7 MustHave Traits For Work At Home Success

by: Trent Brownrigg

There are a lot of reasons why so many people fail shortly after starting a home business. In order to achieve your work at home dreams there are certain traits you must possess or acquire. I have listed 7 musthave traits that I consider to be the most important. Go through the list carefully. Truly think about whether or not you have the desired trait. If you find that there are some that don’t describe you then decide how you are going to change in order to acquire it. Don’t try and fool yourself into believing you already have all these traits, unless you truly do. Fooling yourself will also be cheating you out of achieving your home business goals.
1) Self Discipline – Working at home means that you don’t have a boss or coworkers to keep you on task. When you are the boss it is easy to do something other than work. This is especially true in a home business where you have your personal life all around you. You must discipline yourself to do certain tasks at certain times every day. Do not let your home life interfere with your business just because you work at home.
2) Routine – You must avoid procrastination all costs! Once again you do not have a boss or other authority figure to keep you on task. A luxury of being your own boss is that you get to pick your working hours. Make sure you aren’t putting off work until tomorrow or the next day. Doing this will squash your home business dreams faster than anything. You must establish a workload to get done every day and do it.
3) Persistence People are always starting this or that but hardly anyone ever finishes once it gets a little rough. Having a home business has a lot of benefits but first you have to get through all the hurdles in the beginning. There are few things harder than building a home business from the ground up. There are also few things more rewarding once you have succeeded. It will get tough at times so you must have persistence.
4) Desire – You can hope and wish to gain financial independence for the rest of your life but it will never happen until you desire it. You must determine exactly what you want for your financial future and then let it become your obsession. Do not leave any room for failure or you will do just that… fail.
5) Purpose – In order to build a solid business you must have a central purpose. It’s easy to try and do a hundred different things at one time but it gets you nowhere in the end. People that fail don’t have a defined purpose or goal set for what they are trying to do. When you try to do too many things at once, without really knowing what you are doing it for, then you will quickly find that nothing is working. Many people just give up at this point.
6) Education – You don’t have to have a college degree to work at home. In fact, starting a home business really doesn’t require you to have much of a formal education at all. However, you must educate yourself tremendously on your particular business topic. There is going to be a lot of things you need to know in your business. Most of it can be learned on the internet or with home study courses.
7) Enthusiasm – You must thoroughly enjoy what you do in order to succeed at it. There is an old saying that enthusiasm is contagious. With enthusiasm you will have much more success getting people to do business with you. The whole purpose of working at home is to do something you like, under your own terms, so pick something you are enthused about.
Now, go back and read the list again. Do you lack any of the desired traits? Do you possess any of the negative traits? Find someone who knows you very well and is comfortable giving you constructive criticism. Have them go over the list with you to give you an outside perspective on yourself. If you find anything you need to work on, get started immediately. This is no time to procrastinate. Your future is on the line!

Strive or Strife?

Strive or Strife?

by: Nicholas Dixon

That is the question I have been asking myself since the first day of this year dawned. Prosperity and adversity is experienced each day by everyone but how can we keep the former in our lives?

The successful among us know and use certain traits in order for them to achieve their goals. Now some persons believe that these people were born this way when in fact they had to develop their winning traits.

Strivers have an eye for opportunity as they are quick to grasp the situation as it presents itself. In other words they more easily see the solution to a common need. Strifers fail to see these opportunities as they are busy complaining about life. They are the ones who are usually left behind.

Strivers know how to discipline themselves in order for them to reach their goals. While the strifer is out enjoying himself at the bar or in front of the television, the striver is busy putting his latest move in motion. Yet, he stills know the importance of downtime.

Strivers have a need to achieve. They are always looking forward to the next move or conquest. Strifers are satisfied with the mundane activities of day to day life.

Strivers have an appetite for work. They willingly put in long hard hours even if the returns are not immediate. Strifers are the ones who give up more easily in the quest to find success. They rarely use the power of persistence to their advantage.

Strivers know how to make stress work for them in a positive way. They often focus on the end result and not the process of reaching there. All the strifer can see is the obstacles and roadblocks to which he makes a hasty retreat.

Strivers know how to think for themselves. They may seek out the advice of others but after analyzing all the information they make their own decisions. The strifer is easily swayed by the opinions and thoughts of others.

Strivers normally like to be independent. They cherish being their own boss and the freedom it brings whether financially or personally. Many strifers are content with receiving a paycheck every fortnight of month. Which would you prefer wages or profits?

Strivers like to maintain a healthy cash flow. They know that profits are the measure of their business success. Since strifers fail to use their winning traits they have more of a cash trickle than a flow.

Do you have what it takes to be a striver? It takes time and work. The good thing is that if you are a strifer you can evolve into a striver. All it takes is the passion to develop the traits which will make you strive.

by: Terry Stewart

Do you ever wonder what character traits are needed to become a successful leader in network marketing. Network marketing is a very hard business to do it is not a get rich vehicle. This industry needs a certain type of person to be successful.

To build a down line which can earn you a residual income you need to become a leader who leads by example so your organisation duplicates you. You Need seven traits:

Compassion

Vision

As the leader of your organisation you need to have drive. Drive for yourself so that your group can see and feel your drive and they will follow in your Footsteps. Imagine that you have two children a large mortgage to pay and not a lot of income coming in. Circumstance like that will give you the drive to Succeed through the bad times.

You also need to have persistence a good leader knows that you need to keep going . All to often people stop just as they are about to get some where they stop one yard in front of the finishing line. A true successful marketer will keep on until they achieve their goals.

You must be teachable only then can you rise up and become a leader. How Can you lead if you do not know what it takes to be a leader. You can not you run before you can walk, so if you don’t know what it takes to lead how can advise your organisation.

There will be people out there who will criticise and knock you every turn you make. No one has ever attained success without first enduring a withering hail of criticism from friend and foe alike.

Another important trait to have is a positive attitude, When you are seen with a positive attitude it spreads through your organisation. You cannot have encourage Others If your thinking is pessimistic and downbeat. Positive thinking is essential for a leader.

It is very easy for leaders to fall into the trap of thinking people in their downline as Just tools or instruments to do with as they will. They would motivate the group far better by Showing some compassion. Compassion is the another trait needed for leaders in networking marketing. People tend to react better when shown a little encouragement as opposed to being relentlessly driven.

To get all your organisation pointing in the same direction at once you need to have a vision which can be shared by the whole group. The key to having a vision is to get your whole group believing in it and pulling in the same direction.
