and employees well is equally important.

5 Successful Tips For Marketing Your Website

5 Successful Tips For Marketing Your Website

by: Damon Smith

This could be the most amazing article to ever be released as you read this please keep in mind that the tips I am about to share with you are from my experience with my own successful website HaileysComet Weekly Ezine.

(1)List Building: One of the most POWERFUL ways to promote any website is to have your own list to promote with. This is something that you have heard many times and it is the first thing you should be doing to start your way down the road to success. Building a list is not something that is hard nor is it costly. There are many ways that you can do this one would be to start your own newsletter or safelist. This is something that is easy to do and it is very very profitable.

(2)Ezine Advertising: Still the most powerful advertising that you can get on the internet. Ezineกs have subscribers that are looking for ways to make money or increase their incomes. Solo Ads are the best! They are sent to the publishers data base by their self with no other adverts, Also TopSponsor Ads are a great source of advertising because it is the first thing the readers will see when they start reading the Newsletter Issue for that day.

(3)SearchEngine Advertising: Now with Affiliate programs you do not have much control over the way that the webpage is built. So in order to get your affiliate program ranked in searchengines is to use a Frames Page Template. This is a text template that can be put in HTML to mirror your affilate page with your affiliate link. This way you can add your own meta tags that will help you get a higher page rank.

(4)Leads And Traffic: This can be very responsive advertising because you can target your market of buyers, Alot of time these lead companys are using FFA and Classified Ads lead pages to get email addresses of people that are looking for ways to make a income. The Different Ways YOU Can Make Money Just By Runn

The Different Ways YOU Can Make Money Just By Running Your Own Website From Home…Even With CFS/FM!

by: Claire Williams

Before I start, I thought this might interest you:

‘the average home based business household earns $50,250 a year. This is almost double the $26,000 annual salary of the average U.S. employee. About 20 percent of all home business households earn in excess of $75,000 a year.ก

from the ‘Entrepreneur Magazine’

I’ll bet that caught your attention didn’t it?

For those of you who have given up, thinking that your Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or Fibromyalgia has prevented you from ever having great financial success, think again.

Okay, so you can’t hold down a job. That’s fine! Because what you CAN do…

…is work from home!

In the past issues, I’ve talked about how you can work from home by running your own moneymaking website. It’s a great way to earn money. But how exactly DO you make money from running your own website???

Lots of ways!

But!!!

Some ways are more energydemanding than others! So here are some of the most ‘convenient’ ways to make a longterm income when you have CFS/FM:

1) Have advertisers (such as Google’s ‘Adsense’ program) pay YOU to put adverts on your website.

This is by far the best AND easiest way to earn money from home. This is because all YOU have to do is write about the topic of your choice throughout your website, to attract enough visitors to your website! Unlike other monetization options, you don’t even have to do any ‘selling’!

Huh???

Well, in basic terms, Google gives you a code, which automatically generates small adverts on your website.

If a visitor just CLICKS on an advert, YOU GET SOME MONEY!

Hurrah!

So think how much you could make if you plaster that Google Adsense code on each web page you have in your website?

Thousands of webmasters are using Google Adsense on their websites and earning a very good living from it!

Definitely worth checking out! Especially because it’s free to join!

So what are the other ways that can make you money if you had your own website?…

2) Sell your OWN electronic product/s on your website!

I suggest that you make and sell your own electronic products (like an ebook for example) because these are the cheapest, least timeconsuming, and most profitable products you could sell on the Internet.

And if you’re going to spend your precious energy, you might as well spend it on something that’s very easy and cheap to do, and that’s a worthwhile income earner.

And when you write your own ebook, you get to keep 100% of the profits! What a nice little earner!

3) Sell other people’s products on your website.

The easiest, most hasslefree way to do this is to join a few ‘Affiliate Programs’. An Affiliate Program is where an online shop gives you your own individual code. You place that code on your website.

If a visitor clicks on your code and BUYS from that online shop, the shop will pay you commission.

Commission rates vary from 5% to 50% depending on which affiliate program you join. So you can make good money from this monetizing option.

4) ‘Referrers Fees’ or ‘Finders Fees’.

Find local businesses and negotiate a deal with them so that they’ll pay you commission for every paying customer that you refer to them.

The best way of generating an ongoing income is to use **more than one** of these options to make money on your website.

There are LOTS of other ways to make money on the Internet just by having a website. But alas, this article must come to an end at some point! I’ll cover all of the above, and other ways to make money online in forthcoming issues.

So there you are, a quick overview of a few different ways in which you CAN earn money from home.

And not just good money but a longterm income. Remember those figures in the quote at the start of this article 20% of all home business households earn in excess of $75,000 a year (approximately 42,000 GBP or 61,000 Euros)!

Think about it.

It’s easy. It’s doable.

And it can be done, whether you have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ Fibromyalgia, or not.
